When you think about powerful heroes or villains, you probably don’t necessarily think Joker. Sure, he is definitely a force to be reckoned with, wreaking a lot of havoc all across Gotham for decades, but as we saw in the Injustice series, he is rather, how you say...mortal.
But, we you may not have considered, is all of the aspects of his character that makes him so powerful. Sure, he may not be able to survive something like, oh I don’t know, a batarang to the face or Superman’s fist through his chest but there is certainly a reason why he is the subject of so much of Batman’s attention.
So let’s take a look at his origins, what he can do, and what kind of sweet gadgets and gizmos he regularly utilizes. You know the spiel. Let’s dive right into it!

Yeah, about how my weekly talks with my psychologist since being released from the psychiatric ward goes, except she is a good listener and asks other questions. If not for her I likely wouldn't be around anymore. I'm better now but I still don't really smile. Journal occasionally usually says "Liable to cry." "Momentary occasional true smile" (because I adore talking to her). Paid staff cared more than my own damn family who didn't visit or even phoned me during those 3 months. With new meds I'm finally on what might be an upward spiral for once. Divorce and parental alienation is a biatch 🤬

The Joker is just an awesome villain. Plain and simple. Heath Ledger is the most intimidating, but Jaoquin Phoenix is the most sympathetic. As for Jared Leto, nope.

As not just an Agent of Chaos but an embodiment of the irrational nature of what is considered rational, Joker has always been extremely powerful. No one should be surprised at how well this movie is doing. At the end of the day, all of us are far more the Joker than we are Batman. 🗣💯

I like the regular crazy guy who can take a beating and has a gang is the best version. His biggest advantage is that he isn’t motivated by what conventionally motivates people and it makes it more realistic/terrifying.

I feel some Joker origin mystery is needed, it works. I think him being able to tolerate pain would be more interesting if it's due to some kind of insanity, or something he went through, or self torture. I didn't know the extent of the "superpowers". Very cool video.

I think all the origin stories of the Joker are true, we just haven't put them all together. It's impossible to become The Clown Prince of Crime over night, just because you fall into a vat of chemicals.

@hoibsh thats because the comics are suppose to be ridiculous. DC comics is built on obtusely unrelatable characters that try to pretend to be normal. Ever since batman begins, DC movies have largely been trying to ground their worlds in reality.

Shoopidy Doop when the MSM and Twitter blue check mark were saying that this movie : “glorifies “incel violence” and “paints mass murder as the logical conclusion” of a “neurodivergent white man being failed by the system.” In other words - words regularly used by people who haven’t wasted money on a gender studies degree - “Joker” allows “incels,” or the movement of mostly young white men who consider themselves “involuntarily celibate,” to relate to a mainstream character, and explains - and even, they say, justifies - a descent into violence. SJWs argued that audiences were going to be encouraged to sympathize with Joaquin Phoenix’s Arthur Fleck, who leads a lonely life and suffers regular bullying - an existence which eventually drives him to become a psychotic killer clown - and that sympathy might carry over to real-world incels. Others claimed that widespread love for the Joker might actually inspire real life “incels” to commit real-world violence... and nothing happened.... and All estimates point towards the film accruing over $1 billion by the end of its run-not bad for a film with a $55 million budget... and most important not 1 incident of violence 😱.

I believe the Dark Knight Joker was a mathematician, specialized (or what you would call it) in the field of Game Theory. I think all the things he does are Game Theory scenarios. There have to be some exceptions, but I'm sure it's close enough to make the point. Edit: I should specify that I mean the Joker played by Heath Ledger.

The Joker might be able to get killed, but he is the type of villain that can be the most copied with his type of mentality. Causing anybody who suffers from the same disorders to become the Joker. Same with the Riddler and probably some others. But the Joker gets the most attention as a villain compared to the others in the DC Universe. Which is also why the backstories are never the same.

I can't stand Heath Ledgers performance. I thought it was bad when I saw the Dark Knight, and my opinion haven't changed over the years. The actor just comes off as a nice guy who tries to force himself to appear as evil and insane in the role. It's also ironically too serious, despite his iconic phrase "why so serious". Doesn't work for me at all. J. Phoenix, however, was phenomenal in his albeit different take on the character, and Jack Nicholson got the crazy part right (because I think he really is a bit crazy)

joker is a joke he is the joke of the villains, He only makes so many appearances due to Batman being unwilling to kill, if the Punisher would be involved Joker would die before the end of first quarter of the movie. This is the Achilles's heel of superheroes their unwillingness to kill the villains or bad guys. Much respect to the Heroes who carry this burden: Punisher, Deadpool, even Thor in the last Avengers End Game, and others. More power to you guys !
