Cannot agree more! Been in both scenes and London/UK Parties and afters are sooo much better than the toxic scene in LA. LA is good for living as a place, but as a social space I do agree is toxic and very dependant on ur status, whereas in the uk it dont matter if you make 100k or 10k you can have a blast, and we are more banter.

LA is the paragon of fortune and fame in the world that’s literally where people go when they become a celebrity so obviously it’s a shallow place that puts such a heavy value on status. People can’t let that one city represent Americans as a whole because that’s not the case whatsoever. Go to like 45/50 of the states that you don’t hear about as much in the media and everyone is pretty friendly and down to earth it’s just a shame we as Americans are so over represented by our biggest cities where the people are completely out of touch from reality

At the end of the day, there's pros to living in a big city and cons to living in a big city. There's pros to living in the sticks and cons to living in the sticks. And things you might find good about a place, others might find bad and vice-versa. You might not like paying taxes, but other people might like the services you're provided when you do pay taxes. What an interesting convo as a Brit I completely get it and how we drink together I’ll drink with you whether you collect bins or own a chain of nightclubs where as Americans have natural “clicks” where they associate with people who they wanna better themselves because of being surrounded by them
@wyterabitt2149
@wyterabitt2149 2 жыл бұрын
Sure, but that's because 99% of everyone is just drinking to get drunk, scream, fight, shout, vomit, piss on the street, and generally be an embarrassment to the country. Why would any of them care about who is around them, most people won't be able to form sentences or figure out who anyone is later anyway. In the US they actually go out socially, not just pretend it a social thing but use it to get drunk. So of course they will want to be with those they are more likely to be social with.

Agree with this to an extent. As someone from the U.S., the scene that they’re talking about is the minority of the party scene in the U.S, very subject to social media/celebrity personalities. Normal everyday people and how we “party” and drink is pretty much the same as it is over there. Whether we go out, or are just at the house drinking with friends its pretty much come as you are, really don’t give a shit about social status (unless you’re at a college party or some shit, thats always a different “who do you know” story). But the majority in everyday life is pretty similar.

The thing is, like what Logan said, minus the "scenes" in these cities, they're actually incredible to live in and visit. There's so much to do. I love house parties simply because 1. @@georgseide9764 no you're right. As an American who has also been out in London I'll tell you that the parties are the same no matter where you go honestly. People are people, and money and status get to some peoples heads all the same. I do think because LA and London are not just hubs of their countries but also major world cities, they contain a lot of entertainers/influencers socialites etc. so the scene is extreme, but other regular cities it's not as bad. There are also humble people in these cities as well that have house parties that aren't all fake and what not. Yeh but I feel like I see examples of people not understanding UK humour all the time. For example, the UK office. Americans typically dont enjoy it because of the humour. American humour, in the nicest way possible, is basic, unbelievable (literally) and obvious. Another example, Inbetweeners was a hugely popular show here in the UK and an American version was tried and FLOPPED because the humour didnt translate.

@@James-rc6qq I get what you're saying I just don't like when they lump all of America together. They think are humor is like Jake or Logan Paul but idk anyone who acts or likes either of them. If you asked US citizens the majority would say they want California kicked out of the US. If the Sidemen want to see real America they should go to Boston or New York. As someone who lived in London for 2 years abroad, Boston is the most similar city you can get. The US just has so many youtubers that English people only focus on the same top 10. There are so much funnier youtubers who act like the Sidemen but I'm sure none of the Sidemen have heard of them (Were talking 10's of Millions of Sub channels). Well this was long winded hahah I just hope someone in the Sidemen camp reads this and acknowledges that their US fans think they're hilarious. Thanks for coming to my TedTalk

@@Kyle-kj8di I think its awesome to have an American be so passionate about the sidemen when here I was thinking they were very UK centered with their demographic. I 100% get what you're saying in terms of generalising all Americans in terms of certain characteristics. I have not once thought "there must be some americans who like/understand UK humour so that is definitely my bad. I am very guilty of hating on America because, and I'm sorry, some of "y'all" are soooo annoying XD. But also, in the same way, I like the MLB, love America tv shows such as friends, Brooklyn 99, the office, How i met your mother in particular, that I probably appreciate US humour more than others. And some of your KZfaqrs are incredible. One I am particularly enjoying is Urban Rescue Ranch whos videos are just fantastic. But overall, I agree with literally all of what you say and its so true and overgeneralising groups happens in all areas of life. The same can be applied to England. We arent all football watching, tea drinking, fish and chips eating, bad teeth eating shit food. I for example, have straight teeth, love rugby and so on. One final comment would be, foreign people dont always see how multicultural England is. London is one of the most diverse cities on earth. The food, particularly in London where I do live, is incredible with all these cultures offering their ways of life. And funnily enough, our national dish is an English style indian curry. The TIkka Masala which you would not find anywhere in India. And sorry for this being very long and thanks for coming to MY TedTalk :) Hope you made it to the end awake

Like you said not all English folk have bad teeth and sit in bars all day watching football just like not all US people are trying to get clout by being idiots online and shooting guns in the air all the time while screaming merica XD.
