Gohan was my favourite character in dbz he was amazing in the saiyan saga and went to war on namek. He would hit his peak in the cell saga. His ssj 2 transformation and father son kamehameha wave still gives me chills. I was hoping gohan would play a big role in the new movie but I don't think it's going to happen. I glad to see that this gohan is still much loved

SSJ2 Gohan is Awesome. The amount of damage he did to Perfect Cell Physically and especially Mentally was a sight to behold. Also it was he need to find his inner warrior that made it all the more memorable.

It was a coming-of-age story for Gohan in this arc. Him truly believing in himself. That's why I love this Gohan.

I got ss2 teen gohan tattooed on my back. He always represented a Smart kid, but a loyal kid. He had the power to destroy the world, but also save it. A young boy who had dreams of his own but everyone around him, wanted him to be something else.. if you messed with the ones he loved, he'd mess you up. I also like how open minded he is. He seems to get along with everyone. My favorite character

is nobody going to bring up the fact that ssj2 gohan is such a badass that, cell made 7 cell jrs and ssj2 gohan killed 8 cell jrs??? I have 2 watched that part of him decimating cell jrs so many times and i have counted, he kills 8 of them

Uh...last I checked, there were 7 Cell Jr's. One for each of the other Z-fighters. Goku, Piccolo, Vegeta, Trunks, Krillin, Tien, and Yamcha. Cell never created an 8th one for Gohan because he wanted Gohan to watch as his friends were getting the shit kicked out of them. And he didn't make one for Android 16 because Cell had already blown 16's body to bits at that point.

@@cjkalandek996 correct however, if you count how many Gohan kills(actually exploding) he kills 8, however this is also my knowledge on the anime alone, it could have been the writers playing up Gohans power or what have you but in the anime, Gohan kills 8 cell jrs

for me "teen" Gohan is the best simply for the fact that Goku recognized and acknowledged Gohan was stronger than him at the time. Which is what super needs to do is give other characters the shine and beat a villian.

That ep centered around Gohan's Bday was so Good. It really shows you that this kid just wants to save his family and friends. Like Goku also wants that but he's a Saiyan. He likes to fight while Gohan doesn't. Gohan just wants to protect and even makes the Bday for The Power to save the Earth. That's such beautiful character development.

His ssj2 transformation scene in the anime is so epic. The music, the atmosphere, the emotion and the stakes were so perfect. I could watch that any day and not be tired of it.

Yeah I was thinking the Japanese version more than the dub but Bruce falconers score was pretty good too. Loved the metal guitar riffs. But Unmei no hi is a way better to me personally.

He's now an accomplished scholar, a great husband and father. He told his father after he sparred with him that he'll attain a greater power his own way. During Resurrection F he realized he has to become stronger to protect the ones he loves and cares for. He knows that Goku and Vegeta can't always be there to protect everyone so he now has to gain power. I hope in this movie he'll have a spotlight or in the next arc to come.

@@kumaraditya7372 Goku did trained Gohan. In the hyperbolic time chamber he had already realized that Gohan surpassed him. He doesn't need to train him because he realized Gohan at one moment he had already turned super saiyan while training with him. That's also why he was so confident in his son when he fought Cell. Gohan was already so far advanced than Goku at that point even Goku couldn't keep up. Then while Gohan was watching Goku fight Cell he noticed how he was analyzing the fight the whole time. That's why he doesn't even need to train Gohan because he's a prodigy in his own way and style of fighting. Now we haven't seen much of Goten and Trunks but obviously they're both prodigies themselves. That Saiyan part in them fuels that energy and the human emotion part in them enhances it even more that's why when Gohan snapped against Cell he finally released those emotions. So we might see that with Pan.

The best scene in Dragonball IMO is when the narrator makes a rare statement during the middle of the show, expressing Cell's fear in antagonizing Gohan. And then we see Gohan's first Kamehameha, and man that shit gives you chills

Growing up, I always felt like Gohan’s SSJ2 transformation was more iconic than Goku’s SSJ transformation because of how the writers wanted to build up Gohan into this great warrior from day 1 and now that warrior has arrived.

For me SSJ2 Gohan was soo awesome because of how he was “triggered” into transforming. The loss of a friend allowed him to let go of the fear he had and want to get revenge. He was the most human character at the time in that regard.

@@sidecharacter3193 the Frieza saga was great, but it dragged a bit IMHO. Towards the end, I started to grow tired with Namek's blue grass and green sky lol. The fact that the Cell saga took place on Earth gave it's story more meaning and weight, because it was in the environment and with the characters we know and love.

The show repeatedly teased Gohan's hidden potential since the Raditz fight. When he finally unlocked it during the Cell Games, the buildup made it all worth it. The dude became a monster.

SSJ2 Gohan vs Cell was peak Dragonball for me. Some people might say Goku vs Frieza but for me seeing Gohan grow up and surpass his father was masterful writing.

the first timeI seen the scene when Gohan lost it and turned SS2 on cell was and stil is BY FAR the scene that drew more emotion out of me than any other scene in dragonball history. his reponse to not just his friends and father being hurt by the cell jr's, but what cell did to android 16 in front of him, and the triggered response from gohan in that moment. I have said so many times in comments on gohan SS2 videos on youtube over the years that it has always been my #1 most favorite scene of all time in dbz history.

Gohan is relatable to everyone who doesn't like to fight but is pushed into being a monster. When he got mad, villains got hurt. Raditz, Cell Jr's, Cell, Bojack and his squad. You just felt like man don't piss him off and then maybe it was just Toriyama or maybe the fans pushed his mind that way but Gohan was nerfed. He looked good past episode 88 of Super and kind of looks good in the Moro arc. They just left him and the Z fighters behind and made it the Goku and Vegeta show. Hope this new movie brings him back to somewhat of important

@@MegaShingo97 His ultimate form draws out all of gohans power without stanima drains so raging out wouldn't increase his power. Just as going SSJ wouldn't increase his power either. HIs ultimate form is some crazy hax ability. Only way i see for him to get stronger is to learn god ki and amp it with the ultimate ability.

@@codex8450 At the moment and from what was explained it actually is. Its probably the reason why he hasn't gotten a new form even after training and going into the TOP. His strongest form is still his ultimate form and he is kind rejecting saiyan power. His saiyan biology with the zenkai's and adaptation will still allow him to grow but he has no need for transformations. If his body is capable of doing more the forms multiplier will increase accordingly so its not a form with a set multiplier it just draws out what ever his max potiential is at the time.

While I do love SSJ2 Gohan, but I do love more the moment when he went Super Saiyan 2, its not like Goku peaking in anger and slowly turning super saiyan, but its Gohan literally exploding in anger and sadness, who is screaming in power.

IMO: if you watch all of DBZ (filler episodes and movie) back then, the show always made it seem like Gohan was main character instead of Goku. Goku was barely around and Gohan was the focus of a lot episodes. So when he transformed into SSJ2, it felt like a passing of the torch moment in the best way possible. Gohan was now the strongest and the protector of Earth.

I'd love to see an arc where videl and pan are in trouble or something and Gohan loses it and turns savage like that again. Maybe even give him a boost that surpasses goku and vegeta, even if just for a short time while he's pissed.

Gohan is my favourite character. I always loved that he doesn't like fighting that much but he is kinda forced for the sake of his friends. And also that he always had potential. With not much training he reaches new levels.

I grew up starting Z so I grew to love gohan, I later watch dragon ball, but I loved gohan build up to the cell saga and to this day ssj2 gohan is my favorite character to this day

what i loved about ssj2 Gohan was the ferocity. We basically saw Gohan become a saiyan. Blood thirsty and all. I mean when they said that the super saiyan is the strongest and most blood thirsty warrior in the universe, I felt that was Gohan. I mean that was just perfect. For a time i called Gohan's Super Saiyan 2. The true super Saiyan. Not until i heard it's name later on In the buu saga.

I think the reason I love SSJ2 Gohan is because he actually had a really good character arc that hinted at the possibility of him surpassing everyone. Seeing it come to fruition with Goku literally handing him the reigns and saying "I can't beat Cell, but you can." was the climax of an awesome character progression for Gohan. Then we got Saiyaman.

I think I storytelling ppl really like when things are established, set up , and paid off in a brilliant way and gohan unleashing his power after being teased and built up since his introduction was powerful. Also in dragon ball it's very satisfying when a character powers up and then completely dominates another character. I felt like z was always as much a gohans story in the making as it was gokus and if z would have ended right after cell I would have been OK with that.

I remember coming home from school and watching DBZ on toonami man the nestalga back then super hype time, and I always thought that Gohan was supposed to be stronger than Goku because of his hybrid blood that's what I thought the story was supposed to be. But I can see other points of view even if it doesn't coenside with my opinion

Great Video! Respect! That's mostly why, the reason why Gohan is and has always been my favorite dbz character from all the way back in 94 up to this day. If you take out Gohan out of dbz storyline, in my point of view, the story would mostly break down apart. I think that's the reason why super is not as great as dbz... It's not only due the lack of violence or shit, it's because they put aside one of the most iconical character that has ever existed in db. Gohan is someone to be acknowledged and respected, but most important, learn life lessons with him. That's what I had to say, great video btw, make more content like this one even if takes you longer to come up with material such as this one, it's worth it. I doubt that there would be a db fan out there that would dislike a content such as this one. It's great! Keep'em coming ;)

The reason SS2 Gohan is my favorite, is because at that time, he was literally seemingly invincible, no weaknesses, no fear, propped up by goku, and I remember Vegeta looking a little salty. Up until that point all the main characters were 50/50 toss ups in a fight, vegeta was a BA but got his energy absorbed and lost, trunks was BA but couldn't finish the androids, Goku was awesome, but still kinda lost to Frieza until he went SS, there was never a SURE fight, never a SURE victor, until SS2 Gohan emerged. He represented an unstoppable, unbeatable relentless force of fury and confidence and strength that has never been shown again since, even UI goku struggled against say Ultimate Jiren. SS2 Gohan was portrayed as the BEST-STRONGEST-unbelievably unbeatable. Thats the mentality anyone needs going into any sort of competition. From the go, you can't even touch him, 25-0 in Halo double team unbeatable. Mark it up with hype or whatever you want, the fact is nobody has been that dominant in the DBZ universe, at least nobody left that same kid of impression on me. Gohan was unrealized untapped potential that finally came to fruition when we needed it most, he represents the coward in all of us, he represents the kids who got bullied iin HS, but then emerged in college or later in life. He represents the underdog, he eventually become unstoppable. THATS SS2 GOHAN!!!!! So much more than just a 'BA', so much more than just a 9-11 kid who's stronger the goku. GOHAN is the TRUTH!! THE ANSWER! THE ALPHA AND OMEGA!! GOHAN is just GOHAN!! And that will always be.

Anyways, love SS2 Gohan because it was the culmination of what had been foreshadowed for basically the entire series. As a kid back in the day, I was seriously wondering if the whole Gohan's-hidden-potential thing had been played out and forgotten after Namek and Garlic Jr., but nope, Gohan comes right back and nails Cell to the wall.

SS2 Gohan was the epitome of good long-term storytelling. The tease forever that he had some substantial potential and then seeing it come out was incredible. The shift from the hero being Goku was great and I was excited to see what they would do with it.

My reason for liking this gohan is not only is this the most savage gohan being apart of one the best scenes of the show but also watching this for the first time it seeks gohan is about to take the rain and not only that but gohan earned this form not saying he didn’t earn his other power but unlike ultimate gohan we see gohan train hard in this arc and in the previous arcs and always got glimpses of his potential it was well earned transformation with great buildup and a iconic scene and fight overall

Others have said it but the main reason everyone loved SSJ2 Gohan is because we finally saw Gohan harness his power. He was teased to be "the one" in Z, and we finally saw it, and he was an absolute TANK. It just delivered beyond expectation on a promise that was long overdue. Best character ever.

i was working on a version of the old school Bid For Power v1.2 mod for quake 3 way back in the day... i had to completely remodel ssj2 kid gohan from the hair, the legs that had to be resized and shape from the piccolo legs model, so it would fit for the small upper body... .... then... i even made my own custom ruedamentary lightning effect on the skin itself as a shader that ran in animation all over the body and hair... man i loved that game. real talk i remade alot of the original models the artists did from every where. recorded all the shaders and reordered all the lineups of the attack sets. full with multi level transformations so that their muscles would bulk up and have the proper hair and lightning effects... i meai put like 10 years worth of work on that project. i ended up with like over 220+ skins and transformations in total. and this was way before the ZEQ2 version of it came out way later. I never got to completely finish it fully, cause life and all... But I DO INDEED STILL HAVE IT 💯 I gotta sort thru and pack up all the parts for it that's on one of my hard drives somewhere. If anyone is interested... ill get it all together and release it in it's unfinished version. let me know people. luv ya Danny!

How strong will Pan become? We know that the number of S-cells increases after a generation meaning that the child's potential is higher than their parents. That is if the parent is a super saiyan. So will Pan have even more potential than Gohan? Edit*, Can Pan inherit Gohan's anger boost too? I think that would be awesome.

Originally it was supposed to be a form unique to only gohan, the manifestation of his rage in super Saiyan form buttt then the buu saga came along

@@aperson3723 I've always felt it should've been unique only to Gohan. In fact, I think every Saiyan character should have a Super Saiyan transformation unique only to them. And _Dragon Ball Super_ gave us something sort of like that, with Goku's Kaio-Ken Super Saiyan Blue, Vegeta's Super Saiyan Royal Blue, Trunks' Super Saiyan Rage, and Goku Black's Super Saiyan Rose.
