I spoke with our Omega Boutique in Indianapolis. They said they expect these to be available for purchase around June. They anticipate an immediate rush to buy but as you guys said, these are not limited watches.

I think 3 to 4 years for normal people is a stretch, I believe normal people will be able to get them in 6 months to a year.

I have never commented until now on this channel but the videos were better with Michael who is more knowledgeable about watches than Sam. Sam thinks $55k for a gold Speedmaster is an “appropriate” price. People watching these videos are for the most part more knowledgeable about watches than Sam so it just doesn’t work for this channel.

I saw it yesterday and put it on at an AD. I really liked it. It’s lovely and I really liked the bracelet which I hadn’t tried on before. AD told me that he had 60 people on the list and that they would first of course go to their preferred clients. He then asked If I liked Gold watches. I hope they make them in bulk because I think I would pull the trigger on it when available.

I don't why it's 'breaking the internet' - it's a speedy with a white dial. Omega brought out a dial change not world peace. Nice, yes, but not unexpected.

Seriously though… ignoring all the hype.. that thing is gorgeous. Not just for the amazing lacquer dial but all the other little details like the applied indices. ❤

Beautiful Omega Seamaster! I own a similar one, a "bumper" from the late 1950's, It harkens back to the golden age of mechanical watches, and is a pleasure to wear. So elegant, simple, lightweight, and good looking. Congrats!!

This is Omega,not Rolex and these are not limited. They should be readily available soon and selling under retail on the grey market within 8-12 months. Even right now just after release there are Chrono24 postings for around $10K…paying over retail for this watch is not smart. I’d instead aim to pay under retail or at least get a better deal through a duty free.

I think Omega will do the same as they have with the Green Seamaster …..which is now readily available from AD and at a discount pre-owned. The Summer blue’s still aren’t readily available in store but are hitting the pre-owned market at a discount too

OK, this comment is not because I’m being critical. It’s because I actually care. I really leave comments but for some reason I’ve left a few comments on your channel. We come to these conversations for insight when it’s all done and said. And I would challenge you all to look through the last few episodes the two of you did together and do a little hash marks. Each time a different person brings a useful piece of insight. One of you is clueless. Asking them questions is just, well it’s not furthering your brand. It’s somewhat tedious. Two friends, great. Nice people great. Maybe there’s chemistry. Maybe there’s not great. But insightful comments. So here’s the constructive criticism: you prepare you you come to these things prepared with something thoughtful to say. You know the night before or the week before what you’re going to talk about. Come up with some original thought that makes a viewer feel like it was worth our time. Then you will take this to the next level. Then you will grow your viewer base. So sorry, did not mean this to be negative. I’m just trying to be like a good friend who tells you what you need to know. Furthermore, I think both of you already realize what I’m saying. Just got mine and didn’t see any reason why this could be less than Daytona Actually the design and anti mag are much better than Daytona After just getting it yesterday, I put my intention buying a Daytona into a trash can as this one is much better Also the chrono is ready for your daily use anytime not like Daytona needing to unscrew two buttons … Love this one !!!!!!!

The previous white dial Speedmaster in Canopus gold is much better looking. It has a softness and warmth that’s the complete opposite of this new cold white dial version.

Availability for this watch will be exact same as the green SMP 300. It will be hard to get for the first year then stock will increase. Local omega boutique said they’re getting in ~4 per month for the first year then production will ramp up to meet the demand.

unlike the canopus speedy, which i've personally owned, this new steel speedy has a white dial. the canopus dial is silver, which i detested. it also seems to have blackened/painted hands; the canopus speedy's hands are silver. the result is that this new speedy is legible and the canopus speedy is VERY MUCH not. was bad enough that I returned it after a week.

Beautiful Omega - the vintage one, on your wrist. The very similar Seamaster 1948 is also my favourite model from Omega's current line up.

From the leaked photo of Daniel Craig wearing the white dial... I HAD to have it, but now seeing more photos and videos of people's incoming, I'm not as swayed. I'm not sure if it was the lighting on the leaked photos that made the white really stand out, but when I see most peoples images now, the white looks a little "dirty" if that makes sense. I was about to see it today in person at my local Omega Boutique. I literally hopped in the car, and then my GPS told me it was gong to take 42 minutes to drive there (when it's normally less). I immediately got out of the car, and resumed my Friday tasks. I just didn't have that kind of time today for a round trip. So I'll check it out another day to confirm... But, it's my belief that once the white dial hype dies down, people will realize the black dial is the better choice. Maybe.

Those that couldn’t get the snoopy will be able to get this one below retail in a couple of years (or get it new in a few months from a boutique at list). Should look great with a suit. Very legible. It’s very nice but I bought the SMP 300 Great White for the similar look (dial color) at less than half the price and wanted the automatic movement anyway. New Speedy won’t hold its value as a regular release.

I quite like this new white dial variant of the Speedmaster. It shows a departure from the Moonwatch aesthetics, which may irritate Moonwatch purists and enthusiasts. But I personally think it sets a new and positive direction for Omega, where they know they need a fresh take on the whole first watch on the moon theme. The new release is also nicely timed prior to the Summer Olympics this year, of which Omega is the official timekeeper.

The design will be a success temporarily because white dials have been hyped like crazy the past few years because of the Explorer Il. I'm a purist and love the original hesalite moonwatch, which is the historical model. I think this will make the black dial sapphire sandwich an orphan since this is basically at the same price. Omega has done white dials for years on most of their product lines, including the Speedy. The hype will die down the next time a Rolex watch gets hyped. Just like when the John Mayer Daytona became hyped, then Omega was late to the game producing a yellow gold and green dial Speedy. Now they're late to the game again producing a white dial Speedy (non-limited edition), which will be all the rage for a little while then will die down in a year or so.

Dude, I went to my local Omega Boutique and was told they expect to start delivering watches this month. Not next month, and damn sure not in 3-4 years. **This month**. There are two waitlists for the watch with the bracelet; with a deposit and without. I was added to the list without the deposit because the depost list was full. For anyone listening to Christian spew this absolute horse shit, as he does in basically every video these days, go to your local botique and ask. These watches are going to be in the regular catalog, and people should start getting theirs starting this month and into next month. You can go and see this watch in person, today. Its in the store and my sales associate even brought out the black sapphire watch to compare it with. Christian, this is getting embarrasing. If you even thought about this for more than 5 seconds, you'd realize it would be very fucking stupid of you to spread misinformation about a watch that is not a special or limited edition. All you have to do is go into an Omega store and they are very transparent about the timeline for getting these watches. Seriously man, you should do better. I get that you benefit financially from making the watch market, and particularly this watch, seem like something that's unobtainable but that is literally not the case. Although I have black dial watches, it’s because they are only in black - Batgirl, Sub. Otherwise I avoid black dials like the plague. Unless you wear black clothes (I don’t), I don’t get the “versatile” argument. White dials (or silver) are so much more versatile. 100% versatile in fact. Maybe people are just realizing? Another possible reason is that the black dial Speedy is blah? Like the Sub. Just too many.

I have been very harsh in my reactions to the new guy. Feeling a bit guilty here - he seems like a nice person. My negative reaction is that I think the followers of this channel should understand WHY you are insisting on him when, clearly, he is not ready and there is no chemistry or balance between the two on screen. First of all, I am what you would call a big omega fan. This bei g said, I tried it yesterday... For me this is a pass...and a big one. The dial is really not that great, honestly the moment I saw it in real. I thought : that looks cheap... On the picture that looks great...but in real life, what a disappointment ! First the red color : much lighter than on the pictures, this red in my opinion does not bring enough contrast on the white dial nor the refreshing splash I was hoping for. Second the overall dial definition...it look far from being sharp, like if colors diffused a bit, leading to an overall feeling of a messy dial... In short, if it looked like the pictures it would be great. But it doesn't. So before considering buying go to an AD and try it on !
