Something you forgot to mention is how Moria was not always like this, he is a captain whose Crew was killed in Wano by kaido. Now that we are on Wano, an arc that heavily focus on "captaincy" I understand why Moria wants to be detached of his crewmates; his own soul was crushed

i actually really enjoyed thriller bark. The spooky atmosphere, zoro vs ryuma, usopp vs perona. Its also one of the funniest arcs imo

I'm so glad that there's someone who understands just how good this arc is. Hopefully there's more One Piece videos to come. Loving all your content of course but if there's any more One Piece content planned out for the future that would be amazing

usopp may show humility but i feel the apologize scene is two sided...luffy trusts usopp cause he knows he helped with robin as do we so while luffy and usopp had beef its mostly zoro whose still mad and usopp may not mean it 100% yet and thats ok...so luffy cause he needs him gives usopp the chance to redo what he first says when he sees the crew again as they are leaving pretending not to heard his first words cause they are not an apology...you can tell luffy missed him due to them crying right away pretending like it did not matter...the apology wiped that away...friends fight...but to luffy his crew is apart of him so not having one being a nakama anymore is like losing apart of himself...which is why he needed usopp to show himself vs lucci to win...he was not whole...yes he wanted to save robin but he was missing 1/7th of himself at that time...so of course he falls first on top of not being a pirate that long so he was not ready for the pain or know how much he had to dish out...its simple but usopp had already decided to bet his life on luffy being pirate king on arabasta...he saved nami on skypeia...he did things luffy was not around for that we were...so we aceept usopp too..luffy accepts him without knowing these things fully..thats why hes a g...

Thriller Bark may be my favorite if not one of my favorite pre time skip arcs in One Piece. It probably helped that I watched it during peak Halloween season so it was very fitting but the moment we learn of Brook’s backstory with Laboon and first hearing Bink’s Sake/Brew it set in stone for me how much I love that arc and Brook, and gained a huge appreciation for the Laboon storyline (one where originally I hadn’t really cared or seen the significance of Laboon but Thriller Bark changed that). It showed me the level of foreshadowing and planning Oda goes through, even having Bink’s Sake planned out before having it actually debut and having Zoro fight Ryuma which is just foreshadowing for Wano

and yet I keep seeing people put Thriller bark in D tier in many Tier lists, I will always appreciate Thriller bark is just the fighting with Moira crew that really damages the arc but a lot of important stuff happens in this arc.

This pretty Overanalytical with a lot of synopsis, Also moria wanted a crew of zombies so he doesn't have to lose anyone else he cares about, Just look at Wana around the end of Act 2 where Moria confronts Blackbeard.

i feel people hate on this arc cause it kinda is not that emotionally relevant for most of the first 2/3rds but brook's story and nothing happened at the end are so sad that oda banked on that being what you latch onto

Spoilers: I love watching breakdowns of old story arcs since finding out Luffy is the Sun God Nika. Especially if the breakdown starts talking about dawn coming like you do in this video. You were talking about the zombies and the others who had their shadow taken not being afraid (so basically they faith in Luffy/faith in the sun god) and Luffy is there to save them, which is a common them everywhere they go. And that mies perfect sense bc wherever Luffy goes, you can hear it: The Drums of Liberation. What’s funny about starting the show years and years after everybody else is that I hear all of these opinions about each arc:”. First of all, there is no bad arc in One Piece. Secondly, the amount of crap Skypiea and Thriller Bark get is insane bc Thirdly, those are two of the best arcs. Nevermind that TB is one of the funniest arcs but moe importantly we meet Brook, so then we learn about Laboon. And then at the end of the arc we get 'Nothing Happened.' Mad Underrated.

Ngl when I first was introduced into one piece I'd watched the anime when I saw thriller bark I did not like it I thought it was one of the weakest arcs but when I read the manga it gave me a new perspective. I always loved the usoop fight,zoro in this arc 👌I love brook whole character and his past. The stuff I didn't like was moria the main villian I think the anime made it worse for me like buggy in orange town in the anime for me I do not like that arc but when I read the arc in the manga I loved buggy sorry off topic but yeah after reading the arc it is now my 16th or 15th one piece arc.

thriller bark is not a top 5 arc but its for sure top 10...people need to stfu...as a story arc its unique...i feel every other major story arc can be placed in a story saga and pretty much every other smaller arc fits with the bigger ones in one saga period...thriller bark not so much..it stands out as its own saga sorta...theres 10 other sagas besides it up to date and this is the only arc that does not fit under any of them or is apart of 2+ arcs in the saga...so its hard to rank on its own cause oda kinda just did what he wanted this arc and tied it to sabaody with kuma...like without kuma thriller bark does not fit narrative wise into the multiple arc story sagas he writes....levely kinda does not fit either but thats by design since it has nothing to do with our main characters so its meant to be a one off arc for mystery and impact...to have such a big arc not fit into the story arc formula is unique....its like saying long ring long fits into the enie's lobby saga..only cause of robin being gone from the crew being foreshadowed and aokiji showing up which leads the monster trio to get upgrades off screen to deal with new threats...it still counts cause it leads into the saga better then thriller bark into sabaody..thriller bark ends with kuma but without that its kinda not woven into the story as well as every other major arc but thats by design i feel cause its random they got trapped and its a mystery arc with horror themes and they literally are in a triangle named area ala bermuda where weird stuff happens and people go missing...like skypeia its a detour
