He definitely has some changes to make, but he does seem to be understanding his role, and showing that he's capable of fulfilling his role at a higher level as time passes. I can't help but root for the guys showing 💯 on effort.

@@mondoleemshe has a sack in 4 straight games, he leads the entire NFL in pass rush win rate, and has been a great run defender as well, and the defense is playing great rn. Wym where is the impact? 😂 he’s been a top 5 player on the team over the past month

This was a nice video. In some Seahawk chat rooms I make the comment that 2023 is the Year of Boye Mafe and Colby Parkinson. I think 2024 will be the Year of Derick Hall and Zach Charbonnet. Every year is the year of Witherspoon and Woolen...lol. Thanks again for the video on Hall. Go Hawks!

Mafe was our best DE the second he stepped on the field. He sealed the edge, rushed, pressured, fell back in coverage better than anyone we had at the position in years. Hall on the other hand, wasn't a slam dunk. Mafe earned more snaps by dominating, but Hall just got washed out at OLB. Had a decent, not great college stint, starting 31 of 47 games in his career. Totaled 147 tackles (98 solo), 29.5 tackles for loss, 19.0 sacks and five forced fumbles. In his final season, was named first-team All-SEC by the coaches. Won the national Freddie Solomon Community Spirit Award. Posted a career-high 9.0 sacks in 2021 when he was named second-team All-SEC, and had 6.5 in 2022. That's not mind boggling, nor dominating production ... it's just good enough. I still say we should have drafted an O lineman with this pick, with Cody Mauch, OCyrus Torrence, Joe Tippman, John Michael Schmitz on the board, and a TON of other good players. A totally wasted pick imo, as was Zach Charbonnet at 52. Going for best on the board instead of greatest need in this draft is what sealed Pete's departure.

He already looks better than DT his rookie year.. I wouldn’t mind keeping DT for depth but I really want to see Hall get starter reps. He has so much upside

Smoked 😂😂 dt had a injury his rookie year and didn’t play a snap his sophomore year (first year playing) he had like 9 sacks hall is not doing better than that.

@@JTB2063 dt had 9.5 last year pretty sure BUT those 9.5 sacks are not worth him being out there when hes completely clueless in run d if we keep him around he needs to only be out there on passing downs hall didnt look to great on run downs either but we will have to see if he takes a step. that being said mafe and chena will be starting next year so its not that big of a deal but youd like to have a good rotation of competent guys out there

Hall will have an even bigger and better role next season. Devin Bush will be gone and Bobby Wagner will likely retire.

bust off of one season is crazy. He was in a crowded edge room and wasn’t out there hella. sacks≠good at football. we also didn’t have a good scheme at all. if it’s still the same this season then yea bust most likely but he showed flashes
