If you are looking for unmatched craftsmanship, this piston-engine powerhouse is designed and built to be certified in the rugged utility category. With first-class technology, comfort, and world-class quality, this plane is ready for any adventure you might want to embark on. Power comes from a 300hp Continental IO-550 engine, with 3 bladed propellers in front. This variant was introduced in 2006 and is the latest variant since 1947. The price starts at $777,000. Speaking of performance, the maximum climb rate is 1,230 ft/min, with a cruise speed of 196 knots and a 900 nautical mile range. The bonanza can carry six occupants and 70 lbs of baggage. Just like many other light planes, the Bonanza G36 is equipped with the GARMIN G1000 Nxi, which is one of the best out there.

75 years later and the Bonanza is still an amazing design. Beechcraft got it Right the First Time.

The early Bonanzas were not subject to the AD. Only a one-time skin thickness test. Mine has been flying 75 trouble-free years. An amazing design and hard to fly without a smile on your face.

My flight instructor was a friend of the family and let me sit left seat in his A36 Bonanza one day. Takeoffs and landings from three different airports. After doing all my time in C172 & C182, best 1.5 hours of flying time I've ever had. I still love that I have that line in my pilot logbook.

I enjoy flying my 1989 B36TC now for 2 years. Great for the 3 hour trip from DFW to AXX and handles the mountain altitude just fine on takeoff. I appreciate the gear over the 210 and my wife likes the convenience of getting in through the cargo doors. Great upgrade from my Tiger.

The C195 on some had the cross wind landing gear and I’ve flown the V-35 and loved it and now the ruddervators on alert for spots of corrosion and this is a problem but unfortunately there are companies that can take care of this and the cost is very expensive

The Cessna 195 looks like it is right out of 1936. But the Bonanza coming out right after the end the war must have seemed like it was a plane delivered by aliens from outer space. It was far more modern than any non-fighter created during the war. As a reference of how much of a leap this was for Beechcraft. Keep in mind that their single engine plane before the Bonanza was the Staggerwing.

I’m surprised it doesn’t come standard with landing lights in the wingtips. Or have the option for a composite prop.

The early V tail 35’s Bonanzas had a 35 pound slug of lead I it’s nose to help out its “Balance issues.” It seems a better alternative should have been a small fundamental design change. I love how it flies and earned my Commercial License in a K-35. As a purist you have to wonder how it could have been improved, sans 35 pound dead weight in the nose.

@@n3307v correct...the ballast in the nose was to help compensate for aft CG issues in later models when the baggage area was extended.

As a licensed aircraft mechanic, I've worked on many general aviation aircraft. Different brands all have their pros and cons. To me, Beech parts were always way overpriced. Having that non-removable lower engine cowling was a pain in the a$$ too. Of course, all retractable gear planes have their maintenance issues.

Could have bought any six place aircraft I wanted and the Cessna 210 Centurion is better. Center of gravity limits Bonanzas, dislike climbing on wing to enter, etc, etc, Could make a whole list of ways Centurion beats Bonanza performance. Bonanzas do have much nicer interior, Cessna could do so much better …

I had a 1978 A36. Best airplane I had. But there is no such thing as a best family small airplane. Instead take your family on a scheduled airline. It is much safer and more likely to not kill your family.

Beech planes were always more expensive. They have been basically the ‘Mercedes-Benz’ of of aircraft. Also what is making them so expensive and Cessna’s too is that they are owned by the same company, Textron. It very much is a monopoly at work here.

Does everybody who just wants to believe, have their heads in the sand. See a dreamy picture and it’s all heaven. Better go to Katherynreport get your head out of your butt and look at how many Continental engine failures have occurred in this plane and the Cirrus just lately, with the same garbage power plant. Recently N67CH, N1HH, N5093C, N654HR, only to name a few. There’s more but those are just dumb pilots flying Bonanza’s that shouldn’t be pilots.

@erichboese7209
@erichboese7209 2 жыл бұрын
A "dog" by what standards? Compared to an F16...sure. Compared to other aircraft in the same category/class...classifying it as a "dog" is more than a little disingenuous. Does it meet any/all mission profiles....NO. No such airplane exists.
