Vader embraced the darkside as well he wasn't happy but he did come to accept that it was always his destiny, literally, like sidious said himself padme left him a great gift pain will Vader use it or will he die, Vader chose to live and use that gift to become the extremely powerful sith juggernaut we know him as today

To my knowledge using the dark side wasnt forbidden to the ancient jedi. The ancient jedi used both in balance, but what the problem was is that the dark jedi began only using the dark side and abandoned the light side altogether.

Anakin was denied the rank because Palpatine wanted him there . Which is exactly what he wanted to further frustrate Skywalker and thrust him closer to joining the Dark Side .

Why would revan be disappointed about sidious and Vader when both of them are seriously way more powerful and actually achieved so much more and put the sith where they belong ruling the galaxy, so what you said makes no sense your comparing a 4000 year old Jedi/sith to modern sith who actually are way better and stronger in every way

This entire take is rather ignorant. The Light Side is the normal state of the Force, and the Dark Side is a perversion that removes a person from that balance. It can never be stated that a Dark Jedi is closest to being balanced because their ideology revolves around being as far from balanced as possible and corrupting the balance in their environment. That's why they were obsessed with altering life forms.

@henry-bl3wr I agree. The jedi strict dogma and unwillingness to understand the dark side is why many of jedi fell in the first place and became the sith. The jedi have had countless opportunities to destroy the sith or prevent destruction and have failed to do so.

Here's one: Tulak was successful because of Khem Val ( a Dashade). They devoured / destroyed half the galaxy.

Well for one thing Sith alchemy allows for the extension of life by a pretty ludicrous amount. Besides rhat, there seem a ro be an imication in apt of the Legends stuff that force users can often live longer than regular beings. It's not always the case but particularly in ANCIENT times, this is FAR from the only example of regular beings living well past what is supposedly their natural lifespan. Even light side users who really commit to the force see natural extensions of their life (though rarely ever to the degree of artificial or alchemical means often employed by the Sith). There seems to be a theme in Legends that the earlier force users were more in-tune with the force than a lot of later generations who insisted on placing more and more rules and restrictions and limitations on its use through all kinds of dogma on both sides and this only really served to limit the user's abilities and prevent them from really tapping into the force as they otherwise could. This is one of the reasons why Darth Traya tells her apprentices that compared to the Ancient Sith, they are like children playing with toys - whereas the ancients had long discovered and ma s hated all kinds of crazy shit that most modern Sith couldn't even dream of. I imagine that with Ajunta and his followers, I imagine it is some kind of combination of the 2.

First Sith Emperor refers to the fact that the fleeing dark Jedi landed on a planet inhabited by the species called Sith ( the red skinned folks with tendrils hanging off their faces) and over years via inter breeding or pure destruction absorbed them into the faction known as the sith via supplantong their gods and seizing political control of their planets. Thus the term Sith being interchangeable by the time they began their Galactic conquests. I was a little built scattered in my telling, I hope it helps
