Same with many products besides food too, the corporations get excessive tax breaks, and still that's enough for them, they have to give us lower quality products, less of it at jacked up prices. They are biting the hands that made them rich and they don't care.

Listen man, it’s both. Raising taxes causes corporations to raise prices to make up the difference. Quit raising taxes, spending money recklessly and care about your country. Maybe then you’ll see prices go down.

It's a free market. That's just what happens. The government doesn't put prices up. The government can take precautions and make restrictions, but the same morons shouting about gas prices are also screaming socialism every time the government tries to help
