Why some people regret moving to Malta ? I asked the general Expat community what are the things they do not like in Malta and if they regret moving here. Majority of the people are happy living in Malta and they do not have regrets moving here. However there are other people that make high expectations about Malta and then they get dissapointed once they spend few months living in Malta

Alex love you.. ❤ Don't care what people say! You can talk about whatever you choose to! It's a free world. There are many jealous people out there. You should be flattered.. the best form of a compliment! You give fantastic information! We all like different things & Malta like many others give you choices. Thanks for the great info. Keep up the great work. You are helping so many people. Forget the negative Annie's ..😘🤣🙏❤️

If you avoid the tourist places and live in the south, you don't need millions. Embrace the Maltese people and their culture and you can have a nice life. Gain their respect and you will be fine. Saying that, under 1500 a month after tax and it gets hard.

I visited for two weeks last autumn. I found Valetta crowded, noisy and touristy. Would I live there? If I had a very good job I would be willing to. With good housing on a quiet street it would be OK. Would I retire there? NO. The islands don't have enough to offer. It's awfully hot and humid. Beaches are not great. Too much traffic, poor transport. Some Filipinos told me they preferred Dubai because they had more social activities there.

„I don’t want to be more than 12 minutes” - clocks in at 19 😆 On a serious note: Alex - keep on doing what you’re doing. People are no longer used to open discussion if they accuse you on being biased. I’ve watched a few of those „negative” videos and so far the pros still outweigh the cons. I mean, the problems that Maltese and expats alike experience in Malta exist in many European big cities (overcrowding, pollution, weird incidents, occasional crime). Just few weeks ago I read in local news about girl who had a similar gross experience. Except the offender was doing his „business” right on the high street while driving his car! Aside from the incidents like that, it looks like one’s attitude towards Malta really boils down to the level of income - you earn good money - you live an amazing life with very little to complain about. You earn little - well, the cost of living, the bureaucracy and working conditions will eat you alive. You like about anywhere else.

Don't compare us to big countries. We are a dot on the map. A small island in the middle of the Mediterranean sea. We shouldn't have reached the stage of no values, no morals and corruption and dishonesty. This happened because of bad management and greediness of our country. Plus we are Roman Catholics who lost our Maltese identity. Someday hopefully we will get it back. Because we are leaving a bad situation for our kids if we continue on this path.

I apologise on behalf of my fellow Maltese for the obnoxious behaviour of some local and maybe not-so-local 'animals', with all due respect to animals. We are not all the sort of uncivilised herd such as the one in the video. Pity that we all get grouped together just for being Maltese by affected expats though I can't say I completely blame them for doing so. In any case, most of us are not this sort of inhuman being.

Malta is not what it was in the 90's. You will make the biggest mistake in your life. Your kids will lose all the sense of morality, values and honesty. And you will live in an overpopulated country with lack of fresh air and pollution. Your home will be a dark chicken pen

"REGRETS , I'VE GOT A FEW " - But as they say, better to have tried and failed, than to have never tried at all. One has to learn from own experiences and mistakes and move on , life wasn't meant to be easy I'm told. Re - ' unfortunate distressed lady @ the beach ', I would have gone to the Police and reported the incident/s supported by the mobile phone footage. We've had cases 'here' where in time they've gone further by sexually assaulting and even murdering their victim/s - God forbids it won't start happening in Malta 🙏. Personal Safety is very important nowadays! It's very upsetting to see that currently certain sections of Malta's economy are based on "cheap labour" - it's IMMORAL 😢. Thanks Alex 🎤 🎥👏 Cheers 👍🇲🇹❤️🇪🇺™️

This is happening for people in India for Canada too- in India someone promises them something huge/a paradise and then they get here and find out it’s not like that in Canada at all- hard to find jobs for foreigners and cost of living and rent is through the roof. They are getting pre scammed in India- it’s not Malta or Canadas fault- Canada however has figured this out and are now trying to put a stop/cap on this/foreign students and certain things they can do. Malta and Canada are amazing but no country is perfect and post pandemic life is not the same as before anywhere.

When the male said he couldnt find meditation for his mirgraine well l find that difficult to believe it as l was there with my mother and she was very bad couldnt ooen her eyes and was very sick. l took her to the local doctor and since then she hasnt had a mirgraine which i could find the same medicine for me. My parents are maltese and they go back a lot but are very disappointed in how they are treated last time by ppl that have moved over there one asked my mum to cook her own food because the chef didnt know how to cook what was on the he isnt maltese. Obviously it is different for EU citizens and non EU nationals. But there should be no surprise in that. EU is already a kind of " Con-Federation" so EU citizens have rights and conditions which a third country nationals do not have. But it is OK as it is same even if you go to the USA. As citizen you have different possibilities as a non citizen

Malta today. Dishonesty, corruption, No sense of morality or values. Overpopulation, which have brought pollution. Lots of people suffer from health issues. Countryside will soon be non existent in a few years time because it is being built with high and suffocating small apartments. To live a decent life you have to work night and day. Because cost of living is high and salaries are low.Our kids are leaving because they can't afford to buy their own home though they work night and day. They can't give their kids a good upbringing because to work kids have to live in childcare hardly seeing their parents .Because grandparents and relatives have to work too to live decently. We never had people begging for food and living in shelters like we do today.Places of entertainment are non existent to serious Maltese youths. Because all you find is legal drug addicts, drunken people and fights and criminal acts
