In some ways yes Slavic culture is more traditional depending on how you use the term. For instance they are very classy dressers who don't dress in an oversexualized manner. However in other ways this part of the world is more modern, more secular than many western places like USA. For instance divorce and abortion and they aren't as religious. I believe in tradition and think that we should listen to the wisdom of the past and even learn from the mistakes of the past. However there's very little actual traditionalism in Ukraine and even less in russia imo. russia has unbelievable stats. It's not the land of the tsars but a post soviet void.

I think the term "traditional" Ukrainian women has long been a misnomer or at least misunderstood. Yes, Ukrainian women are very feminine and family oriented, but they are also educated, cultured and hard working (in a career sense, although not necessarily career-oriented in a Western sense). So they will prioritize their feminine (and home-maker) qualities, but still have the desirable qualities of modern women (education, worldliness, financial contribution, AND sexually emancipated). Plus, as you say, the divorce rate is very high, as it has been for at least the 30 years I have been coming to Ukraine (I have heard an interesting explanation for that). To my mind, these women are the best of both worlds, feminine on the outside, yet strong on the inside. Plus, most the women I have met in the past 10 years are also contributing a lot to society - engaged in volunteer or community work, or hustling hard to build a business. These women are just amazing! So if any farmer from Wisconsin thinks he bring one of these girls to his hick town, he is in for a big surprise. Kyiv is a more dynamic environment than most North American cities, outside of New York or LA or (maybe) other Top 10 cities. Sure, there are a lot of crappy small cities in Ukraine, but that is also true in the US and Canada. And if the girl isn't happy in Ukraine, then she can find happiness and an enticing lifestyle in Europe a lot easier than in the US.

No Ukrainian women aren't that traditional nor are Russian women just go to Turkey or Egypt in the summer months most are social climbers many Ukrainian young women from the Eastern oblasts and even from Odessa and kiev used to go to Moscow's top nightclubs and look for her Forbes that is a term given to young women looking for rich Russian men

If women of Ukraine were traditional they wouldn't have run away from their homeland like cowards during a crisis. I support those who remained to fight but their culture is clearly flawed and not to be idolised.

Meh. Joe pushes older Ukrainian women that probably ARE more "traditional", whatever that means. The Ukrainians that you and I engage with are much more enlightened IMHO. I do 90% of the cooking, but there are still echoes of tradition like their desire to stay in their feminine. I will say that when I talked with his team, they were very against an age gap over 10 years, even when my American ex was 6 years younger, relatively traditional, and very high on the beauty wheel. His target audience is not going to fish in the same pond, but there are plenty of those guys in the West!

My Ukrainian wife cooks and cleans and washes my clothes. I’m from the Midwest too. She is so fine even women just stare at her when we are out. Stopped with her at a truck stop in Indiana once. The reactions were hilarious; I should have filmed it. She got a Master’s degree and speaks multiple languages. He is totally right about how Ukrainian woman live in Ukraine. They love the city life. If you lived on a farm they would be miserable. They like Chicago and trips to Miami and Hawaii 😂. Mine thinks New York is an outdated s**thole. She thinks Kyiv is a better place to live even during the war. The entire United States is becoming a s**thole in my opinion. I want to leave in the future. According to world economic forum, there are 300,000 more women in Ukraine between the age of 24 to 54 than men of the same age. That is a lot of single ladies. All my ex girlfriends were 15 to 25 years younger than me. God bless America!!
