Suggest you travel more and then you will live and learn that other countries quality of life. I travelled to Dhaka and Manila and Vietnam... the moment I came home, I felt blessed immediately.

Did you meant those pendatang from Indonesia.. Bangladesh or Pakistan? Because all citizens of Malaysia treated equally.. Every races have their own school and their mother tongue teaches in school, not to mention all races can practice their own religions and faith! If you say there is discrimination.. I can't see it.. It's the only country that has a fully operational Japanese school outside of Japan. It's located in Subang Jaya less than 2km where the old Subang airport was. There's a very big Japanese population in and around there.

@@tunkufazuintunkuzainalabid5683 Just to be realistic here; no its not the only country that has a fully operational Japanese school outside of Japan. Singapore, UK, etc have "日本人学校" for a long time. However, Malaysia's prospects when it comes to education is really attractive for Japanese parents, because we give American and UK accreditation in schools, speak English/Mandarin which are two big world languages, and is relatively cheap being a 1/3rd cheaper than Japan overall. Interestingly, the number of immigrants who migrate to Malaysia are just Japanese mothers and their child, with the father being in Japan or elsewhere to earn. The term is called "母子留学" (Boshi-ryugaku, mother-child study abroad)

As of today, Singapore has about 31,3700 Japanese living in Singapore.🇸🇬🇸🇬🇸🇬Total no. peaked in 2017 at around 37,5000.❤❤❤ REAL FUN FACT of Malaysia: There are ONLY About 24,545 Japanese living in Malaysia. as an expat myself theres 4 things i fell in love forever with malaysia specifically Kuala Lumpur 1. the all year hot sunny weather 2. the amazing versatility of food menus 3. its friendly people 4. its great city and amazing technological infrastructure

Thanks for the video. I finally established a way to increase my net income per month. My 2024 goal is to pay off the house by Sept 2024 (8 years total into a 30 year @ 4%). I have no debt other than mortgage. My 401k, HSA, IRA and emergency funds get maxed out. The mortgage is my last piece of debt left. I don't have any school loan or CC debt. I've made a lot of sacrifices over the years.

Kuala lumpur has a good quality of life, and it's affordable if you compare it to Singapour and the infrastructure it's better in kl than. Bangkok , bangkok, it's good for nightlife

KL is not there yet, can’t compare to Singapore🥰..KL was just a flat land with no tall buildings in 90s when Singapore was already a developed country in early 90s. KL only started building up in late 90s & your MRT system is not as efficient as Singapore yet, only built 30yrs later than Singapore.❤❤ Be thankful that Singapore been no.1 investor in Malaysia for many decades helping Malaysia, it’s not other countries that help u but Singapore.🇸🇬🇸🇬🇸🇬

SGs replenishing petrol supply in JB cos its cheaper. Please dont say is not true cos its proven to be so true. We can quarrel and argue on so many things but at the end of the day, MY and SG used to be sibling and let’s just appreciate the history. Don’t stain it by giving such comment above. Still pretty impressed that out of 100+ countries in the world, the majority muslim country became his first choice. This proved that Islam is possible to keep certain country to live in harmony and peaceful, and Malaysia is a great example for this. They use a proper rule of islam there, which is respect each other regardless of their religion, race, and culture. Every one there are welcomed with open heart, and has their own freedom.

Michelin star means nothing in Asia. They don't know Asian food. So a city having more michelin star doesn't mean it has better restaurants than another which doesn't.

Michelin is a company that makes tires and for some reason also gives stars to restaurants that make really tiny portions of food. I never understood the appeal.

Michelin star Restaurants are just expensive. The guy has no clue about real quality food. He may have tons of money and he can afford to spend 300 dollars für just one dinner on one person. Everything is cheaper in Malaysia. Plus the people are very hospitable and humble. What amazing is that even the young kids mostly from the private Chinese schools they would bow their head down and say "thank you" or "please" or "your welcome" to their teachers and the elders, it's really wholesome to see that, i thought only Japanese kids does it but nah you can see that in Malaysia.

Japanese do it out of "professionalism", very often you feel they say thank you and you're welcome and even smiling at you was because their employment agreement said they have to do that. Malaysia is different, its not about their bosses, its people truly being happy that moment.

Ipoh and Taiping are hidden gems of food, especially from ancient Chinese cuisine. The weather in Taiping is great, it rains every day, only wet rain and cold showers, and suddenly it's sunny and hot. You can stay longer in the Western and other lifestyles by drinking tea and fine wine in the colder best areas of the Cameron Highlands. Good weather and good people will be discovered further as you expand and love.

Malaysia is divided into two parts it was formed in 1963: West Malaysia, also known as Semenanjung Malaysia, and East Malaysia, which consists of Sabah and Sarawak on the island of Borneo. East Malaysia offers a unique experience with its diverse ethnicities, exotic islands, and rich cultural heritage. In Sarawak, the majority race is the Dayaks, while in Sabah, the majority race is the Kadazan-Dusun. The lifestyle in East Malaysia is more laid-back, and the people live in harmony, embracing their cultural diversity. Sarawak is renowned for its delicious layer cake dessert, while Sabah is famous for its fresh seafood. The funny thing is that Malaysia in the 90s was a lot better in some key ways than it is presently: more diversified expat base (more westerners then than now, in which it has more Asian/Chinese/Middle Eastern expats), better economic growth (double digit growth compared to mid single digits now), the weather was better before (fewer forest fires from Indonesia to contend with, so less smog), it was less polluted, spoken English was a lot better and everything else was basically the same as now. The only improvements in the last 30 years or so has been: better public transport options, arrival of budget airlines (e.g. Air Asia is a Malaysian company), online is a lot better now than in many places in Europe in some areas. So to anyone watching this video thinking Malaysia just came on to the scene recently, you're incorrect. It has been an attractive Asian hub for a long time - the only difference is that one didn't have influencers promoting it and spreading the word. Personally, Malaysia is best for British expats: everyone speaks English, road signs in English, drive on the left as in the UK, electrical sockets are exactly the same - it's just so easy for a British expat or retiree, provided you can handle the tropical weather.

It is important to note that Malaysia does have a minimum purchase price on residential and commercial/industrial real estate for foreigners. It is typically 1,000,000 MYR for residential and 3,000,000 MYR for commercial/industrial some parts of Malaysia it is higher some it is little less. 1,000,000 MYR is just over 200,000 USD. That is half the US median sale price so your room to grow there isn't huge.

The only drawback I found with the MM2H is their fixed deposit requirement in a Malaysian bank which currently yields a mere 4% tax-free (give or take) compared to 10%+ in my stock folio (taxed) yet for me, taking $140k out to acquire Malay residency doesn't yet make it an attractive proposition unless I can find a loophole that will allow me to meet their fixed deposit requirement in something other than a 4% bank account. By the way, most 1-year GICs in Canada currently pay over 5%. I'm no huge fan of Canadian politics but when it comes to Canada's financial infrastructure it's among the best security-wise and *might* end up softening the blow of the upcoming US de-dollarization. In hindsight, Canadian banks were extremely well protected during the US 2008 fiasco.

Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, they are better place for travellers. Great culture, foods, more unique, etc. But Malaysia (and Singapore) are definitely better place to live and works. Easy adjustment for foreigners ❤❤❤. And practically Malaysia are dead center of South East Asia, perfect central hub and base to travel around the region.

Flip Flop Malaysia. 2022 they changed the MM2H rules...99.99% applicants Withdrew their applications. 2023-2024 ZERO Applications received (Source: my MM2H agent). I heard that the govt are going to "tweak" the MM2H rules & regulations (coming out this June 2024?). Best of luck mate. I've got 3 more years on my old MM2H visa, so I'll wait till then and decide, who knows I might be dead by then. LOL

I get what Andrew is trying to convey. Some look at what's on paper or on surface to decide what's good, less so on experience. But kindness can't be felt on paper. It is what is left when you have nothing. It can't be really describe, it's not a measure you can meaningfully put in a statistics. You have to experience it to understand and feel it. Once you felt it you won't want to let go. This is what Malaysia is. What have happened recently during Raya traffic jams, displayed this perfectly. Case in point, look at 'happiness' statistics. Those metrics for happiness statistics do not reflect the state of happiness you felt as a person. And the sample size does not correlate.

Actually you don't need to hire security guards to guard your villas in Malaysia unless it's in the middle of nowhere. You're probably going to buy within a gated guarded community and you pay a monthly maintenance for security, club house, gym, pool etc.

The best airport in the world of course Changi, Doha and Incheon..all Asians airports much better than European or American airports which can be chaotic mostly during festive seasons. KLIA needs upgrading, and train connection between the terminals seems taking forever to get it repaired showing inefficiency of Malaysian Airports management. They should add more immigration counters for foreigners and add more facilities at KLIA as gateway to Malaysia.

You can suggest but the KLIA management probably won't care. Year after year they can't seem to manage it well, bad planning as always. Remember they didn't do anything to improve the airport during COVID when there's no passengers? Terminal 2 in particular is a headache to walk through. It was designed to save money, maximize shops and disregarded passenger comfort.
