You have the permission and ability to pursue all your passions, all at once, despite societal norms and ideas. Multi-Hyphenate Nada Taha had to hit bottom before realizing that neglecting any part of yourself wouldn’t lead to success but treating yourself like a complete and comprehensive business would. It’s a form of self care that not only creates a more fulfilling life for you, but allows your work to reach and impact more people. After taking a break from her 10-year radio career and starting two creative services agencies, Nada made her return to radio with Apple Music in 2020. First hosting Soundcheck Radio - A moment-based and dynamic daily show reflecting and promoting Apple Music Country. She was then tapped to host The Country Chart Show in February 2021. The self-proclaimed “Hot Mess,” Nada brings her uncompromising opinions, inside-the-industry stories straight from Nashville and tastemaker music choices to the show that features the top 20 songs on Apple Music Country. Every day, Nada connects the dots between music and pop culture for listeners in a way that’s relevant, dynamic, and raw.
Nada decided to take a bet on herself in 2017 when she quit her job at iHeartRadio where she spent time as a music and digital director, and five years as an on-air personality on the nationally syndicated Country morning radio show, the “Bobby Bones Show” to start her own company. In 2019, she launched a second company - creative and artist services firm GoodCopBadCop, a co This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. When meeting someone new, I never ask them what they do as I think it's rude. I ask them "how was your week?" and use that to start the conversation. People may say "I've been busy with work" or "I've been producing some music" etc and it's a better way to engage in my opinion

It's a nice thing to say but career, daily tasks of living and social obligations take up a lot of time and there's just not a lot of energy left over for many adults . The problem is often isn't just one of suppressed desire but logistics .

...jack of all trades... was not used by Shakespeare. Supposedly it was used to criticize Shakespeare. The second sentence came a couple hundred years later. The revision mentioned here is from this century.

Summary: Do not identify only with your primary occupation or work. Follow your passions, which are based on your story, which is your brand. Treat yourself like a business. Make and become your own brand. Let it guide your purpose just like businesses do. Be on brand. Be open to doing more that just one thing and realize that if you follow your passions by letting them shape your brand, you may well find success.
