Sekiro was a bit easier for me to pick up than Soulsborne, being someone who finished Devil May Cry 5 shortly before purchasing Sekiro. The parrying system works quite similarly (at least in my opinion) to Dante's Royal Guard blocks, so having a game that focuses specifically around that mechanic was a nice change of pace from the standard Soulsborne. It's also a much more cinematic game; The trails of enemy weapon strikes in boss battles make you feel like a seinen anime protagonist

Sekiro, when combat in videogames peaked. It's hard as fuck, You can't level anything (unless you kill bosses and minibosses) and can't change build. You have to "git gud". But when you do? Oh boy. Be ready for the time of your life. Once it clicks it's one of the best feelings in the world. It's the only FS game that makes me feel like I'm FIGHTING the boss and not just barely surviving the boss Edit: 3 goddamn typos, my screen goes dark after one sentence so I'm writing pretty much blind

Loved this game way more than Demons Souls on PS5. I know they have different play styles despite being from the same developer, but I just prefer the faster pace of Sekiro, and dying is more forgiving here.

I wish I didn't find sekiro so hard, everyone recommended me this game because I love the dark souls trilogy, and even though they told me it was much easier I'm struggling so much. Either way, it is truly a great game and I'll eventually beat it, even if it takes me a lot of time

Once you stop playing it like souls and like sekiro it feels amazing

You have to play aggressive, it’s the right way to beat this game and this how the game was intended to be. It was my second souls like game after Nioh, but when I first played Sekiro, my mindset was to move away from the boss and dodge, like Dark Souls. But then I saw a comment like mine where you have to play super agressive and deflect, and when I did that the difficulty went down a lot, you also need to memorize the pattern and when you can attack/deflect. Hope this help you.

@@shiren2881 I realized that and it got me far, but I find it very difficult to not act like dark souls by instinct, and also I don't know if I'm progressing the game correctly. I guess just by playing I'll get used to it, so alright, I'll give it a try
