I think the fact that you have to go on for all the different currencies made everything SO repetitive. Almost all the games was "find 10 tix around the map" and "complete this quest for RoCoins". It was a good idea, but executed poorly.

The fact that dusty trip was broken doesn't even suprise me. The game is filled with tons of bugs

My biggest problem with this event is the lack of time we were given to get everything. I'm actually fine with the difficulty spike, but we only had a WEEK to get everything? We should have had another week at least to 100% everything. I WANTED to 100% the event, but I was unable to and only got to 60% because, believe it or not, me and a ton of other people have a life outside of Roblox, and are unable to sit at a computer for hours upon hours every day, especially when you have stuff like the bedwars quest, which I played for hours, but was never able to get past wave FOUR (seriously why was it so hard, did they have super sweaty playtesters or something).

The event hub was the best game in the event

I remember playing Toilet Tower Defence with Gunslinger Henry back in 1666, it really didst help us fight the fire of London.

The ending was disappointing, but it was pretty cool to team up with a bunch of random people in trying to gather the numbers to unlock the door and yell the number and color across the map and converge to the guy at the pad to unlock the door. Together. It was... nice.

They’ve done a tower Defence game for a lot of events recently, so if they wanted a tower Defence, why not doomspire Defence, ITS BASED ON OLD ROBLOX?!?!?

Hello, tds player here! The reason as to why they didn't make a 1x1x1x1 boss was due to the amount of updates they were already working on. They didn't have enough time to work on a completely new boss.

Ima be honest and say prob the most controversial statement out there,but I found the ending funny BECAUSE it was so anti-climactic. Roblox was like “you have been grinding for hours. Here is a 5 second boss battle with a short credit sequence.”

The BSS event quest is also a referance to a really(?) old roblox game called like "Defend the slimes" or smthn idk the BABFT group made a re-creation though and that is pretty cool

I was surprised by your ratings on Blade Ball. By what I was reading, it felt like the creator wanted to squeeze as much money as they could and some ppl were saying it took them three hours to complete. I was expecting to be lower. I myself didn't play it cuz I was already expecting it would be boring and annoying and cash grabby, so I can't give my opinion on it. Honestly, this event was better than The Hunt. I loved the hub and I really liked Arsenal, a dusty trip (ignoring the bugs) and a little bit of Bee Swarm Simulator, but there were many games that felt like they didn't even try at all, were boring and/or wanted to get money out of you.

Here are some reason why the games selection is what it was: 1: Many of these older games haven't been updated in months, or in some cases years. They couldn't add games that have been abandoned. 2: *The event wasn't made to showcase older Roblox games*. It was to, as they quoted "A classic spin on the modern Roblox" That's why games such ad blade ball and TTD were used.

I’m half convinced that Roblox made quests in the hub because they knew some of the devs would half ass them. Roblox COOKED on the hub some of the devs cooked on theirs imo, I liked dusty, Arsenal, TDS (probably because I played or used to play those games). However I agree with your ratings coming from a new persons standpoint.

Man, I feel bad for you. You really fully completed The Classic, and I would never wish that on my worst enemy. Anyways, congratulations! You did something none of us could have ever done without losing half of our braincells and lifespan. Alright, just to express my feelings, here are my thoughts on The Classic: The Classic gets very repetitive. All of the tix is just like, "hey guys find tix around our trashy map!" and all of the tokens are just, "complete this quest to get a token!" so you have to repeat that quest five times with little to no variation. Honestly, I think we all can agree that the best part about The Classic was the hub. It was the most "classic" part of the event, and the most unique part as well. At the very least, there are much less games and much MUCH less you have to complete to obtain all of the items. It's great to have wiggle room to not have to do the stupid tasks. *cough cough* Blade Ball, Driving Empire, BedWars, you get the point. Btw did anyone even care about the Twin Atlas pin? lol My final thoughts are that it's definitely a step up from The Hunt, but Roblox still has a long way to go. TLDR: If you decided to travel back in time to Classic Roblox and ha somebody play the classic, they would immediately have an existential crisis and suffer severe depression. Wouldn't be as bad as what The Hunt would do to them though.

(Can't believe I have to clarify this AGAIN but No, I'm not good at obbies, Please read the ENTIRE comment before you comment "Skill Issue." I've already admitted it myself) As a person who played Dress to Impress blindly, I spent 20 MINUTES looking for 1 TICKET (The one in the pillar) AND THAT WAS WITH A FRIEND. Eventually we found all of the tix and I swear, The obby that you have to do to get the tokens is so unbelievably hard, IT TOOK ME HALF AN HOUR TO REACH THE SECOND TOKEN. (To be fair I'm not that good at obbies but MY GOD) I later quit the game because I was tired of it and after playing Clip It, I quit the event in general. Overall? Possibly the worst event I've ever played. (I didn't participate in the hunt due to seeing the amount of games you need to complete for the accessories.)

I'm sorry but a lot of the criticism is just about not being good at a certain game so automatically it sucks. I mean i get it, but giving dusty trip a 2 is just an insane take. It had a lot of care in it, you just didn't get the purpose of the game in general. Also dress to impress had an insane task to do, with the game's theme being so off topic, and they pulled it off. I don't know, I just think this video has a ton of insane takes that to me make 0 sense, mainly when to a lot of the games you gave extremely low score your justification was "yeah it's hard.". But, what i can agree with is: The time consuming shit that they pulled in some games is 100% something that CAN'T keep happening.

Bee swarm simulator was a massive skill issue. You can do it solo if you are late midgame, and it is possible if you have 3 NEW accounts that have a basic understanding of how to play. The swords are massive, so you shouldn't be taking damage from enemies if you keep space. You can also hit multiple enemies with a single swing from your sword, which clears them much faster.

Hey I am a TDS player and wanted to give some insight onto more of the mechanical stuff behind the event. I will admit even though I play the game a lot (lv 121 on main) the event is hard. However, I don't really blame them for this since from my experience they tend to make hard events in general since that is what their playerbase tends to enjoy from my experience in the game. However, I will credit them with looking out for new players by making the loadouts be given to you. If this event made people use towers they have bought using coins it would require a lot of grinding. Although, they did try to give loadouts that are well balanced and hold very good towers for hard gamemodes (accelerator my beloved). Though, me and my friend (who doesn't play TDS) do have the same opinion that they should have made it easier to newer players. But overall very nice video.

I like starism due to the implications of lore in a commentary channel, its new and refreshing. Seasons are just an amazing way to say "hey, this is fun commentary, but theres lore of ypu want" Speaking about lore, I have a theory about strasm that ive seen no one talk about, you see, when kobo tried to kill strasm, he survived it, he was even shocked when he did, then strasm said to "never underestimate him" heres the theory: Since Starism hinted at strasm being powerful by surviving Kobo's attack, he is a literal omnipresent and ppwerful god Maybye, in season 3, somehow, something or someone is going to break strasm. He is only docile with his stimuli, lets say in season 3 his arcade machines break and starism doesn't fix it. Strasm then becomes this otherworldly and mighty powerful god, I guess with some incredible capabilities like actually destroying the void (i mean like when he got mad the screen cut to black) or I guess creating voids. Something might happen like the "he is a vessel for the otherworldly being" scenario in which some movie type stuff will happen. This might also mean strasm is the possible cause of both Star and -rats- bobby are in a void. Once that happens who knows what strasm can do and that will probably lead to a major character arc like this one with -msirats- bobby. Prob leading to strasm getting like an ipad or something. tl.dr: Since starism hinted at strasm being powerful by surviving Kobo's attack, strasm might be an otherworldy being capable of numerous things and requires stimuli to not break and delete half of the universe in a fit of rage. (And also might be the cause of star and bobby's voids) (he creates them and destroys them (maybye))

I literally entered this video expecting to come out with more ideas of how the classic felt to other people and left wondering about the lore of your characters- Man, am I intrigued!! Honestly thats probably why youre one of my favorite commentary youtubers lol, its so cool seeing all the skits and stuff you do for tour videos, alongside the lore and stuff :D Setting that aside, this was a really good video! I agree with most of the opinions despite the fact that I pretty much gave up on 100% the event after I got all the items but I still got to see how so many people struggled, what I can say however is that this is definitely better than The Hunt. Hoping that Roblox learns from their mistakes and hopefully we get better stuff one day!

I joined Roblox in 2017 or something. I never got to experience true old roblox. When this event was announced, I was super excited because I thought I would actually get to see what classic roblox was like. The Hub was amazing. I love how it had the old cursor and green circle and the Tix all over the map. I really felt as if I was playing classic roblox, I changed to my Classic Avatar and it was amazing but I was really disappointed by the event itself. It just seemed like The Hunt, but with fewer games. The only stuff I actually had fun doing was Arsenals quest and messing around in the hub. I'm really sad, there was so much potential.😮😮

I cannot agree with blade ball and bedwars, on blade ball its extremely time consuming if you are playing casually and you need to win a lot of times and most players have p2w abilities, 1/10 Bedwars, im a tester for bedwars, and i find your score quite... funny actually, as for bedwars they made ember and axolotl amy kits free of the week since they are very good in the penguin survival gamemode, it isnt p2w and you can do it with 2+ people depending on skill, you just need a quick strategy for it. However there was a huge difficlt spike on the map, that one being the ice map, but overall it was good, and it wasnt that hard for me (i used a bad kit) also very important, kits are one of the most important aspects for bedwars, and you used builder (wich doesnt work, and kitless. The difficulty was also nerfed shortly after release. Same with bee swarm simulator, i beat it duo with a new player because i only needed someone to put walls as i was mobile (yes i beat both bedwars and bss on mobile)

The meaning of "the classic" event is to take Modern games, and imagine them in "Classic" Type of style, Basically giving us a perspective of how these said games would look, if they were made in 2008, With some games being good at doing that (Dusty trip, arsenal, tds (maps, may be bias), Gunfight arena (special weapons and a map)), and some being bad at that (Adopt me, Bedwars, other games). *It's just that most people cant understand that.*

for me, the bss challenge was incredibly easy. It could’ve been due to my high attack, 50 lvl 16+ and star saw idk i dont think that had much of an effect

As someone who often plays dragon adventures. I think the event was built more for players who play more often (thus they have more incubators and know where egg spawn locations can be. Not very beginner friendly (beginner also includes ppl who don't play often and only do so during events)

Ok, i am about to make a comment without a single hint of irony here, i love The Classic. And if my legacy is to go down as the one idiot that liked it, i'm okay with that. Let me explain. If you compare the ratio of good games to bad games in the event (IGNORING the whole "They aren't classic" point because it's painfully obvious that the point of the event was to give new games the old roblox spin), the batting average for the games was just about in favour of good games than bad games. And you may be looking at that and thinking "well the fact that the bad games are there at all is the reason the event sucks!" Well if that's the case, then just... don't play them. You don't HAVE to play those games to get the prizes, unlike The Hunt where you were only able to skip out on 5 out of 100 total games. Say what you want about the chosen games, but roblox made an attempt to focus on quality over quantity, and with the margin they needed, they succeeded. You CANNOT look at me with a straight face and tell me that nobody cared with this event, because that's just a lie. Again, let me get to the point i put in brackets earlier. Yes, the games aren't actually classics. But here's my counter point to that. Actually play the fucking games. The amount of effort that the good games put in to convey the general theme of "Old Roblox" really went above and beyond 95% of the games featured in The Hunt. Shunning ALL of them because they weren't 100% in line with the theme? That's just childish. One last note i would like to make is that i'm writing this before the video comes out. So if i say anything that directly contradicts what Starism said, then it's intention due to the timeframe that i'm making this comment. The one thing that i don't agree is the way that Starism titled the videos. The Hunt was an experiment, and the title for Starism's hunt video reflected that, but acting like The Classic is shit before you even click on the video is just... fuck off. Giving Gunfight Arena (which had you play against literal bots) of all games an 8 is just so disrespectful to a dusty trip, which went ALL OUT on their game, and yet you gave them a 2 (the same score as Bedwars, which makes just no sense), as well as Bee Swarm, which you gave a 5 (same score as Blade Ball????????). You have to understand that not every game needs to be doable in literally 10-30 minutes, but ALSO shouldn't take you like 7-10 hours (I'm looking at you, Bedwars). All around, not a bad review, but Dusty Trip did NOT deserve a 2.

And I did like more usage of characters, other than them just being a small part of the video. And the emotional lore too. I didn't expect Msirats to change into a different character. And Msirats was probably just a small character to get into the topic of rip-off games. Nothing about the event was classic! Not even the obby! It's a 3 out of 10 for that horrible placement, and the fact that there's nothing themed! Gunfight Arena was actually pretty good! The bot team was easy to spawn kill and I loved torturing them! (This was my first game to complete!) DRIVING EMPIRE INFURIATES ME. I HAD NEVER PLAYED THE GAME BEFORE AND I HAD NO SPARE ROBUX. THE FACT HOW ITS VERY PAY TO WIN AND BEGINNER UNFRIENDLY JUST MAKES THIS A 2 OUT OF 10. A Dusty Trip was actually a nice introduction to the game for me! It made a good starting point.. if the game wasn't so buggy. You literally cant place the radiator down on mobile. I rate it an 8 out of 10! Bedwars is somehow one I breezed through! It took me like 20 minutes. One of my losing points was Wave 4. I skipped it but they did a patch for Aery (which gives an actual use other than a -10 debuff) which allowed me to kill the King easily because he was stuck and I had like 80 diamond sword dmg. Apparently your team will win if theres a language barrier??? Idk I won with a Japenese team and you'll probably win like atleast once with 5 japenese teams because they're good apparently, but with that aside I think the Bedwars event is a 5 out of 10. A little lower because people suffered a lot trying to complete this. With that aside, im hyped as HELL for season 3 mods, give him verified badge

I thought the TDS event was pretty ok, for such a rushed event anyway. Can't really hold it back all too much though, the TDS devs were already hard at work on their own game and didn't have time to make x1 into a proper boss. They probably spent most of their time coding the enemy spawns if you ask me.

The bee swarm event should have gotten a better ranking, and here's why: It's a reference to Revenge Of The Slimes You can obtain marshmallow bees from it The music somehow is amazing but terrible at the same time The difficulty isn't supposed to be easy, it's to drive away players who don't care to make the littlest bit of progression It has the coconut belt now The swords are kind of mid but every other weapon is done amazingly Requires a bit of planning Encourages teamwork (my least valid opinion)

İ dont get why people crying on "why no og gams >:(((" the idea of event was never adding old games to event,the idea of event was making a old roblox themed event which makes more sense and gives developers a chance to get new players! Except for some quest being absurdly tedious and zero effort put in like livetopia,dress to impress,that driving game... I remember playing Dress to Impress. It was a buggy mess on mobile. You would get the tix for like 1 round than they would all vanish. Sometimes you can only play a round and the portal completely vanished as well, causing you to rejoin multiple times in order to even do the event.

About restaurant tycoon 2 quest, the owner showed an quicker way of doing the quest and that's by making all tables vip only which doesn't allow normal customers

I don’t think that the difficulty of the games should bring down the score of them, unless it’s borderline impossible. Bee swarm, for example, encourages the player to get their friends involved with how hard it is. Just because a game is too hard doesn’t mean it should be rated less. Practice makes perfect after all.

As an experienced tds player (I'm level 200) the event was a literal peace of cake.

FUN FACT!!! In Dress To Impress' obby, sometimes your camera gets locked at the start, making it impossible to play, and because I'm lucky I got my camera locked every time I joined the obby

Bedwars quest of this event broke me more then RBB season 3 finale before nerfs. I got all badges from all games except for Bedwars, that quest was unironically worse then any quest in Hunt

Speaking about Blade Ball, funny enough that when the event just started and i was playing it, by the time i got to the Blade Ball event it was BUGGED. I literaly couldnt finish it because i already collected one tix on it already and it didnt gave me a badge. On the next day i tried again when it wasnt bugged and actually collected all of the tix, but the one that i collected a day before DIDNT respawn and i just couldnt complete the quest even when i tried to trigger the place where the bugged tix was over and over again, the Blade Ball quest just appeared UNFINISHABLE for me, this fact REALLY hit me in the legs when i tried to 100% comeplete the event. This is just depressing.

I'm surprised you didn't mention the limited items that were on the hub. The worst offender was the Daemonshank, a sword selling for 40000 bux.

You should review block tales. It’s an amazing game, and it does the classic theme really well. (Shame it wasn’t given a portal in the classic event.)
