Authorities in DR Congo say at least three American citizens were involved in a coup attempt that DR Congo's defence forces thwarted on Sunday. The armed men had attacked the Presidential Palace. The plan was also to attack the homes of top politicians. Gravitas brings you the full story.

Look at my country Somalia, foreign forces are dividing my people and they have formed coalitions. They are making us fight each using food, aid, money, etc. Turkey, USA, UAE Arabs, Europe and many more all have interests in my country. I cry for my country.

Because one or two American men were swept up amongst those rounded up as culprits is not evidence to support an assertion that Washington was involved.
