I actually really REALLY disliked Meruem and 90% of the ant arc. They felt like they trampled all over the importance of the power system of Nen as a whole, and what it means to use the various styles. Additionally, having the old man turn evil at the last minute was completely out of left field, and felt very forced. That all being said, the one thing I did like about Meruem was his dynamic and growth with the blind girl. If it wasn't for that I probably would have dropped the show entirely.
