@Wode Maya if I can contact you on Whatsapp so that I can really ask some more in-depth questions about trying to move with a child with such issues. Please let me know and I can send you my info or you mind in an email or something. Thanks and I want you to know that I love the questions you ask. It seems that some people don't want to ask some of the more detailed or intricate questions that can be personal or tricky but you do and I want to thank you for all you do.

I am not African but I’m so glad to see Africans in the west returning to their motherland. Just because your ancestors were forcefully taken as slaves to the Americas doesn’t mean that you have to permanently stay there and put up with racism and all the other persecution that comes with it. Africa is big enough to accommodate all the diaspora around the world. Come and embrace the culture and beauty of your ancestral land. God gave you this land and put you there for a reason. Africa is good for you and you are good for Africa. A partnership made in heaven.

That sister in the gold dress who was talking about how Africans continuously traveled abroad over and over without any change in the family dynamic hit it right on the nail. What she was pointing at is that we as Africans need to build generational wealth here at home so that the whole family generation do not have the need to travel abroad chasing the American dream.

Interesting! These words stand out. "We built that country, but we built it for others". This is the dilemma of our sons and daughters abroad! They built the western world with their sweats and brains. Our bests were taken away and used to develop the western world. Slave traders picked the strongest, sharpest and most resilient.... Now, their descendants are only allowed crumbs. It is indeed time to come home. The homeland needs building. Come join us here to build Africa! It is still virgin........ We welcome you with open arms! Thanks Wode, for your continuous spotlight on this exodus that really needs to continue.....It has started already!

You mean out of all African countries? I think many diasporans like that they can easily set up shop in Gambia because it is not yet full of Foreign corporations, companies and businesses to the max like other African nations. Gambia is a small population with so many opportunities so I see it as the way Dubai was before it became so popular because of all the potential for growth and that desert vibe there. Also I think they see each other on KZfaq and most of them follow each other. The trend has mostly been Gambia, Ghana, Tanzania(started because many wanted freedom from pandemic), Rwanda, Kenya and some Uganda& Ethiopia and others Senegal. These were the most chosen. Most of the movement now is heading towards Namibia and Zambia. As they see each other arrive and settle…they follow each other.

I was in Johannesburg in 2017 and was headed to Uganda in late June but had to cancel. As a Caribbean born person, who grew up in the U.S., this country is overtly overrated. Yes, as the sistah stated, you get caught up in the rat race and become trapped. When I get done with my life as an elected official, I am looking forward to settling in one of the countries on my list (i.e. Ghana, Tanzania, Gambia, Rwanda, Namibia). I would love to visit the others before it is time to retire. Africa may have its problems, yes, but so does America. The difference is that America amplifies Africa's shortcomings, while hiding ours. So, Africans think life is like the Kardashians or Housewives. Not it is not, and this is the false promotion many of our brothers and sisters get. If you wish to come, come. No one will stop you, but come with an open mind and do not give up any of your property thinking the grass is greener on the other side. You will be a Black person in a racist white system, and they will let you know it. The system will remined you of who you are.

They said it all, there is nothing left to be said, a word to the wise is enough. Africa in many countries might not have the four to a five-lane highway you find in the US, intermittent power supply, things not well structured, and a lot of gaps to get things done. But despite these aberrations, the environment is ripe to do anything you want to pursue. The communities are so peaceful the people are so loving and have respect for humanity, your sanity will be restored without any therapy. Africa is home, the west is paying for convenience unabated with nothing to show forth but stress and Heart Ache, at the end you die with so much sorry and unfulfilled dream to your grave.

Perhaps you can start by telling your family that your "dream" is for the family to do a vacation somewhere in Africa. Research which country you want to visit and present it to them. And even if there's a lack of interest and some resistance to the idea, don't give up. So many of us have no desire to visit Africa because of the lies we've been told. So it may take a little time to convince them. Good luck!

Many of us whom are awoke want to come home to Africa but like she said the cost of the move is just too much for us as we live paycheck to paycheck in America. Most Americans live with so many bills that their true spending cash on hand is right about $200 a month or less. Get one speeding ticked or even a parking ticket and there goes everything you managed to save up for half a year. They do this in order so they have a slave population that can just afford to come to work but not enough to escape their system of enslavement as they know full well if their system doesn't have someone working as a slave their system collapses.

This is so disappointing, I vividly remember the goodbye greetings I had with my best friend who left to America, it has been 10yrs down the line and he has never come back, we only communicate via a phone.

Thanks for sharing this POWERFUL story of African Americans living their best life. This is my first- time commenting on your videos (I love to watch them I believe in the work you are doing) this has moved me to say thank you for showing me how mighty and truly blessed Africa is. I will be in Ghana July 2022 for 15 days with a group of 45 others. Be safe, be blessed and continue by God's grace providing though provoking content🙏.

Thank you soo Much for allowing us to give "Herstory." We are Mothers, Daughters, Wives and Aunties that have returned to the Motherland. I watched this expertly constructed video and felt all the emotion and your Sincerity. I've said it before and I'll say it again YOU are "The African Ambassador to the African Diaspora, 6th Region." Next time you and Sis. Trudy or any of your 'High Vibration' fans/family come to the Gambia you will receive a warm welcome from Me @ WN WN!

Hey Wode Maya, I wanna congratulate you for the way you handled this video. MACTURED. You didn't talk much but allowed the panelist to share their experiences by themselves. Wao. Keep it up !!! You were really calm and listened more. I am sure I am not the only one who noticed this.
