Tears of the Kingdom takes everything that made Breath of the Wild so great, and takes it even farther. Better exploration, super impressive new mechanics, and a smoother experience overall. This game has impressed me at every turn, and I think it's the perfect followup to the original. I'm over 60 hours in and I feel like I've just started playing. Thanks for Watching!

I began tearing up during the opening on the Great Sky Island ;-; This game came at the perfect time and was 1000% worth the wait. Cannot believe the joy this game brings and cannot wait to get back to playing it and make videos about it - have yet to do the final boss so what you said about it has me very very excited! Will probably do it once I've done all the side adventures. (Also can we agree how amazing the item progression of this game is where once a fusible horn becomes redundant as a weapon fuse you can just start using it as an arrow head? It's such amazing design where even when you've become stronger you can STILL use those items instead of just having them clog your inventory!) Amazing video Hero!!

It really feels like playing Breath of the Wild again for the first time, but somehow even more magical because there's a touch of familiarity thrown in there too! Also that's a great point about the item progression, I should probably start using my low level construct horns as arrows instead of selling them all

You may be surprised to hear this, but you're probably the most positive Tears of the Kingdom player I've seen who isn't a journalist! There are quite a lot of people out there who are really tearing into this game's flaws, so I appreciate your more optimistic approach!

Yea It was kind repetitive to hear the imprisoning war story again after the dungeon, however I feel like they did that for a reason since you can tackle any dungeon in order. It could still be improved. This game is actually very special to me since it is the very first Zelda game I pre ordered and got in day 1. I remember BOTW being very iconic and memorable. I started playing BOTW in the summer of 2022 when I was in my way to be a senior at High school. BOTW reminds me of my days in summer school, I was sooooo addicted to that game that I brought my switch with me just to play it when I have the chance. Plus I bought the DLC a week later and did the entire DLC before calamity Ganon making the MAIN STORY a bit more interesting despite it being memories. Honestly BOTW’s memories weren’t really a bother to me as I got to see link 100 years ago and the rest of the characters. It made the story a bit more impactful and sad. Imagine waking up 100 years later with no memory but once you get them back you realize that they are all gone. Yea after getting Link’s Classic green tunic (it’s my nostalgia towards Oot on 3ds) and DLC 2 I went straight to calamity Ganon seeing it for the first time. But I was a bit underwhelming. Totk on the other hand was a special case, finally a Zelda game I can experience blind, with BOTW and other Zelda games I’ve seen the bosses and heard some lore while gameplay is in the background. Totk felt like a true Zelda game that I can play blind. Also thanks to the their decision to make the marketing for this game a bit vague since I wasn’t expecting underground or new gameplay elements. Totk became my number one favorite game and playing the game makes me feel nostalgia for some reason. Bosses music and dungeons are definitely a step up. I love the Devine Beasts as well as the blights, but it is repetitive. I was surprised that shrines are back and the call backs to BOTW, like the shrine of resurrection type opening with that opening title sequence. There were moments in this game where I was just flabbergasted that this is a sequel to one of the most iconic open world games in terms of Zelda games at least.

I think that’s the big difference between Nintendo games and other gaming studios. You have Nintendo that makes you FEEL the purpose and magic of the game whereas other companies make you feel it through cutscenes.

This game is so... I have no words for it at the moment. There's just no way something like this should even exist. The way the physics and abilities don't cause the game to bug out like crazy feels straight up impossible. While some of the gripes I had with Breath of the Wild didn't get addressed as much as I wanted them to, a good chunk of them did, and there's a whole lot of new stuff that makes Tears of the Kingdom an excellent and worthy follow up.

8:20 the absolute worst part of the game. God i hate the sage power system. How many times do i try ro pick up a bombflower and accidentally blow it up because i triggered a sage power. Or how many times have i yeeted something off a cliff because of the wind ability. SO AWFUL.

I agree. Reusing the same hyrule from BOTW is insanely disappointing. The sky islands have nothing worth seeing. The depths are shit. Story is shit. Dungeons are shit. Too many problems for me

Imma just say this out loud, tears of the kingdom is a good game, but a bad narrative sequel, there is no continuity whats so godamn ever, and the sheikah technology is just fucking nowhere and i mean sure the towers were probably repurposed for thr skyview towers, but what about the divine beasts?? Guardians??? Not even the damn sheikah shrines???? Dude I don't want Nintendo to make a super narrative about what happened with those, but give le something! And what about revali, Urbosa and Daruk? They do not seem to ve mentioned at all and I do not include Mipha because she actually was featured, as a statue and plaza yes, but at least its something and its characterization of a character's death, regardles....the game is good, but it is not a good sequel, I like they added ganondorf and that they at least gave him a reason to be, but it feels so bad to think the champions meant nothing, the legacy they left, meant nothing.
