Hex Girls are actual well written female characters that are well received, popular, and loved with in the Fan base, not to mention viewed as positive Female roll models for girl of all ages. So of course Mindy Kaling is gonna try and ruin them. It would not surprise me if Kaling was a hateful spiteful person like the characterization of Velma and she can't stand the thought of other more popular characters.
