For anyone who wants the real answer, the pressure at the depth of the titanic is 2.9 metric TONNES per square inch. The upmost the human body can handle before literally crushing is 700 POUNDS per square inch. The bodies were a fine pink mist (bones and all) before the ship even hits the seafloor. Tell me you don’t know what you’re talking about, without telling me you don’t know what you’re talking about… Cold, water, and pressure preserve bodies LONGER than any other medium. You just have to look at the recent case of a body they found in a barrel at the bottom of Lake Ontario. The body was dated to a missing persons case from 1973, and his skin was quite literally still INTACT. So well preserved in fact that they were able to Identify the man AT THE SCENE based on the picture on his licence in his wallet. He spent literally fifty YEARS underwater and his body was identified through imagery, and not DNA. But you’re saying the cold is what caused it to happen faster? No, that’s straight up wrong, way to lie to your viewers.

That's interesting, but then wouldn't the titanic itself have caved in if the pressure is that high? I imagined that the bodies would just fill up with water like a balloon and explode into tiny particles, it's along the same lines I guess
@AfromanRants
@AfromanRants 11 ай бұрын
@@jamaalshaikh122 You’re in the right train of thought, and you’d be correct if the titanic was an airtight vessel. You would be correct, in that if there were pockets of air still stuck inside the ship as it sank, but because she wasn’t airtight, (stairways, broken portholes, the iceberg contact area, being literally ripped in half, etc) as it filled up with water, the pressure equalized both inside and out. While not *directly* related, it’s effectively in the same vein of “if your car is underwater in a lake/ocean you won’t be able to open the door until it’s fully filled” kind of thing, because the pressure needs to equalize on both sides of the door. The human body has an innumerable amount of sealed, airtight chambers, and valves, and tubes that, when exposed to pressure high enough, will collapse. But steel plating mind you also has a much, *much,* higher PSI compression rate than human organ tissue. Edit: sorry for the wall of text, I was a HUGE titanic nerd in my younger days and now am actually a pressure systems mechanic for Hydrovac trucks. This whole resurgence into the titanic has been really fun for me ahaha I love talking about it.

Everyone forgets that back then, on transatlantic ocean liners, people would tie their shoes together and leave them outside of the cabin for the cabin boys to collect for polishing. They were returned in the morning so they would have clean shoes for the day. This is why so many of the shoes that remain on the seabed are so close together. It's not where a body landed, it's where the tied together shoes landed.

01. Preservation of organic materials: The Titanic sank in 1912, and since then, the underwater environment, with its cold temperatures and limited oxygen, has created a unique preservation scenario. Organic materials, including clothing and fabrics, are typically well-preserved in such conditions. However, it's important to note that the preservation doesn't mean that these materials retain the colors or stains they had at the time of the sinking. 02. Decomposition and staining: Decomposition in water is a complex process that involves the breakdown of organic matter. While some bodily fluids, including blood, may be released during decomposition, the notion that these fluids would permeate clothing and cause persistent stains is not accurate. In fact, underwater decomposition is likely to result in the dispersal of bodily fluids into the surrounding water rather than their retention within clothing fibers. 03. Environmental factors: The deep-sea environment where the wreckage of the Titanic lies is characterized by immense pressure. However, the pressure alone does not turn body fluids into a pasty substance as claimed. Instead, the pressure tends to compress and compact objects, which could affect the structural integrity of items but would not result in the specific phenomenon described. 04. Oxidation and rust: One of the reasons for the reddish-brown coloration commonly observed on artifacts from the Titanic is oxidation. Metal objects, such as iron and steel, when exposed to water and oxygen over extended periods, undergo corrosion and form rust. This chemical process contributes to the discoloration of certain materials but is unrelated to the myth of stained clothing caused by decomposed body fluids.

Ya know what would be cool , be iv always wondered about the titanic since I was a Lil kid is what the pool room looks like now and the rooms that where sealed off by the water right doors..... thing is one of those rooms may have air pockets.. even tho the pressure is ridiculous. But deep inside titanic with all the steal n iron and concrete deep down and the giant water tight doors locked shut... may have actually kept water out of one of those rooms.... or a possible air pocket somewhere but thing is we won't ever know unless they can find a way to get into them or scan into it those areas... because the pool area is sealed shut completely and some of the lower areas are completely sealed shut because of those water tight doors.. the water just went up over them. And there is areas inside the ship that are still in decent shape considering how longs its been down there...

Hey thanks! I meant to explain why skeletons and all remains have disappeared. Normal decomposition doesn't occur this fast - and that's why we still have bodies from ancient times. Sorry that wasn't too clear - but thanks for pointing it out! Helps me focus my scripts better :)
@AfromanRants

@@SymbolSageWe still have bodies from ancient times because of a little thing called “preservation”…. Without it, bodies disintegrate completely in about 11 years. Bones *may* stay behind because they’re mostly calcium and not many creatures eat bone regularly unless the body is exposed. But typically, even in dirt, bones will disintegrate too. I’m sorry but you made a video wasting a whole ass minute of my time to say “they decomposed”…. Not to mention you’re flat out wrong. Cold and pressure preserve things LONGER than things that are kept warm. There are no bodies found because the pressure at the bottom the ocean at the titanics depth is 2.9 TONNES per square INCH. The bodies would have been crushed into a vaguely pink mist before they even hit the bottom. Tell me you don’t have any idea what you’re talking about without telling me you don’t have any idea what you’re talking about….

I think your all wrong . There might not be bodies in that depth because they had life jackets and if they didn't doesn't bodies float and fill with gasses as they decompose . I think they found most of the dead body's when they went and looked for them all. We're not most of the people be on the decks to save themselves . I thought body's float ?

This is not 100% true. The Titanic did exceed the speed limit, yes, but it did not hit an iceberg. The Titanic rammed into Chuck Norris who was in the North Atlantic at the same time exercising doing swim laps. Chuck later said when he was asked in Nova Scotia that he definitely would have swam back to help the survivors, but that he didn't notice the impact of the ship hitting him. Period! Case closed! Chuck always gets the shit end of the stick when it comes to the Titanic. People are always looking for a scapegoat!
