Great video, I'd only add one thing that to it. A big issue and debate in all the COP sessions is that countries agree that climate change is a big and prevailing issue but they are unable to come to a conclussion as to who must pay for the transition required to effectively help mitigate and adapat to the upcoming climate change and limit the warming to 1.5 degrees. Carbon markets both compliance and voluntary provide a great way to help funnel capital from the global north to the global south. As the north has benefitted from their pre-environmental norm industrial age and want the south to now play along with the new norms and laws, which is good for the environment but it costs extra. For example: Coal is cheap, solar pannels are not. So I see the carbon markets as an instrument to help direct funds from the global north to the global south to help build a more sustainable world overall.

Carbon Credit should be given to Individuals who use Solar Panels on their house for Electricity. Then we can trade it in the market and earn some money. It will increase the number of houses with Solar.

One thing I would like to know, you have mentioned that methane gas is burnt but methan gas is actually Natural Gas and I guess this is a bio gas which is methane only developed from waste and can be used in cooking or heating purpose.

i think carbon credit will work if after every two years over emissions to purchased credit is discounted by 10%. if it is always 10 ton emissions settled against 10 ton credit purchased then nothing will improve. Emissions need to go down without any emergency break to economy. with every 2 years company must buy 10% more credit or reduce emission by 10%

Sir, have a doubt. If we produce energy through Renewable sources like windmills, Solar, etc. How is it a carbon credit, it is actually carbon zero, since we are not offsetting 1 ton of CO2 from Earth. Pls clarify
