Useful. Thank you. Re the wipers, why not put them on automatic? Or use voice - "Windshield wipers level 1/2/3/auto"? Same with just about everything else - voice works wonderfully. Seat heaters, navigation, defrost, you name it.

I can totally understand what you are saying. I bought my 2021 Tesla Model 3 Long Range here in Canada in December 2020. I knew about your channel as I was strongly considering an AMG C43 at the time, but decided to try something completely different and try the Tesla. I also strongly considered the Polestar 2 AWD as well. I really like the car (happened to my first one in the flesh today, outside a Tesla dealership, funny enough), but it really needs another 100kW charging speed and another 100km of range. The other problem here is that there are only 3 dealerships in Canada and the closest one is 200km away. Love the car, but it dealer support has a long way to go.. Yes the Tesla is a great car, but it can be pretty annoying at times. I HATE the Ver 11 software that was installed in January 2022. Everything is so frigging small and hard to find now on the screen. I hate that it cannot be customised by the end user. I would pay money if I could go back to Ver 10. Tesla decides how they want it and if you don't like it, tough. Anyway I do like the car and I agree that it is the best EV available now, but the competition seems to be coming up quickly from behind.

Wipers can be engaged from the stalk OR via voice command. In fact practically everything can be controlled via voice command.

Fair review and can't really disagree with much of what was said, I came from a BMW M235 to a Model 3 LR so apperciate much was said. I thought when i went on my test drive that I would hate the interior but I found i really liked the uncluttered-ness and the amount of storage - but you are correct there is no wow factor or premium feel about it. The UI is a pain in the arse (as you rightly said, since the update), the previous design you could just about use safely, but the current one is too many clicks requiring eyes off the road. One area I really wish they would invest in is sorting the lights - my BMW had adaptive headlights with full beam assist which meant the car could adjust the fullbeam pattern such as lightling up the nearside whilst not dazzling oncoming traffic and the system was brilliant. With the matrix headlights they can do this if they invest some time in developing the S/W

Thanks for the review. OTA updates is such a great feature. Elon Musk has already recognised that the current UI issues will be fixed in a future update.

I think everyone hates that the necessary one-touch features have been buried in the menus. Like you said, the UI designer obviously doesn't drive!!

But if you can only have one car then the model 3 is a no-brainer and I've done 5,500 miles for £85 worth of electricity! One day there will be better cars but at the moment model 3 is the best.

You need to learn how to work with computers. Your "car" is actually a robot. The whole car is set up to work with and be controlled by the computer. It is not perfect, lots more work to do on the TM3. But if you don't like computers, better to stick with a non-FSD compatible car (soon to be interesting antique) and sell your TM3. If you want to learn computers, maybe start with some voice commands?
