Tech isn't dead for a simple reason you can't die of fall damage in star wars

That one shot in episode 3 lingered on the Clone in black armor, watching Crosshair be escorted out of the lab, for quite a long time. He’s also built like Tech, and seems to have prosthetic legs…

I like the Idea of Plan 99 being a sacrifice play, but knowing Hunter, Echo, Tech, and maybe Omega know what the plans were and understood them. I wanna believe that they all have like different solo survival plans for like when Hunter got captured by the Empire and Crosshair used him as bait to bring the batchers to Kamino. Literally when we first met Tech during the Clone Wars it showed us that Tech records and does literally everything and anything he can to learn has much about a unknown planet. Like when Anakin, Rex, Echo and the Batchers needed a way of Tabors city, Tech pulled out his arm pad, and showed the he had animal creature recordings and was able to bring a flock of them close either for them to jump down on and ride away. I think Tech is currently surviving somewhere on Tarkins planet like the Clone Cadets we seen already

Anything is possible. The fact that the doc showed them tech’s goggles means they were at the crash site so it’s possible they picked him up. I mean it would be fitting to have them all back together

I’m more willing to believe Tech being alive than all of the lightsaber stab victims in Disney Wars combined. It’s just common to assume in a Movie/Tv show when they game end a character and we don’t see a body it’s most likely a fake out.

I think in the finale we'll see the WHOLE team together again--Hunter, Wrecker, Tech, Crosshair, Echo, Omega--fighting side by side, for one last heroic fight, the main theme playing.

Tech is probably comatosed. The science guy will likely get desperate to please the emperor and use tech to create a clone as they never manage to get Omega back. The experiment goes wrong as tech isn't a 100% match and Snoke is born.

I went to Star Wars Celebration last year, spoke to Dee Bradley Baker, and asked about Tech. Although he wouldn't give me a yes or no answer, I am very much sure by his reaction that he's dead.

It'd be cool seeing him alive. But then it'd also kind of take away from the impact of his death.

a super soldier clone would be a cool climax for the show, tech surviving I could see but I think he'd actually find ways to live off the land and evade capture. With how long he's worked with hunter is primarily why I'm thinking this.

Tech is clearly the new trooper we saw in the first 3 episodes(and he’s in the trailer). They did to tech what they did to echo, not hard to connect those dots

He did fall with his grapling tool, he could've reeled it in and grabbed onto the support for the tram way and easily survived. Maybe he knocked his head or his helmet smacked the support and lost use of his communicator. The empire would've grabbed him before he could find a way to reach out to them

I think Tech is gonna make a cheesy return in that "You thought I was dead but in fact I'm alive and I just saved you guy's. Insert Predictable Disney one-liner here."

could be foreshadowed with his robotic personality, that maybe he becomes a death trooper, or they use his brainpower somehow to help calculate with experiments. kind of like echo but with all the clone experiments instead of battle tactics

Also episode 1 of season 3 opens with a group of stormtroopers/recruits crashoutside the ficility and the reasercher guy says "No one lives outside the perimitor" I think that could be foreshadowing in a sense

Why is nobody talking about the guy that is clearly a clone of either crosshair or a combo of crosshair and tech? He was in the background of one of the new episodes staring straight at crosshair while wearing all black armor.

I wanna like this show but I can’t enjoy it knowing it leads to the sequels. Dave filoni also created this show he isn’t trying to “save Star Wars” he’s connecting all of his stuff to the sequels.

I think Tech was captured alive and experimented on. His body was used for the partially successful transfer that had been alluded to. He is the CX assassin that's been teased, but he's not really coming back. His body is already possessed by the eseence of a Sith lord... When Darth Sidious killed Darth Plagueis, he used the Dark Side to keep his master's essence from becoming one with the Force. Palpatine is planning on cheating death by cloning himself a new body, yes, but first he wants to use his former master's essence to test and perfect the process. So "Tech" will come back as an antagonist, but when asked what to call him, he'll say to call him "Snoke." Yeah, I went there.

From what some places who got to watch the first eight episodes of the show, they all seem to confirm that Tech is actually dead. Nothing to hint at him returning in later episodes.

You are putting waaaaaay more thought into this than disney ever would. You should know from experience that these predictions of yours never pan out.

The only way that I can see Tech surviving is if they did a job on him like Echo, and maybe turn him into a human cyborg for Hemlock’s purposes to predict the moves of the Bad Batch to find Omega, or like you said, make him a host clone for Palpatine. I don’t really think it is the latter as he will be all busted up. If he’s alive, I think that they will use Tech to lure in the Bad Batch and hence Omega to come save him.

Star Wars Theory being proved wrong us as inevitable as my yearly viewing of The Star Wars Holiday Special.

As saddening as his death was on screen, I kind of hope/wish that he remains so. The whole "they survived?!" trope is kind of tired within the Star Wars franchise at this point.

I have a theory that they somehow upload his brain into droids like K-2 in Rogue One. To me, it kind of makes sense since the K-2 droids seem to have a high sense of logic, similar to how Tech thinks and acts

I swear. the parallels of when we last saw him die really compare exactly to what happened to Bucky when we everyone thought he died but later on got experimented on and turned into the winter soldier. I see the exact same thing possibly happening to tech. plus now that crosshair is back in the team I feel like tech will be the opposite force taking crosshairs place in the empire.

My theory is the real Tech we know is dead, but the "new" Tech may have been turned into a Dark Trooper assuming that the Dark Trooper Project is one of the many experiments Hemlock has control over. If you think about it, Hemlock is known to be the head of the Science Division on Wayland/Mount Tantiss. Since he obtained Tech's broken glasses in the season 2 finale, it wouldn't make sense for Hemlock to discard Tech's body knowing that he could put it to use.

The fact that they didnt find a body tells me he survived. I bet he left his head gear behind so if the batch heard they'd know that a body hadnt been found, thus knowing he didnt die.

Sadly, you are partially incorrect. Just finished Season 3. It appears Hemlock used Tech as baseline for the 4 Operatives whom he unleashed upon Omega and Echo coming into his lab

We all know how it works in Star Wars. If we don't see dismembered cold body in bloody chunks somewhere on the ground in full 4k, that person isn't dead.

I really think there might be a connection between Emerie and Tech. They look and act so similarly, there must be a connection there somehow besides the fact they’re both clones.

I’m an avid Tech death denier and one I shall remain. If there’s no body, it’s still on the table until I see solid proof and not just going by what someone says. People fake stuff all the time by saying “yeah they’re dead” because they want to catch viewers off guard.

I doubt they would basically mirror what happened to Echo with the empire. He's dead, oh wait he's not dead he got captured and he's being used for horrible things. He should probably just be dead. He sacrificed himself and shows are getting in the habit of killing and unlocking unkilling characters too much.

I believe Tech is alive, however this is Tech we are talking about. Tech knew his squad is important and that the empire was looking for them and omega. If he knew he was going to die, he wouldn’t allow the Empire to discover his body or allow any of it to be left if he died. I theorize that Captain Rex and some clones were following Saw because they didn’t think it was going to work and stayed close by in case Saw needed a quick evac but instead picked up tech

Tech becomes Snoke? I believe he would be extorted (in order to protect OmEEga) into helping the evil scientist.

He's definitely not dead, but I think the empire trying to use him is silly. I think he simply survived, and will be rescued by Phee and reunited with the Bad Batch. Omega will be captured again, but there will be a reunion with the entire Bad Batch (Crosshair included) and they will come together to save Omega again, this time using Rex's resources to help get her back for good.

Only way I’d accept him being alive is if he returns as a cloned enemy. If that’s the case he cannot be turned and would be interesting to see how the Batch faces the situation of having to cope with the clone not really being him. Put them in a situation where they HAVE to kill him or even better, have one of them get killed by him. Regardless, KEEP YOUR CHARACTERS DEAD FFS

techs goggles were on the ship in bad batch 3, which means they went to where he died to retrive his goggles. this means they either saw he wasn't there (then they will know hes not dead, and won't refer to him as dead) or they saw his corpse
