Deut 22:5 speaks of not dressing to blur identities, it is not necessarily about wearing trousers or not, if you check the root meanings of the words you will see that the man's own is kelee- which basically means a man's apparatus, mantle, dress etc while that of a woman is simlah which speaks of her dress, mantle etc. This scripture speaks more of the distinct roles for a man and a woman. Interestingly the same word for the woman is used 29 times in the Bible and if you check you will see that it depends on the context

the command against indecent dressing stands but you can't use Deut 22:5 to prove this because that is not what the bible is pointing at, in the passage. It might interest you to note that we usually use this scripture as it applies to women only and we don't talk about it in reference to men. How could the Bible be one-sided? how can a man wear a woman's clothing? The Bible is talking about dressing in ways that blur identities, taking roles of one another. check the root words in Hebrew and you will see the one for men refer to armour. The woman should not wear the man's armour, and the man should not wear the woman's apparel or her mantle. Women must not pretend to be men, and men must not pretend to be women. The LORD your God is disgusted with people who do that

It is important to note that the scriptures weren't written in English and sometimes words can be a bit misleading unless we care to check the root words etc, for women it's simlah pronounced simlaw) and for men, it is kelee( which means a man's armour)..it is a command against dressing in a manner which deliberately blurs the lines between the sexes. It's pointing at cross-dressing, they are to retain their distinct identities.

Men wore robes at that time but the abomination was to women and men who wear one another’s clothing. Let’s read with understanding and wisdom, and If you want to use Old Testament then you would not eat shrimp, crab , or fish without fins, or get blood transfusions according to Leviticus 11. These are all under law. Sis Gloria’s statement of being a “stumbling block” from the teachings of Apostle Paul is a better way to make this statement. As she said, sone things are nit sin, but we do these things to create a pattern of behavior and to not appear as the world. Additionally, particularly in many Africa church services, women singing on worship teams specifically, west tight pants, pants that point out the sacral parts of a woman’s body. This can be distracting to the opposite sex. So I’m in concert with Sis Gloria and her points of views on dressing and accessories. But not because of an Old Testament scripture that was not written to individuals who have the New covenant In Christ Jesus. Otherwise every scripture in Old Testament must be followed. Giving young women a chance to have their own conviction is good instead of demanding the change. Holy Spirit does the work. Always in love!

For this situation, God will give you grace. I’m saying this from a personal experience. Living within the western world trousers are common especially during winter periods but when you pray and ask God for help, he will come through. The grace will be sufficient enough to overcome. During the winter I don’t even feel that cold, because God guides me to the right things to wear to keep warm. Hope this helps, God bless.

Yes, They do not know, and therefore they won't receive whatever word from the Lord you have to offer to them. So it's a choice to either win souls for Jesus or do whatever we like in the name of it is not a sin. Remember this is reported speech and she could have been misquoted. From what is narrated here, she didn't say women should not wear them but rather wear them modestly.
