@Grace-vk3jd you do not need to speak in a different tongue/language for God to hear you. You need to pray in earnest and you need to change your life then God will hear you. Read 1 Cor. 14:22 and tell me what you understand that the verse is trying to tell you!

The only time the devil can't hear you is in your thoughts. He is not a mind reader. The Devil can also interpret tongues and he can also put words in your mouth without you knowing because you don't know what you are saying and you don't have an interpretation.

It depends on if you did recieve the GIFT to speak in tongues, but you can't be alone there must be one that recieved the Gift to explain the one speaking in tongues and one to acknowledge that was spoken in tongues ❤ BLESSINGS 🙌

@TrudieOtto, there are many examples of pastors that speak in tongues and then people find out that they are deceiving people. I have not heard of one person that translate if a person spoke in "tongues"

If you believe Jesus is the son of God and he was raised from the dead you are automatically filled with the Holy Spirit. You don't need people to pray over you or for you. YOU DONT NEED TO SPEAK IN TONGUES TO PROVE YOU ARE FILLED WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT. Read your Bible and believe. You will only need another language if God brings you to witness to people of another language like Peter and the disciples. Oh and by the way speaking in another language is a minor gift. Use the gift God gave you.

Speaking in tongues is a sign of the end time when I speak in a tongue no one will understand. But when I prophecied every one will understand. Even the ones that are speaking in tongues don't understand what they are talking

No don't try that. God has given you a different gift, ask Him to show you which gift you have. Tongues is a minor gift, a very minor gift. Rather ask for discernment, hospitality or charity. All the gifts are free you don't have to pay for them. The disciples did not pay for their gifts.

Do not be deceives about speaking in tongues. It merely means speaking in different languages. On the day of Pentecost when the apostles spoke in tongues, everyone present understood in his own language. The bible also clearly states that no thing from God is done in secret. Study yo show yourself approved listener and dont follow the dictates of every preacher on youtube because the devil is out to deceive us and will do so through pastors. Read your bible and prayer for enlightenment from the Holy Spirit.

On day few yrs back in a prayer meeting, this other woman started praying in tongues, I could clearly hear that the language was Hebrew though either she or myself are of hebre Hebrew descendants. I was buffed and God said, I just wanted you to hear how the Hebrew language sound like. Another tie I was praying with two sister in the Lord. The moment I opened my mouth to pray, it was tounges for an hour long, I could not bring myself to praying with understsng no matter how hard I tried. The next day the other sister told me that I was praying in one of Nigerians language. We are both South Africans. That I believe is God own doing.

Yes I also believe you talk in a world language not gibberish. Witnesses have also identified Hebrew as one of them. Peter spoke a language not gibberish. The foreigners understood what he was saying and that is the reason the were saved.

Water baptist has nothing to do with speaking in tongues or been filled with the spirit. Water baptist is the outward proof of you believing in Jesus as the son of God. Read your Bible and find a Bible teaching church. The gifts are free and we all get different gifts. So be satisfied with the gift God has given you and not what man demands you get.

1Corinthians 14v2 for he who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men BUT TO GOD for no one understands him however in the spirit he speaks mysteries. 1Cor 14v4 he who speaks in a tongue edifies himself 1Cor14v14 for if i pray in a tongue my spirit prays but my understanding is unfruitful

Pastor Rick Renner. In Matthew 15:21-28, we find an interesting passage, of a desperate mother seeking the release of her little daughter tormented by a demon. Taking a shallow reading, it seems that Jesus first ignores her, seems not to care about this poor mother's suffering and then compares her to dogs. Could you explain why Jesus acted that way towards that woman?

No no no. You automatically have the Holy Spirit if you are a child of God. Do you believe Jesus is the Son of God, he died and was raised from the dead you are automatically filled with the Holy Spirit. Speaking in tongues is NOT AN INDICATION OF YOUR SALVATION.

Speaking in tongues is not the evidence of the Holy Ghost it never was and never will Apostle Paul said when you speak in a tongue there must be 2 or 3 to interpret it or he must be silent. Now let me say this the only baptism to receive the spirit of God is in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. This is the only way. You are not preaching the real gospel. You ought to read William Marion Branham message of the hour. Paul said to prophecied is better than speaking in tongues. Renner you are preaching a false gospel. Repent and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ and you will receive the baptism of the Holy Ghost

Sorry to say this, but you are misleading people. You need to read the Bible and pray. This is all that is needed. Read 1 Cor. 14: 22 and Acts 2. Then you will see that your understanding of speaking in tounges is wrong. In short, to speak in tongues is to spread the word to the people/person that do not believe. That is God helping you speaking to a person that cannot understand you! It is less necessary today because most of the time you can speak to anyone through a translator.

I think it would be wise for you to search the Scriptures first than to stick to what you were taught. Read the Bible yourself and ask God to open your eyes of understanding. This man is right on point according to Paul's teachings. When I got baptised, just as I came out of the water I started speaking in tongues and as I'm growing in the Lord He's giving me more and more utterances although I don't understand what I'm saying but sometimes I speak till I cry. I hear a lot of people saying preaching the gospel is a new tongue that doesn't make sense at all. It speaks about a language that you don't understand and sometimes nobody does except God reveals it to you or someone to interpret which is another gift. We must be baptised by the Holy Spirit and the evidence is tongues for God is a Spirit.

Just know this comment is so far from scripture and clearly based on someone else's interpretation...the scripture is clear that Speaking in tongues is to edify the individual, prophecy is to edify the body.
