As is Canada and United States. As is Northern Europe. We in the West are the Cigar Store Indians of our soon-coming Global Dark Winter. The only free and unencumbered wealth left on earth is our Western retirement funds, and those will be looted and gone by 2035! The lady who said she felt like she was part of the royal family really exemplifies the delusions that a lot of the older generations of people from African and Afro-Caribbean descent hold, in respect of their views about the British Monarchy. Older generations who grew up with less access to information to educate themselves about the truths behind colonialism and British imperialism seem to exhibit an undue reverence to the British monarchy. I suspect that this is due to some sort of collective 'Stockholm Syndrome' where these subjugated societies develop warped attitudes towards those who have oppressed them. As a modern example, just look at how the current Royal Family treated Megan Markle, a women of mixed African-American heritage ancestry, and her children with such contempt, based on their heritage. People of African and Afro-Caribbean descent (perhaps others too) should understand that the British monarchy has, and forever will, view such people as being racially inferior, which was the whole premise that the institution of slavery was justified upon, and these types of social engagements with peoples of the old British Empire are nothing but facades designed to mislead these peoples into believing that they are somehow a part of this Royal Family. This is perhaps why the British monarchy always describes such activities as being part of their 'Royal duties', i.e. something that has to be done, irrespective of whether they are actually sincere in their words and actions.

Honestly, if people would read their history books the queen was pivotal on the transition colonies becoming independent. Yes, every European country had their history good or bad but countries around the world also had a part to the oppression of their people. Demanding reparation is not going to solve problems with economies. If Singapore who is one of the richest nations and a former British colony could get their stuff together then any other country with common law could. It’s up to the people of that nation, not a symbolic figure that hasn’t made a political decision for hundreds of years.

get real... the queen did nothing for the British people, she did as she was told. So you know the last time kings meddled with Parliament? the King was beheaded by Cromwell and if you follow the royals after they were scared of parliament and are puppets for the State wold stage. So what did the Queen do during corvid?????? she could have given just 0.2 % of her wealth to help her SUBJECTS but instead decided to live 950miles away in a private palace. Secondly what give a person right to rule??? in that case bow to me! well if i had a personal army i would be a tyrant tooo. you claim to follow history? ok so what about Socrates? There are problems with the portrait that is being painted; Elizabeth Saxe-Coburg-Gotha was not merely some symbolic figurehead and her empire is not exactly dead. It's interesting to me the British War of 1812 on the American colonies, with creation of District of Columbia under the same obelisk as found in London, Rome and Cairo, has been neglected in American history, like Lincoln's brutal imposition of a supra-governmental 'Federal Authority' (and income tax) on the Free Republic of States, is also glossed over as the 'war to end slavery' hogwash narrative. Lincoln made _everyone_ a slave to WADC. Then an ensuing economic collapse under Carpet Baggers and Robber Batons, never spoken of, the forced draft of Americans into the British side in their Royal hegemony WW1, then imposition at midnight of the private Fed Banks of London on our financial sector, then a _second_ American draft onto the British side in WW2, has all been completely obfuscated by Western historians. We should have fought on the side of the French _against_ the British (Austro-Hungarian) Crown. Nixon should have unbound the US dollar from Crown gold and freed America from those Fed Banks of London. American history is a child's fable.

You folks so used to dictators and strongmen the very idea of people questioning the status quo or leadership is foreign to you all. Ive finally realized how blessed i am to not live in areas of the world that are theocratic or a dictatorship.

Reasons that Barbados🇧🇧 ditched the monarchy for a republic, as they have a lucrative business deals from China🇨🇳, of which those deals may look "good", but in retrospect, the deals itself are deceiving; and could hurt Barbados's economy and prosperity in the long run, much like of how the business deals that China made have bankrupted Sri Lanka🇱🇰 in the process, with terrible consequences. True. Sri Lanka is dying a slow death by bearing the weight of the debt owed to China. From what I gather from the Internet, about 40% of the population of that tiny island can’t afford even two meals a day. Prices of basic foods such as rice, bread,vegetables have gone sky high. Over a million people have left the country during the past two years, in search of jobs. 😭😭🇱🇰

@myamdane6895

German, Danish, Greek, maybe some Russian here and there. But the current King can trace his lineage to William the Conqueror, who was Norman, and he could trace his lineage to Charlemagne who was Frankish. So while ethnically you’re right the monarch is a hodge podge of all sorts of European ethnicities his family is very much English today, and even back to the times of Victoria who was born in 1819.

We still claim the sabah but the malaysia still put OFW in prisons for a many years as a result of the decolonization here in the southern part in philippines. And the malaysian government had a privelege of the rent in the sultunate of sulu. But the court in France file of the royal fullblooded family or extended relatives won the case though they are minority in our demographic population. And lastly the people of who lived there in Sabah are confused of their own identity and the OFW already deported or undocumented migrants.

About Malaysia, need to make corrections there. The British were fighting the Communist insurgency in Malaya, together with the inhabitants of Malaya, not fighting the independence movement. British tried to colonize the whole Malaya in 1946 under Malayan Union (before this all the Malay States were British Protectorate) but they failed to do so because the Malays as the majority race in civil service there, boycott all the functions and meetings related to British rules. A peaceful action against British colonization and as replacement, the Empire created The Federation of Malaya, instead. Malaya became the British Protectorate same as before, gaining independence on 1957.

So much progress has been made though. Love sinner, hate the sin, the world is not a wholly place. It is better to forgive the past because it truly is over. Africans were also involved in selling slaves to the British so there was never any people more virtuous than the other. The world runs on power and money but the question is, would it even be possible that it didn't? What kind of a world would it be? It would be without hospitals for one.
@jahmah519
@jahmah519 Жыл бұрын
You have absolutely no idea to an alternative, you have no idea about the need for hospitals, a world run differently is a world not run at all, people would not only be governed differently they would just govern their own lives, so intelligently governing 1 owns life would make someone more aware of their own well being, hospitals would in effect be in less demand, a lot of people end up in hospital because of stupidity, drinking alcohol in excess for instance, industrial poisoning, chemical reactions, cancer, prevention is the best cure. You know what, the past is gone forever & forgiveness is paramount, no point dwelling on the past bringing pain & sorrow forward so people share misery, people are not cattle that need controlling, they just need the opportunity to control their lives & we will all live better & more healthily knowing that with trust we will live in harmony & love & this is what is gonna happen before these freak mental monsters destroy this planet which is hanging in there waiting for us to wake up & do something before Earth has to do something to us to save itself. This has happened before. Revolution 💚🤝🌍

Progress🤔? Consider the countries who are still moving through neocolonialism, still paying debt to their oppressors! The past cannot be forgotten if the evils continue: western governments assisting rebels to stage coups in countries for their own gain. Multinationals exploiting the indigenous population whilst corrupt governments overlooked;and so on. Has the Monarchy truly never been aware of what was going on ? He who knows the good that he should do and does not do it, sins.😑

The British Empire was mostly amazing, It did amazing things for the whole world, this was marred somewhat by numerous episodes of brutality and opression. But overall the British Empire moved the world forward to become a more civilised place. I think that had the Empire endured beyond WW2 then it would have evolved (as did the UK homeland) to become a truly magnificent and benevolent Empire...
