I believe your valuation is fair but you miss one big point, Toyota cars have very good reputation for reliability thus people are willing to pay a premium for its vehicles - new and used. Thus the price has some premium to other automakers according to me.

While yes they have a very good reputation their growth has still been extremly dissapointing and the risk that hybrids do not work out is extremly high.

@@financewithjustus Hybrid sales growing vs EV sales dropping. Toyota has sold them for 10+ yrs but doesn’t equal future sales. Sales to dealers part of figures given to public vs just retail.

Hybrids are way better than fully electric cars. No sane person would purchase a fully electric car. Toyota stocks will sore. It’s already happening. Look at ford tesla they are down. If Toyota keeps working on this hydrogen engine and succeed it will blow Tesla to the ground.

Yeah I would think that is why their debt has gone up so much
