Where do you usually hide? Please tell me so I know where to find y'all

People never look up. This is the third time this event is done but they never learn.

as a veteran windtrace player this is always my strategy its funny that its effective

The fact that the Hunter uses Scaramouche as the profile pic while Mockermay uses Raiden felt like a very funny coincidence because it feels like his creator managed to avoid him with ease.

A lot of people panic when the Hunter gets the Favor that reveals one particular person or all rebels and move frantically to reposition themselves hoping that in the window they are revealed the hunter doesn't catch up. What I like to do as the lone rebel and while the Hunter has just used the favor i'll stand still in a high place like this roof in particular and sometimes if the venue for the Windtrace has low ground obstructed by some buildings inbetween me and the hunter I'll stay there and because of the terrain the high ray of light can't be seen because it isn't mobile. I'll just, stand still and not move. This is because even if I can't see the Hunter, their movements are shown on the minimap. Very situational, I know, which is why being at a high point or behind obscuring buildings is important in this strategy. Just shut up and stand still. The ray of light that reveals you isn't really infinitely high and can be obscured. You'll be surprised to win atleast 800 windtrace coins per game with this. Even far easier with other uncaptured rebels as the Hunter usually prioritizes the moving rebels revealed by the favor almost always.

Lmao I used to do this at the kamisato estate Once, the hunter thought they lost me and stood there contemplating life when I was just right beside them on the opposite side of the roof. My anxiety was spiking

It's really easy to figure out that people usually hides on the top of any tall structure but to actually catch them while they're running away is a lot more difficult

I already won Faint Precense just by staying behind a rock I didn't know I was supposed to disguise

I was a hunter at the sangonomiya shrine and I didn't caught anyone, and there's this player who won without a disguise, I felt like a loser (already am) when the map was so small and I caught no one and didn't see the one who doesn't even have a disguise

I remember that on a specific map there was a specific house that could be used to juke the hunter like mad. Gooooood Times

I accidentally hide on the roof (I was panicked because I can't find any good place to hide), but ended up winning for hiding there with transparency lol

for the dawn winery i usually hide in the fields as a lamp or something and nobody caught me :)

I always do this, and that too with ma man Kaeya. It's hella fun! And mostly did it in Kamisato estate and that one liyue location(forgot the name). Sadly, we didn't get the former this time. This one Scaramouche hunter frustratingly said, "It's always the Kaeya or Childe mains. Always them."

On one of the newest maps, I managed to get into the floor while I was cramming behind a house in a place no character could be in. You could only get there with a small prop. There was some fencing surrounding the house, making it impossible to get in normally. Pretty sure the grass didn't have collision and I was on some surface under the map, barely peeking aboveground.

Same I did this first with Ayato since he’s too pretty to transform into a haystack or whatever but it was a better strategy than I thought and now it’s my go-to for this event lol

I did this except differently. The guy knew how to go on the roof so I just hid behind that stone design thing on the left side of the front of the Temple. I climbed up and just stayed midway in climb for the entire game. One time he jumped off the roof in the direction of me, but then glided away.

Idk, this is the perfect place for me to use kokomi, just stand there, and see if they even realize I'm not an npc lmao

Roofs are the best place to hide ‘cause it takes so long to get up them that by the time the Hunter decides to investigate the rooftops, you have plenty of time to go somewhere else. Did this the other day at the Qingce map; I bunked out on a rooftop, watching the Hunter climb the house across the map, so when they ran over to climb the tree to access my house, I turned invisible and went to the rooftop of the house they’d just checked

Wind Trace basic tactic number 1: always choose high places

I also survived here in Sangonomiya shrine without a disguise. But I hid beside the cliff instead of the rooftop. What's funny is I am not the only one who was hiding in that same place. I used Qiqi since she is small and my teammate was Childe. We panicked when the hunter used the favor and we were so ready to run if ever the hunter is near us but luckily, he didn't find us. We just stayed in that same place the whole time until the time ran out😂 That was a fun experience. Too bad I didn't get to screenshot that time because I was so anxious. Hoping to meet that player again

I was actually thinking of skipping this event even though it is my first time playing windtrace. Glad I finally tried it…I have a hard time finding the rebels though😅

This was my main strategy in previous events, but instead of a rooftop it was that one tree lower than anything else at the edge of Springvale Climb half way, keep the trunk between you & the hunter, invisibility when they get too close

Reminds me how I hid on top of dawn winery the noob didn't check the rooftop at all. I was literally hanging there the whole time.

It always worked for me, if they see me i just need to wait for them to climb up and i just run with invisibility and gliding to another place

Well there's also one in village where u can climb to the top using a small object

one time I used the disguise in the preparation phase... and not the actual game, but I still didn't get the faint presence

I know for a fact that whenever there's a high place to climb on ima get on it right away and try to juke out the rebel.

I just use Sayu and hide in thick bushes or hang on a wall with a tree next to it using the leaves to hide. It works surprisingly well.

on a sumeru map i climbed the highest building that shape like tower. and i climbing around the seeker circling arround the tower. Thats a funny match xD

lol! that's just I usually do too! go to highest and watch the hunter, but if the hunter is good at climbing higher places gotta hide somewhere then.

i did this today too- i used collei on a sumeru map (the one with the house castle idk) and i hid behind the huge castle house without any disguises like the nahida passed me 5 times and i even got marked with the beacon, one of my teammates were near and nahida captured them so i was scared she noticed me but no, it was so funny to watch xD

most working spot ive used was in the trees because usually people just ignore it

every god damn map there's that one qiqi who doesn't even use concealing beacons and wins without disguise they are scarier than the hunter sometimes when they suddenly appear beside you out of nowhere

I got this archivement too by using the one turn us invisible after setting a prop

Oh, I was just climbing on the side of the reef, obv location, and the hunter totally saw me there. But, no matter how many times they tried to catch me, the net area was just a little below me. I just stuck there the whole time, haven't been caught a single time... 🙃

In the shrine there is some random hole where you can throw the hiding totem and camp

Just find a high ground and you'll never lose as a rebel

If I were a hunter, I'd head straight for that location :)

lol i do something similar but i go very end of the shell just where my character fits and i never get caught

This is what I do too. Never used disguise. One game I used the invisibility thing just as the opponent came around a corner and it ended just after they passed me, but otherwise I havent used any of the special abilities.Using walls to break line of sight is the easiest option imo

I did this today on this map and I thought I was safe but the hunting Scaramouche literally teleported behind me

When I been a Rebel in this place I didn't use disguise, I climb to the tree and hide there, the Hunter didn't see me until when the favor appeared I take the favor and then the hunter suddenly came so I quickly use disguise (being the water plant idk what the name is it), fortunately he didn't see me, after the hunter's gone, I quietly returned to my hide place at the beginning (at the tree), until the time is 10 seconds left I came out from my hiding place and came to the hunter and I win as a the only one who survive from the hunter

My targets did that earlier XD I just happened to capture two because of them tried to get the favour and the other ran into my character

the conceal skill can actually let you win without disguise at all

i have done this just by standing at the top of dawn winery spire. some hunters doesnt even know how to climb the rooftop rofl.

There study explain that it not really a human nature to just look up. So hiding in a high place usually the best place.

I hid behind the shell (right in front of ur spot) as nahida (or any small chara)

theres a place on that area where even you use a location tracker as a hunter, the player won't show any location, i don't know why it didn't show and it's kinda cheating.

this and in bushes/cracks and people just seems blind lol

Since im bad at using disguises in this event i just dont use 'em at all, i just run and hide everytime (plus hide ability).

I know one spot to find rebel now, too bad I'm a 300ms player and the catch system doesn't work properly

Not many players know that you can just hang off buildings rather than getting on them

I use nahida and when I get to the dawn winery I climb a tree :)

I did this map for the first time like 2 days ago. And I could not find a single person. I bet they were all on the roof

I did this once and theres a diluc (hunter) running in circle and accidentally climb the tree and so he saw me and I got caught , this strategy is good ngl, tho but it's just hilarious how the diluc found me, it usually worked And once heizou (hunter) saw me but the fact that the heizou let me escape 😌👍

Why do people never looked up like there are some people who love to climb stuff like me for example I like to hide in high altitude mainly cuz I can get away by gliding

me just playing some windtrace with my friend: uh oh i am so done for all of the disguises are trash *literally hides on leafless tree with sayu* my friend: never looked up and passed me nearly 10 times and loses even though they used favor, and i never used a disguise, despite me telling them to look up before the round-

Dude. The chasm map I just stood on top of the light post on a box with the invisibility beacon. Now i might have been invisible but the box certainly wasn't. I won 6 games while getting favor each time standing there. You don't even need to try to win ;-; and that's when I stopped taking Windtrace or the genshin community seriously.
