I'll disagree with warlord being almost as dumb as hito, I've had to do a lot more thinking as I learned him than I ever had to do as medjay or kyoshin. Conqueror, while not very strong, is one I'd say is almost as mind-numbingly simple to play as Hito. Followed closely by Ocelotl. Edit: I forgot varangian existed. She might actually be more mindless than hito.

Staring at hito is the biggest mistake because she can regain stamina and keep throwing heavies. You want to let them tire themselves out and keep them low on stamina as much as possible

@@havonetae definitely, keeping them low on stamina is great. They get to throw quite a lot of heavies though before they get there though.

100% it also has to do with console as well, i have a ps4 and ps5 and the difference in fighting in between consoles is crazy in ps4 when they do the delay heavys its almost impossible to parry it on ps5 its easier but in general hito is just heby

If you are a new player fighting ANY character in this game, there's a massive chance you're going to lose. Afeera is super strong but its because shes really good in neutral, she's the polar opposite of Hito. The issue is that if you're bad at the game and your neutral sucks, that downside of hito doesn't matter anymore.

@@SoI_Badguy This is facts, if your neutral game sucks you have no hope against a hito. Thats one of the few ways to stop them.

You can’t strafe the lvl 1 or 2 but can strafe parry the lvl 3. You can’t dodge bash the lvl 1 either but I think you might be able to dodge bash lvl 2 depending how much they hold. It has to do with the hito maintaining frame advantage during her chain. Learning frame advantage and disadvantage is actually vital in higher level fights.

Same can be said for many other characters. They hate hito because their read game sucks, but people seemingly forget hito isn’t even high S tier anymore like Afeera or Shinobi. Hell, even warden has the same pressure hito does on chain. Warden also has neutral game, unlike hito. Like you can genuinely argue Warden>Hito rn.

Shugoki has better neutral pressure, more variety in his kit, arguably better hyper armor, actually has neutral bash, and is far less punishable than hito is. I’d say the balance makes sense. Fighting a shugoki is literally fighting a hito but better and with more options.

Because you could spam light and hit her out of it, that’s why they shortened the chain timing and shortened time for HA. So now you actually have to make a read like you do with other chars like Warden, shugoki, Afeera, ocelotl and Shinobi on chain

In my opinion, there are characters that are simply worse to fight against than Hito could ever hope to be. I still have issues with them, sure, but a lot of my problems are due to the fact that I play on old gen and use characters that are generally worse than others

Tbh its a skill issue hito is pretty easy to fight

You need to make a read on every move they do during chain, because an unreactable chain bash is always an option for them. The variable heavies don't bother me. I can react to them being released in most cases. And the kicks don't bother me either since they are only 22 damage heavies that guarantee a free GB on miss. Not to mention she can only do them in chain and not open with them. But to people who can't react to the heavy coming, I can understand the issue.

Dude look at all the kits of today, shinobi, afeera, ocelotl, shugoki, Warden and Varangian Guard are all better than hito off the top of my head. For honor is moving into a meta of unreactables and 50/50’s. Every character nowadays has an unreactable or 50/50 aspect on their kits now. Hito is no different.

There’s lots of no skill oppression. VG, Goki, Ocelotl to name a few. It’s really easy to have good offense these days.
