Even last year with the slow start, injuries, o-line struggles, & Carmichael as OC Carr was 4th in comp%, 9th in rating, 10th in TD’s, 13th in yds, 5th in TD to int ratio. He was arguably top 12 last year with all that working against him and you could see what he could do the 2nd 1/2 of the year. I’m definitely excited to see what he can do in this offense. Hopefully he survives the brutal start to the season as far as defenses go but if he can stay healthy I’d bet my nutts he’s top 12 as well😅

We tried to tell you negative fans that Carr’s contract was not that bad and that when all these other QB’s sign extensions it will be a deal in comparison. But no! Carr, with full control of the offense, is a top 5 qb. He can call his own plays at the line after reading the defense and move the chains. 🙌

Not really.. and if you don’t like that.. consider the fact that the first 6 games we played were against teams without their best defensive players… mind you all teams that contributed to us having the easiest schedule in the NFL! The end of the season we went against very mediocre defenses with maybe the exception of our division rivals.. who you’d already played and scouted. You’re just clearly disregarding reality in its full context.

In those last 6 games when he was rated the #1 QB, they played the Lions, Rams, a hot Giants team, and blew out the Bucs and the Falcons. And he would have beaten the Lions if he had not got hurt and they got within one score in the Rams game with 4 minutes left but couldn’t get the ball back.

I just think if Kubiak turns this offense around, he'll be a head coach within 2 years. then, we'll be back to square one. We need to find an OC who's good and who's okay with being an OC for a long time.

Unfortunately that is usually not the way of the current nfl and even less so from a young guy like KK. I hope he puts in a great system that turns the saints offense into something great. After that he will leave for a hc job somewhere else but will leave behind the template. We should hope for that and be happy while we’ve got him.

Just stop. He’s the OC, wtf are you doing thinking 2 years from now? Lmao. If the team plays good they will pay the OC good and keep DA as head coach especially if the defense continues to play elite(top5-10). You guys keep thinking about DA losing his job is the reason why people call the saints fans toxic. We have a elite defensive coach as a HC, now we have a good a good OC that can actually “complete” the organization. This is what the saints need. They aren’t thinking about KK as a HC, just stop.

@@Warrior93x young effective OCs are the most coveted candidates to be head coaches. If he’s very effective in New Orleans, someone is going to poach him to be a head coach for another team. The saints may be willing to pay him but OC and HC pay is usually pretty far apart plus there’s the allure of being the head guy. It’s possible that DA gets fired and KK is promoted but that scenario would be something like the defense collapsing but the offense is very good. I just hope for success across the board and wish them all well.

@@Warrior93x HC pay is better than OC pay my guy. It's a huge promotion. No one said anything about DA losing his job in my original post. I merely said that i Kubiak turns this offense into lets say a top 5-10 unit, HE WILL get HC offers. That is a fact. One only needs to look at the trend of young coaches in the NFL these days. Look at someone like Ben Johnson. Hired by the lions in 2022, and was interviewing for HC jobs at the end of last season. He decided to stay, but not because there wasn't offers. Chances are, he only stays with them for another season before he becomes a HC somewhere. I could see a similar trajectory for Kubiak.

Last year, he was supposed to have a decent line and, in turn, a decent running attack. Neither of those were true, yet the offense improved from 22nd to 9th in scoring. It sure wasn't because of the prolific running attack. Plus, Pete Carmichael was phoning it in.
