I remember when I was in high school and NSXs were 25k and I said “one day”. Then I remember when I was 22 and making okay money and NSXs were 40k and I said “one day”. Now I’m 27 and making great money but all I can think when I look at NSXs going for near or above six figures is “one day…”

You're not alone I remember my dads friend got one 2009 24k everyone thought he over payed. Same story with mk4 supra, fd rx7, corolla gts, lotus elise, s2000, 240sx, ect

@@FATmenDRIVEtrucks I’ve owned two S2000s. Great cars. But when I see the prices they go for now I’m just like, really? They’re great 20k-35k cars. Not $200k.

Yeah, prices are insane now. But they also should never have been 25k IMO.

Almost identical to my 95…137,000 miles, short gears, rear pinion, Comptech headers, exhaust, and JDM short gears are amazing and I believe are available again..

Funny since I bought mine in 2016 and literally started modifying it this year. Ordered new exhaust bits, coilovers and deleting some parts.

Best setup for any gen1 NSX is 17" front and 18" rear.

what tears me up about the car market and the NSX in particular is its kind of a holy grail car 90s JDM car (supra/GTR/FD/nsx) but for 150k for a 90 something with mods or just get a new one for the same price it'll come down to preference but man its just like the new one is leaps and bounds faster.

Final drive alone doesn’t say anything. It’s a combination with the rest of the gears. Your BRZ might have shorter gear even with a taller final drive…

That exhaust is too raspy from the outside. It sounds good in the cabin though.

Is there a gear mod for a NA2? I feel my NA2 is geared very long also.

Yes - 6 speed gear ratios are fine anyway so all you really need is a shorter final drive - OS gikken make 4.44 that's perfect. Or even 4.62 if you really want to go crazy, although it'll compromise highway driving a fair amount.

Did anyone ever make a header for these that changed the tone from raspy to something more exotic? Unequal length etc? More howl

I have the RFY exhaust with stock headers and it's definitely not raspy. I wouldn't say it's a flat plane Ferrari V8 exhaust note but it's plenty exotic for me. You can google RFY NSX and listen for yourself. It's not bad.
