Jason ‘Beaulo’ Doty joined TSM in June 2019 as a part of the organization’s first Rainbow Six Siege team. He is the team’s flex player, playing a wide variety of operators to fit whatever is needed for the map. Over the past few years, Beaulo became well known by many as a content creator, featuring his precise aim and overaggressive play on stream and KZfaq while he could not officially compete due to age restrictions. His entry into the pro scene has come with a fair amount of hype, with many of his fans hoping to see him succeed in the Rainbow Six League.

I really think it's also a biproduct of the types of videos that are popular now vs in like 2016 for example. People used to be very in tune with the new updates and operator interactions and they watched content that reflected it. They treated it like the tactical game that it is. The new content reflects what people wanna see which is just champions who have better aim than 99.9% of the playerbase gun everyone down, and they think that's how they should play. What they don't see is all the game sense and knowledge that goes into that. Everyone who knows how to actually play the game properly nowadays probably started playing 5+ years ago.

I love you for saying shit I've been thinking for like a year. there just is no way this tdm meta is real its just what everyone sees in videos. I've been playing it the exact same way since operation health droning my self watching for flanks etc. and I've only gotten better and better at it, so all these pros/ex pros are just playing against literal golds cuz the new ranked system is ass. doesn't help pro league is dead/dying? so now people don't have a place to watch good comp stacks play like they used too. crazy how a lot of this shit is just happening in their heads.

I haven’t enjoyed the new ranked system at all. The progression has felt tedious and everyone is either undeserving or careless of their rank due to how low risk- high reward the new point system is now. It has left playing ranked feeling irritating and dull. (Edit: I also think hidden mmr in ranked is silly at least show us what our skill level is)

Devs need to be reprimanded. Ranked 2.0 is the most noncompetitive system I’ve ever seen. Matchmaking is non-existent

Siege's downfall is the player base and ubi nerfing trap ops, it was the reason it was slowed down so much because people had to check for gadgets, not just disregard them

What traps got nerfed? Mel and lesion are slower now and Kapkan lost 1.5 that's it. Thorn gained 1.5, Kapkan can place multiple traps on one door now, and wamai got his 1.5 back.

@@buttnuts2599 mel got her gadget nerfed to shit, lesion lost main reason for his gadget damage and info, Ela is still useless since her shotgun and smg aren't great, maestro has way too many counters to be useful anymore, barbwire use to slow people down, now its 2 hits and most ops have a choice between barb or a c4, which 90% of the time would get the pick, these changes are making the game pace faster and faster and taking away the tactical feel of the game

@@ByLJT Mel gadget still super solid, both ela guns are more than fine, yes maestro has many counters now but he still got lmg on defense . They made traps so u have to play near then and off of them to gain value, i dont know why you thinking broken "set and forget" gadgets are healthier for the game. Just tell me you cant aim for shit and u need op gadgets to do anything.

The meta has never been good . And it’s not because of the game. The community of every game finds exploits . It’s the human race that’s the problem . If we played rainbow how it’s meant to be played. We would all have a better experience, with people knowing how to play support / more team play. It’s all about who has better aim right now and who can win their 1v1 gunfights. It’s barely anyone trying to out think their opponent with gadgets/angles/combos like melusi thorn ..

Less about meta than it is about ranked 2.0 not being rewarding so people play ranked loosely because of that. When you can maintain even a slightly positive W/L then eventually you’ll get to whatever rank you want with enough games played. When they separated Diamond into 3 tiers under the MMR system, that was a decent compromise to originally ranked and where it’s at now.

Remove 1.5 completely. It’s destroyed the siege mindset. No one plays utility anymore. It’s only 1.5 as far as the eye can see. Also make the game free and improve anticheat

Bro people have been saying siege died ever since year 2. I remember one of my friends stopped playing when Ela came out and he didn't like the trap meta. Pengu made the save siege video in 2020. I've realized that if the game would've truly "died" it would've already happened.
