Egyptian, Roman , Native American all are dead civilisation, only history . Abrahmic faith has taken over , it was not allowed in India .inspite of barbarism our ancestors took lot of pain to keep this culture alive . Our leaders kept fighting for more than a thousand year . There wasn’t an era that passed without some or the other king , queen or tribal hero who didn’t step up to keep the fight alive . I respect this passion and struggle of our ancestors that kept this culture alive .

Hemanshu Bangera yes there is no village without a female deity worship here in Karnataka. The Dasara celebration is all about feminine energy being celebrated. Even Bharatha is seen as Maatha ( goddess - mother ) . Even Karnataka is depicted as feminine . Chamundeshwari is the state goddess who is celebrated during Dasara by the CM .

In our utkala culture ( odia culture ) each and every village has it's own Devi temple called grama devati. Our odia culture has many similarities with south Indian culture.

hinduism is the platform of Buddhism and Sikhism.. and u can see how both are quite opposite in nature. and yet similar ..even in ancient times hinduism saw and worship females... Sikhism was created to tackle mughals so aspects like sacrifice, valour was made prominent

..as most women experience through childbearing where we learn about the ‘inhuman’ strength that has been instilled into us by mother earth. In my language the word for woman has the earth as root..The same culture being in Old Europe women were worshipped as the image of the Goddess thousands of years ago. These women ruled in relative peace together with men. But sadly somewhere in the course of the history our men found out about swords and weapons. From that moment on agression and destruction came upon the earth..And her daughters..I still hope that the balance of feminine and masculine will be restored again, for the sake of the future generations and our planet.

@@NoGreaterLove_3 I would beg to disagree with that partly. Because if we look into the ancient times or the mythologies we see them filled with female heroes and warriors. Well not as many as men but still quite a lot. Which somehow drastically changes in the medieval period when participation of women in anything other than household work gets heavily criticized. Strange turn of events which is also unfortunate at the same time.

4:18 It is true. I m from Gujarat. Gazni came to Gujarat he looted Gujarat millions of devi Temples. Our devi temple has been destroyed so we have to move towards south Gujarat. Lots of Brahmin from peshawar, karachi and lahore cities settled in South Gujarat. 2 lakhs women & children has been slaved and sent to Gahzanvi city of Afghanistan. At that time Even ghazanvi city looks like a Gujarati city. So Afghanistan population has Gujarati & Israeli DNA.

The temple was burned 17 times but arose each time...beautiful. That's how women have been treated for centuries: broken down but we came back again. The fact is that women hold the immense power of being able to physically bring forth the next generation, and that strength is threatening. BUT. With respect to Abrahamic religions, if you can make women believe that they're less than, impure, or worthless, they can be easily controlled and that's how all sorts of abusive practices come to pass and even justified. I'm grateful that many positive changes toward equality have happened and I'm alive to experience it, but I wish we as a society could realize how equally important and powerful both men AND women are--that it doesn't have to be a competition but respectful acknowledgement of each other. What a world that would be.
