Samurai Champloo is a 26 episode anime directed by Shinichiro Watanabe, taking place during the Edo Period in Japan. We embark on a rollercoaster of a journey with our three protagonists, Mugen, Jin and Fuu, as they fight within themselves and the people around them in their journey to achieve a seemingly elusive and transient goal.
The anime uses a unique blend of genres and elements from past and present, effectively creating a timeless classic that is carried by an outstanding soundtrack, fluid animation and a beautiful art style.
An absolute masterpiece.
