During the last few months, the news has been coming in thick and fast in regards to the Power Universe from Power Book 2 Ghost being cancelled, Power Book 4 Force being cancelled which is Tommy Egan's show to Raising Kanan being renewed for Season 5 and the new show which will be centered around a young Ghost and Tommy which will be 'Power Origins' .. But, with the latest news in regards to Force being cancelled and considering there might have been a little clue in Power Book 2 Ghost Season 4 Episode 4, with a small mention of Tommy, which isn't the first. In Power Book 2 Ghost Season 4, there's been a number of references to Tommy and also Ghost, and I wonder, are they setting it up for Tommy to return in Power Ghost Season 4 at some point? So in this breakdown, I run through the news around Force being cancelled, but how Tommy could also be returning to the world of Ghost in New York in Power Book 2 Ghost at some point in Season 4.

When they first announced these spinoffs,I said they would all tie back to the OG Power and you would then have an entire universe of characters instead of trying to introduce them on one show. Tommy can now go to Chicago and we already know Diamond and Jennard or if the Tejadas pop up,we know their back story. I think Ghost will return and the show will take on a new tone than it did originally.

It doesn’t make sense for Tommy to return to NY for good since he’s supposed to be “dead” there so I do think he may go to Cali. Maybe Tariq and Effie will somehow make it to Cali with Effie doing her thing at Stanford and Tariq and Tommy working together….just my 2 cents 😂😂😂

Seems the audience for the show age limit has been getting younger. I do believe it hurting the franchise. If 50 move’s everything to his studio, we’ll be fine. (Starz can keep these current writers and 50 use Courtney’s from original Power). Tariq and Tommy teamup is great tv for the final season too lol.

I love that aspect of Tommy givin Riq that history lesson while showin him the street/ fighting side of the streets cuz he got the business side and hustle from Kanan, the finesse,swag,dialogue,look,ambition, attitude and let’s not forget his last name from ghost 👻. I think Tommy is so close to dominating Chicago. All he has to do is take out Miguels crew and then he controls all of the distribution in Chicago. He could put Diamond in charge of it and then expand CBI to another state? Just a theory. Seems weird for him to go to chicago build a massive empire, find family, and have a lover and then leave. I highly doubt it. He’s already been to jail, none of these murders trace back to him, there’s no evidence that points to him doing it, and prosecutors im sure are done chasing St Patrick’s cuz they always lose. Tariq made a lot of mistakes but he never should’ve been locked up in the first place. If anything Monet or Cane are going to jail. It’s been very long and overdue for one of them.

I remember last season in ghost tommy came back for a reason to kill Tasha. So in Force Season 3 a lot of things can happen like a war breaking out and Mireya possibly dying. When he talked to Tasha he had this look of concern on his face like he lost Mireya and a few soldiers in Chicago. Then when he talked to Tariq after stopping Monet it seemed like Tommy been through a lot in season 3 of force.

To cancel both shows, to then bring them back together w/o ghost is pointless. I’d watch it but still. It can’t be New York because technically both ghost and Tommy are suppose to be “dead”. Maybe taking it out to cali both would be able to be alive, Tariq would be able to learn the game from ghost, Effie would go to school and potentially I could see them bring in Diana into it somehow because of the baby. I hope something like that happens

@prestonpfeiffer I agree. Book 2 was not very strong. I did enjoy Davis, Cane, and Mecca. Noma does not make me want to watch. Neither do Effie, Diana, or Drew.

That definitely would be ideal for Tommy bc he always wanted his own family so that would bring his storyline full circle him finding Miraya and her being pregnant, it would be nice if Tariq helps him get her back and they bond with Diana and Miraya both having a baby at same time… but that’s wishful thinking power has no happy endings!!!!

I think for Tariq it’s a cool ending of this chapter, the Tejadas, I don’t think so. Many have overstayed their welcome without any sort of consequences and are due for major L’s they haven’t even taken yet. Cane will be on the run, Monet will get locked up, Dru will die, and Diana will probably survive.

I highly doubt it cuz they’d be bringing in less money from their money maker. Plus in 2 yrs there will only be Origins after RK ends after the 5th season. There’s definitely something bigger brewing for Tariq and Tommy and it’s coming sooner rather than later

@@LawrenceLeePost Hope so too. I think Ghost is just getting a salary reset cuz I can imagine how expensive that show is with the amount of A-list names, talent, and expensive props and wardrobes. Imagine OG Power with less big names when they first started.

I think Tommy should come back as a distro for Riq. Which would be perfect, because he can mentor him and Brayden. He doesn't have to be in every episode. They can work together. Riq can run new york and Tommy can build in California

I kinda see the full picture that they going for. Im thinking they gonna end off the shows first starting with Ghost then Force and then finishing Raising Kanan. Like with OG Power at the end of the of the last episode of season 6 they dropped the spin off mashup trailer so when they finish the final episode of Raising Kanan season 5 they probably show another set of spin offs at the Starting with power book 5 Origins and then Power Book 6 and 7 to be released during the next mash up trailer. This could be the route they taking

Force lost the plot when it dropped the designer drug angle. It would have examined the future - synthetic psychoactives and elevated the game to the antics of wealthier people..

I'm not sure if they can keep extending power forever because eventually people will have fatigue, as happens with all shows eventually. However, my big concern is that if the whole universe in the present day timeline (Not counting origins and raising kanan as they're prequels), ends with the cancellation of Ghost and Force, the endings will feel very rushed and abrupt. I can sort of feel that already in Season 4 of Ghost. Rumour has it that the show will end on a bit of an open note. If they aren't going to follow that up I'd be really disappointed.

It depends on a lot of different things especially with the writing and the story line. For example the young and the restless has been on the air for at least 50 years now with some brand new characters throughout the years. Do I think that power should go to 50 years? Not at all but I do think they have some pieces to where they can do a final show where each surviving character at the end of each book, can appear in one show together for maybe a season or 2.

@@24klogan86 May be another 5 years at most. Also, ageing is inevitable - you don't really see that many middle aged drug dealers, they're either dead or in jail as Ghost himself would've said it. So it would probably have to be with the younger cast that it continues. Or does it work differently in America? Over here in Europe, drug dealers like Monet, Tommy or even Kanan would barely exist due to their age.

It would make sense to have zion as the Segway to ghost and Tommy’s return as of now we don’t really know who zion is and how he knows ghost - what if Zion is ghosts brother? It was mentioned in an earlier season of the original power that ghost had a brother in the bar scene I think it was ghost uncle who revealed that. I would also like to see proctors daughter come back for revenge on Tommy

I too think that Tariq and Tommy will join forces. It would be dope if they ended up in Europe taking over Noma's turf and expanding. I keep going back to Influence being cancelled, and it was stated a spinoff of sorts in Europe. It would definitely put a different spin for Power. Seeing the difference between being in the drug game State side vs Europe. Do I think it'll happen? No, but one can dream.

With Tommys show ending...Tommy is going to be in future projects..Also I believe Tommy knows Ghost isn't dead. So will Tariq need Uncle Tommys help? Will Tommy need Tariqs help? Remember Tommy is supposed to be dead to New York..New York and Chicago haven't put it together yet???? Tariq is waaaay out of his league and Brayden is NOT Tommy, not even close...
