I purchased a C1, I didn't need it, but I wanted it, because that ship is my home, and my play style involves me logging out in the bed, bringing a ground vehicle, and having room to do what I want.

This is a fine example of why Starfield missed the mark...... Ships are key to any Space Game the more interaction the better flying in atmosphere & then transitioning to space is a must & nobody does it better than Star Citizen. Also, a mention for the Artists/Creators who have created these ship designs is truly inspiring complementing what we all perceive to be possible future transport.

Starfield......and i was sucked in, was built on a lie, from a 'Todd the Liar'. Starfield is a shallow, vacuous shell of a con, No space flight, sterile content in a dead universe. Star Citizen isnt perfect, yet its honest and open, and didn't withhold game features to satisfy a $ contractual agreement.

@@davewills6121 He didn't really lie per say, you can do space flight and there is "exploration". It's just mediocre, repetitive, and feels extremely dated. The only thing I think the game does well is how the locations people live or work in feel. There's a lot of detail there, and that's always been one of Bethesda's strengths. The main story was also surprisingly interesting, though most of the writing and voice acting was poor to average. It was a strange experience - I don't think I've ever had so many mixed feelings about a game I've played in the last 30+ years.

Love this because this is what got me into Star Citizen to begin with. There is something just so satisfying about putting your ship into cruise control and just staring out the window. Being able to waltz around your ship as its coasting. First ship I got was the Drake Cutter, and I was happy to just float about Area 18 with the rear door open. I later upgraded to the Connie Andromeda. Eventually I ended up with the Carrack which became my go-to ship that can be used for generally everything. And yes, I still will hang out at Area 18, Carrack ramp open. :)

I wouldn't say I'm a ship enthusiast, and yet the 600i commercial is what got me to back the project. Gave me Mass Effect vibes and fit the 5-crew sci-fi experience I was looking for from movies, shows, and books. I was able to afford the 600i Explorer because I had money left over from a recent move. I wouldn't normally have had the funds, but SC is as close as I'm ever gonna get to the Sci-fi Life, so it was worth it. 👍🏿

I do love the ships in this game. It's a big part of why I like long haul trading. It gives me the time from A to B to simply enjoy being in a spaceship, and gives me an excuse to fly to all sorts of different places in the game from tiny outposts to cities, space stations, and of course the nearly in live distribution centers.

When I grew up, some of my absolute favorite shows were Star Trek TNG and Voyager, and seaQuest DSV. Shows where people explore the neverending unknown in a floating high-tech vessel as home. I have always dreamed of doing something like this, but by myself and in an accordingly smaller vessel, more akin to Flight Of The Navigator. Currently the only ship giving me home vibes is the 600i though which I would normally consider a bit too big.

600i is Ok!, yet No windows/Views, like so many CIG ships, the only truly immersive ship for exploring and taking in the vistas is the Phoenix. Have a 600i as a CCU, but that feature will not be fixed, just like a lot of the Reclaimer wont. And the Reclaimer 6-7 yrs ago was beautiful.

C1 Spirit my baby. I want an enlarged version with more habitation space like the Mercury Star Runner but be only one decked. Like the upcoming Zeus which I think will make the Spirit a tad irrelevant.

I think the C1 will survive the Zeus. They’ve already confirmed the spirits are faster and more manoeuvrable compared to the Zeus lineup. The CL is looking like it’s the best for cargo in its bracket but will have to see if it can survive any hostile encounters

C1 is faster than zeus, but zeus cl carries more than c1. Also c1 has vtol which is something you do or don't want.

When 3.23 goes live, and better when 3.23+ drops, we are closer to NPC Crew and AI Blades, everyone keeps telling me im wrong about this aspect of the development, they have said it wont be long, and its on the ROADMAP, so i conceed....its not long now, i really want a SOLO Javelin, Perseus and Polaris, NPC Crew/ai Blades will also make using the Mole easier, with my NPC Crew. Also, ''Custom Ship Paints'' are very close, the chance to customise my fleet is most welcome. Cant see why i could never jump on board with the whole ''NPC Crew/AI Blades'' are coming for 3.23+. Its enlightning and comforting. Big ships RULE!

I mean, at the end of the day Spaceships are essentially the Sci-Fi equivalent to the husbando/waifu culture in Gatcha games or discussing people's favorite Pokemon; because there is such incredible variety it's inevitable everyone will find one they love and feel passionate about, and some will experience things with their favorite that they will resonate with -even if it was suboptimal. But ultimately... I can't agree with you. True, spaceships are what get people to buy into the idea of SC, but gameplay and innovation is what makes people stay. As gameplay stagnates, so will the game ,which is why most long term SC players simply look on from a distance and pray something interesting is patched in. Regardless, a great video man, keep it up!!!

Towards the beginning of my SC Career and before I ended up buying myself a Freelancer Max for Christmas, I spent many, many hours in a rented Constellation Andromeda doing trading loops to save up for something larger. The only cash ship that I had at the time was a Titan. That is like driving a bus but fun.

@@jedi_drifter2988 the best use I personally had for it was XT. Running yellows and having the turrets manned plinking off the interceptors on the way back to Jericho. Worked perfectly. I personally use it as my bunker runner now.

I think currently SC leaves a lot of potential for ships on the table. Be it visual customization (custom paint jobs, decals, interior props), tuning/meaningful custom components or simply naming, there is still so much left to be desired when it comes to making a ship truly feel like it belongs to its owner and I think the devs should expand on that area as soon as possible. Dropping a few skins every year for some select ships just doesn't cut it.

Wouldn't mind some freedom in my interior though. Everyone is different why not let US have the opportunity to decorate the interior, I want to replace the bed in the 400i with a bigger bed so my girlfriend doesn't have to sleep in the community crew quarters, decorate my garage with hanging lightbulbs, my girlfriend always tells me how she could make the Connie "cozier" for us to live it. its part of the reason the MSR failed is cause everyone's "secret" compartment is the same. I hope some form of interior design is possible in the future. I've been watching your videos since I was a kid farrister and I want you to know your amazing and I hope this makes some people want some personal freedoms in their ships.

I am getting back to the game since 2016. I have a few noob questions. If you land some random place and log out in your ship bed, does you ship sit there waiting to be salvaged while you are gone?

Only for a period of time. Then the server will eventually “clean it up “. But it’s best to log out in the middle of space. Far fewer bugs that way.

according to the specs it's got a 400 SCU grid and enough internal space for 3 nova tanks parked on pads so banking on seeing over 1k SCU cargo stacked

Because there is no other reason toplay a space game than to fly spaceships and explore in them and basically do anything in them. people saying "I just want to be a MT farmer" are delluding themselves, as farming simulators will forever offer better gameplay than SC for that, same for those that want ro just stay in a log cabin in the woods and any other career or activities that don't involve spaceships : other games will always do their specialty better, more in-dept, more interesting. The single appeal of SC is it's spaceships, and what CIG are master at, are spaceships and what you can do with them.

Im not buying any more large ship pledges after engineering.... i am not very good with social skills so i wont have a crew to move them.... maybe if they develop AI crews. Anyway.... having ssaid that.... im buying mid sized ships like the Zeus.... im looking forward to its deployment to buy its pledge..... getting the Hauler.... i absolutely love its shape.... i have many ships, but i feel like i need that one..... sorry for being so shallow...lol.

Except for that rear elevator, the big one near the armory it will swallow you up, that Carrick is hungry.. it's almost like a jail cell, only if you have teammates on the ship to release you or you'd be stuck there unless you log off.😅😅😅

There has never been a need to spend a king's ransom on a Pledge ship!! You will be doing THAT in game for some ships!! But however you acquire (or not) you ship of choice, it makes sense to care for and about it. It IS after your main means of earning your way through the game. When Base Building and Farming become a thing, this Kingship of Ships might, just might need revisiting.

Hull c has so much wasted potential... the fact that you can only trade 3-4 kinds of items that are barely worth the time and you cannot even sell rmc, quant etc from salvage is so inconvenient. I wanted to use hull c as a drop out point for vulture or loot ships. It is possible but you cannot sell them... unless it changed in 3.23 it is so disappointing

CIG is their own worst enemy. I wish people would stop buying pixels and start demanding that they actually complete this game. As long as they can milk the cash cow for pixels they drew years ago, they have no incentive to complete this game. Just look at how little they've done sense the last citizenCon. Its clear to see this game wont be live for at least 5 more years, which is what you should expect when you buy a product that they havent even finished designing.

The problem with this idea is that let's say everyone, en masse, stops paying anything. Now what? They still have buildings to pay off/pay rent on, people employed, R&D to pay. They fumbled the money, so now they down size. Smaller office, smaller teams, less costs. Stuff still doesn't go fast enough because they've had to down size, so we continue to strike with our wallets. CIG barely survives miraculously, but ofc because they had to moreso survive (and dare I say, perhaps Chris Roberts even had to sell some assets) instead of work harder on stuff, we still strike and less and less money comes in. See where this is headed? A bankrupt company with not even a tech demo anymore cause CIG couldn't pay Amazon anymore for their servers. Ofc CIG would be best off to hurry up more, but just striking without other options is not the solution

@@AnymMusic They need a fire set under their feet, they are not in a rush to complete anything. Indeed as it stands they have an economic incentive to stretch it out as long as humanly possible. They have made what? 600 million developing a game, perhaps they have some money laying around.
