Sometimes people drift in different directions. I have my oldest daughter that got divorced a couple of years ago. I tried to help them and her husband bent over backwards for the kids. They have my other daughter as like a home life when they aren’t with their dad. She said she just didn’t love him anymore and I said you had two children together so you had to care at one point in the marriage. They are co parents and are nice to each other . I am happy they put their children first.

Just gonna throw this out there: I'm 70 now and just about everyone I've ever known faced the most difficult period in their lives sometime during their 30s. I'm speaking about individuals, and psychologically. I'm no exception, and my entire 30's were pretty rough until toward the end, and after 40 everything has seemed to steadily go uphill. So I'm passing that on for what it's worth. I do wish you both the best in whatever life brings you. And thanks for all the enjoyable and informative videos you did together!

Breaking up is not a failure, it’s a healthy and loving thing to do when you realize that you don’t want the same things. Staying together, being miserable and resenting each other, because you’re afraid of change, that comes closer to failure. You will always be family to each other, and that’s a beautiful thing.

The most HONEST VIDEO I've ever seen. Thank you so much. Incredibly rare. Your bravery is exemplary. This is why KZfaq or social media in general is so much better than commercial media. You will NEVER get this kind of honesty on main stream media. I understand both sides of your dilemna. Neither one of you is wrong. You must go where your hearts lead. To do anything else leads to huge regrets at the end of your life. I am 68 years old, and trust me when I tell you that there is nothing worse than to get to the end of your life with huge regrets. You are doing the right thing. It may hurt temporarily, but you must remain true to your inner heart's feelings, even when it leads to pain. You must stay true to yourself. My child has grown. My wife has passed. At first we decided to have no children. I had a vascectomy. Later, we decided to adopt. I regret neither decision. They were both "right" at that time of our lives. Now I have 8 grandchildren and I have no regrets. That is the most important thing. There are no "wrong" decisions; only "honest or true" decisions. Thank you so much for having the guts to make this video. It restores my faith in humanity...that most people are not extremists, as the media would like you to believe, but that most people are "normal" and have the same problems, desires, and struggles that you and I have. In the end, we are all a lot more alike, than we are different. And that gives me hope. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

IMO they were too close to each other all the time in a foreign place & different culture without friends. For a healthy relationship distance is important. If someone start focusing 100% on the individual plans forgetting the fun & liberty felt in the relationship, breakup happens. I wish the best for them but i think compromise & sacrifice is part of a good committed relationship which is becoming less common these days. We as humanity suffering from the highest levels of individualism & Narcissism these days sad but true and we all know it. I wish the best happens for both.

@@GUITARTIME2024 true. I didn’t seek out having kids and life just isn’t working that direction and I was just thinking I might start regretting and now I am just leaning towards being content with life as it is. I already know the negatives, so I am okay. I helped raise other people’s kids and when I stayed overnight, responsible for another life 24/7, I would get sick! The worry is insane. It made me physically ill. That’s definitely not something I would want constantly. Also I just couldn’t afford to have kids. But I was okay either way, and so life is still good either way.

By the way, as a lawyer who has practiced in both family law and small business law, let me say that the only way this will work is if you can look each other in the eye and say there will be no bitterness, jealousy, or resentment, ever. Also, it is important to have a written partnership agreement. If nothing else it will delineate your respective rights, obligations and day-to day responsibilities so there is no misunderstanding later as to what was agreed upon. You guys have been at this long enough that I'm sure you can foresee a lot of the potential issues. You don't even need a lawyer. Just do some research. I've only recently started watching your videos on the recommendation of a friend, but have already found them helpful. I'm honestly very impressed with the level of maturity you are both displaying. As a single mom whose ex was completely irresponsible, I can tell you that if your spouse thinks he wants kids and realizes afterwards he would rather be living the life of a single guy with no responsibilities, it is beyond devastating for the kids they abandon. I wouldn't trade having kids for the world, but if it's not what makes your heart light up, then it's not something you can do to please another person. I'm sorry that you're going through this difficult time, but encouraged to see two wonderful people genuinely caring enough to really honor the other individual and their needs and desires. The only failure I see is if you stay in a relationship where you’re both miserable. Til death do us part is great if you both love each other and enjoy each other. But to follow some rule just out of tradition or fear seems like a recipe for misery. Also just my opinion

Having kids will change your life forever and in a very positive way. I almost did not have kids, I am so glad we did. I can't imagine life without our son. Living to 80 or so with no kids could get pretty lonely. Best wishes to both of you.

Speaking from my own experience not having kids seemed no big deal when we were young. Being in your 40's going forward with no kids is no fun at all. An old age with no family can be very lonely.

It can be lonely if you don't value your own solitude. Yet if you do enjoy spending time with yourself-you see not having kids as a major BLESSING. It is fun, I travel all the time. And I have lots of kids in my life because I have a big family, therefore I don't need to have any of my own. Plus you can adopt if you want and support children charities.

Im totally with you. Not having kids is no big deal IF you dont want them, but if you do that is a problem. Most people regret not having kids when they are old and have no one to be there for them. People can act like this isnt important, but most will have their children and grandkids to enrich their lives. If you can be satisfied with having friends and extended family then fine, but thats not the same as your own offspring that will likely love you enough to be there for you. And it is very flippant and rude for someone to say "get a pet." Or "just adopt". Why dont most married people do that? It is natural to want your own offspring like most everyone else has (if it is what you wanted).

Thank you for posting this. I am 37 years young and my boyfriend is 30. I have not, do not, and there's a good chance I will not have a desire to have children. My boyfriend has some genes in his family that he would rather not pass on but he seems like he is more open to adopting in the far future than me. I just can't picture myself at 45 years old adopting a child. This issue is an elephant that isn't really in the room because it doesn't get brought up a lot but maybe in the attic.

Tangerine Travels, dropping completely unexpected news bombs on us 💣 Wow! This is a lot to process... First off, I'm so sorry to hear that this happened. My heart breaks for both of you. 💔 This must be incredibly difficult thing to process, let alone share with your friends, family and thousands of subscribers. As a loyal viewer and subscriber, over the past few years, I can honestly say, you guys changed my life. You both helped me to discover my own country. As a Mexican American, living in the US, I had the same narrow mindedness and prejudices that everyone around the world has about Mexico. Your adventures (along with a bunch of other KZfaqrs) helped me rediscover my own land and I completely reevaluate my views. Your videos were a sense of comfort and made me long to go back to a place I don't know. And now, I am looking forward to the day where I can go visit all those beautiful & magical places that you guys have visited. So yes, I will continue to support both of you, in which ever endeavor it might take. Also this might a great time for Tangerine Travels reinvent itself and become something new and exciting. You both deserve to be happy and now that you're both free, who knows what blessings the universe has in stored for both of you. IMO, take some time off and refocus on yourselves. Both of you should take some time off, to process and heal. After all, we're still in the middle of a pandemic and we're not going anywhere any time soon. Love you guys! 🤗 ❤
