I recommend Lido Beach on St. Armand's and Coquina Beach, Cortez Beach and Manatee Beach on Anna Maria Island over Siesta Key Beach. Siesta Key has way too much beach. You park your car and begin your lengthy journey across the sand, and especially if you're toting a heavy cooler, by the time you get to the water, you half the water to vanish as though it were a mirage. You don't have that problem at Lido, Coquina, Cortez & Manatee Beaches ... You park right near the water.

I have been most of these places. Fun times
