Van Gaal, Mourinho, Rangnick were way past their prime to have come here. ETH is the only second manager after SAF to have come here in his prime.

I agree with you as I believe he will be a great addition to the team. A Dutch silent assassin sneaking in under the radar of a lot of Man U fans but who I believe will be a big hit and gain a permanent move. In Erik we trust.

I think it's a smart signing, he's probably not what most United supporters wanted but under the circumstances I think it's a clever signing it's only on loan till June but I think he will show hunger and fighting spirit, United is far the biggest club he played for and he will give everything to play at this level

Not really a modern day striker for me. Apart from height and good runs, he's too slow for a striker¬ as agile. Peter crouch was even faster with more agility than he is. If u look at all leagues across Europe, teams in 1st to 6th positions, strikers that have delivered and still do are petty good dribblers, fast&very goal intelligent. He's non of that Look at older Messi &Ronaldo, Benzima&Mbappe,Salah, Haarland, Kane or Vardy, all the above mentioned can score u a goal off an accurate long pass or counter attack, but not Wout Weghorst. Yes he scored that only goal after 3 appearances, but what does it tell u when a young and short Gernacho dat comes on when required on debut and after and scores the most needed goal? Speed, intelligence, agility are required for goal assurance. Good on loan, but not for keeps

Any signing decision from Ten Haag and his team is Golden. I don't even think twice about it. Now, any player Ten Haag shows interest to buy, every other manager starts fighting to buy the same player. Eg Liverpool (Gakpo). Even though he was a second option at the time. Haag is a reincarnation of Sir Alex. I can my pride each time we play. United we stand.

His movement is perfect he creates space for bruno to score against palace, and against arsenal again he make a run from behind to create space for rashford. And he is good at pressing. Thats what you call a striker. I think theirs nore goal to come from him

100% smart singing. I´m Dutch, and a Ajax fan. Erik Ten Hag is grown up in the countryside, and he also likes players that grown up there, because of often better mentally and work ethic. Players grown up in the city often have less of that skills

A bit premature but I hope we do get back to competing at the top. Beating arsenal and City is a real sign that we can compete with the top sides and our consistency is starting to show we have the ability to beat weaker sides regularly. It's really heading in the right direction but I don't think we should expect too much too soon. We need healthy expectation not Tub thumping.

i also agree that he is a shrew signing by EtH. In United, he have superior support from the midfield in Eriksen, Bruno and Casemiro. He also have Rashy and Antony providing crosses. He will score goals

It doesn't really matter. They can submit an official bid to Burnley if he impresses in the team. He wouldn't cost more than 15m so it'd still be a very good deal. But it's if he can surpass set expectations

Note that Weghorst is not a typical Ajax player. ETH does what is needed, and I believe MU needs him. Weghorst can win/save lockup games up to the very last minute. He is a breaker.

I have been a UTD fan for a long time and I am ecstatic with how Ten Hag has transformed UTD. He has achieved miracles already but there is some serious Tub thumping going on in these comments. Let's just calm down, wait as the season progresses and then get carried away when we achieve actual success. He hasn't won a thing yet.

@@cameronjones8641 I still do not get what it is that bothers you.United is certainly as big a club as Bayern or Madrid.It is just that we have fallen by the wayside since SAF left.But i certainly think that there is nothing with the hope that a properly backed TenHag can put United back where they should be: mixing it up with Bayern or Madrid.Nobody said it is happening this season.If we get new owners who can back his vision why cant we be mixing it up with Bayern. Remember that at Ajax he beat Madrid in the CL so what is unrealistic about hoping/ expecting him to do the same at United.Certainly he is not scared of those teams.

The game is heading towards the traditionally #9 unlinke what the last decade produced. false 9. once we tweak the system the introduction of an Osimen or Valhovic will be seamless. I dont understand rich clubs signing a Dutch manager. Its like the worst financial decision your club can take. Look in to the history where Dutch managers achieved to be the manager of big clubs. Cruyff, Koeman, van Gaal, Gullit etc etc they all have scammed money to Dutch clubs or signed Dutch players who didnt deserve to play there. The decision is not mine but when im looking to this part of football history i would never take a Dutch manager, specially when i have money to spend as a club. You can be sure the cash will go to the Eredivisie and you will get overvalued Dutch players.

Very diffrent player. Who always was surrounded by the best from a very young age. In Arsenal side he played with Bergkamp and Henry, which i am sure helped his progress a lot. But i do believe he will bring goals. If ETH can manage to get the wingers to cross like 50% of the time.

Erik didnt get Wout for the starting 11. He gives man united more option when they are behind or the game asks for a target man. Weghorst will give 100% always, he is not a great player, but he is a great character. Just enjoy the occasional goal when he comes off the bench.

I disagree with you on the greatness. CR7 was a great player yet he could not take UTD top 4. Yet with Wout you have as you mentioned a great character, unlike most stars. And except for Burnley the man has scored like it is nothing, which to me is the single most important thing a striker should do. Be availeble and score when you can. Just like KJ Huntelaar who was underrated if you ask me.
