Ever try to fix a headlight and end up diagnosing the entire electrical system? Hate when that happens

Prob only take 30 mins to diagnose the headlight. First thing after testing voltage and ground you should have got a 4 foot wire and directly connected the headlight to the battery test the light itself the inside switch works since the driver light works. So it is a connection issue between switch and headlight. Using a direct connection between light and battery will tell you the lights good or bad. But before that testing voltage and ground with a meter should tell you if both are good. If the ground is good move to line side and backtrace the wire. Voltage good add a ground and see if light works.

I ended up doing most of that off camera. I found that the stock harness had a bad ground pretty quickly but wondered if there were other issues. Unfortunately, I wasted more time on it than it needed and ended up just running a new ground😂

You guys at Wild Horses have a wiring harness for upgraded headlights.... did you use it?

Have you ever had it in deep water? Look who I’m asking. No offense , really .😇 The only headlight problem I’ve had with my bronco was the dimmer switch.

This one hasn’t been in too deep water haha😂 I replaced the dimmer. But finally went back to the main issue of that ground. I decided to quit chasing my tail and just ground the harness closer to the light.
