Seasons in Gainesville...9 months of very hot, 2 months of less hot, but still hot, 1 week of cold, 3 weeks of pretty nice and comfortable weather. So you have that nice 3 week season every year where it's pleasant.

What kind of wildlife do you see tubing at the springs?

At the actual springs we've come across snakes but if you are tubing down the river there could be gators and gars. Tons of turtles, possibly otters. I believe the water at the springs may be colder than gators like but it's good to always be aware of your surroundings.

Are there any Cement Block home developments for $300k with a .25 size lot. Would like to be around 30 min or less from the VA HOSPITAL. Willing to buy an older home that's in good shape. Planning to move to Gainesville next year or earlier if possible if wife gets early retirement. Wanting to get familiar with the area. Looking for 2br or 3 br 2car garage CEMENT BLOCK with patio if possible on .25 ACRES. Looking forward to hearing from you Donavan. Charles & Rosemary

Why? WHY?! What the hell is wrong with you? Do not do it. I live here, I have lived here for two years, and I THANKFULLY just signed a lease in Denver to get the fuck out of here. It is the worst decision I have ever made to move to this city. I can't get that time back. I was utter stagnation living here and for a good portion of that time, I couldn't afford to leave. I finally got the money together and I am thankfully escaping. Do not do it.

I am visiting Gainesville in April and May....can u tell me how to reach Gainesville from Orlando International Airport? Any local transport app for info? Any public transport?

Thanks for watching! Are you looking for options under $300k? Newberry, Alachua and High Springs are common options for people who want a few acres. You could also check east of Gainesville around Hawthorne.
