Ta Lou rightfully deserves her flowers and I’m happy that JA’cans gave it to her. In another era, Ta Lou would’ve been a highly decorated sprinter like her peers. Unfortunately, she’s competing in an era with the four of the top fastest female sprinters of all time. Not to be outdone, she still has the 6th fastest time in history and holds the title as the fastest African female sprinter ever. So yes she deserves MUCH respect not only for her athletic prowess but also for her graciousness on and off the track- even in the face of defeat.

I think we missed paying attention to TaLou’s knee lifts. Her knee lifts resembles that of Carmelita Jeter and M. Green. And they were sustained through the finish line. No more grimace on her face through the last 40 meters, she was relaxed. That is interesting!!

I agree with you in terms of the African connection but in addition she has an endearing personality that appeals to the Jamaican people plus she treats our athletes well when they’re abroad so we treat her good when she come into our home

Well, well, well, the Maverick hits the nail on the head. Jamaican loves almost everything that's African. I have seen a few comments where persons, Jamaicans, had stated that they would like Talou to get a medal even if it means that one of the Jamaicans ladies have to lose it to her.
