Appreciate your positivity, but this video is out of touch. How about sharing how people can become wealthy like you? The large population centers in California are prohibitively expensive for the average American family. Then again, Disneyland, which you use as a metaphor, is also ridiculously expensive. If you want to be an entrepreneur in Silicon Valley, you better already be wealthy or already have venture investment secured.

Farmers market are usually 2-3$ more expensive in california (idk about other states), even if the food is in season. As a Californian, I’ll say this for anyone who’s thinking of coming here California is nice if you have money. Choose the right location and your set for life. It’s a wonderful place with high paying jobs and beautiful vacation spots. If you want to live here, location is everything. I would not suggest living close or in LA currently. However, California also has high crime rates. Especially Southern California. I would honestly say to choose to live in the suburbs and no where near the city. But most high paying jobs are in the city so there’s that. I live in northern Cali and think it’s much better than southern Cali. (Although northern Cali is slightly more expensive). The air here is nice and we have great weather. Overall, location and money is everything that matters in Cali. We do have high paying jobs but you have to go to college for most of those and colleges here are pretty expensive. I would not suggest living in cali right now but feel free to if you want

My husband and I came to America as refugees when we were young. People who have lived here their entire lives sometimes forget how good they have it. And that's not to say it's easy to live here when you don't want to work for the life you want. But people forget to live within your means sometimes and that's what can get them into trouble. We have poverty all over the entire world, but at least in America you have more of a chance to pick yourself up and start over. We also have found people very welcoming. But that also depends on what lenses you see the world with and if you're willing to not have bias towards others.

As a kid I always wanted to move to America, then I learned about the awful road design the the missing middle house problem and I completely changed my mind especially now with covid. My home country is better and If I needed to I can always just work from home

These highlights are definitely *wonderful* don't get me wrong; however, not everyone has access to farmers market food, nice weather in states like California, or the ability to travel wherever is best for their career path. That requires a *lot* of money; especially California housing and farmers market food (but that bit is mainly relative to where I live). And, not everyone is welcome everywhere; that's more a of a pacific northwest thing. Still, it's awesome to see people having fun in America!

Good for you that you like it over there! For me unfortunately staying in the US as a volunteer just made me never want to come back and appreciating what I have back in Germany even more. But I really can agree that you’re welcomed everywhere and I really liked how open and nice everyone was towards me.

Hi, I am thinking about the place to move to, and considering us. However, it’s easier for me to stay in Europe since I’m Romanian. What was the main thing that made you come back from us to Germany? Is it really as bad as this comments say lol

@@Wilson_Cool Well, this really depends on what person you are. If you're having big dreams the US might be something for you. And I found the people to be very nice to me. But I was honestly disgusted how merciless their economic and political system is. E.g. I was fired from my volunteering position partially because I took more sick days for the flu than I negotiated in my contract. Before I wasn't aware that there were limited days you could take off for being sick. Worker's law depending on the state is almost non-existent: no mandatory vacation days, no sick days, no mandatory health insurance, no overtime limit, no nothing. If something happens to you in Germany you can be sure to have medical support and a minimum income regardless the circumstances; not in the US, there you're literally out on the street. It's a very market capitalist enviroment while we live in a social market economy. You might like that, because it could enables you to make a career and a good living. But I value that there's a social system put in place in Europe that helps me if I struggle. Furthermore public transportation is non-existent and I don't like the consumeristic attitute of the American society.
