First the Hornet now this. I’m actually starting to agree with you lol. I have a Harley and a gen 3 MT-09 but I’ve barely ridden my Harley in the past 2 years since I got the MT. It instantly became my cruiser and favorite bike I’ve owned. Really my favorite vehicle I’ve ever owned and I’ve had some pretty awesome car builds before bikes took over my life.

You gotta try a Kawasaki z900. Has a bit more power than the MT-09 but is super smooth. They geared it low so it's a blast to ride at slower speeds and has good around town manners but is also ready to party if you give it some throttle!

I feel what you’re saying. You have a kinda unique definition going here for cruiser. You kinda ride unique in general. For riding around the city etc it’s a perfect bike. Cruisers make some sense once you start actually cruising on interstates and all but for this sort of riding you can’t really beat it especially for the price. That said you cant really go wrong with a ton of todays bikes

When I was at the dealership to buy the 2023 Vulcan S, I saw an MT07 that made me double think my decision. I sat on both and the MT sat a little higher. Maybe I didn’t let the suspension compress enough but that’s basically the only reason to make me stick on getting the Vulcan S. As my first bike, I don’t regret it, but I know what my 2nd bike will. be. Thanks for the review man.

I passed my test on an MT-07, don't you find the new versions have an off sounding stock exhaust? I loved the bike, but ended up getting a cb650R.. that as stock sounds incredible.

Ive always been a Yamaha fan & I DO want an MT07 but i currently have a '23 Vulcan S & im very happy with the performance. Even at 6' 2" & 250lbs it has plenty of get up & go grunt for a 650cc 😊

I just got home from buying myself a 2022 MT07 as my first bike (other than my 05 ninja 500 I got that stopped running after a month)

My wife and me love mt07s that much we bought one each. Just got back from a 3500km round trip a few weeks ago and both bikes were perfect. I cant recommend them high enough.

The main factor and if a bike is a cruiser or a sport bike is the weight ratio from the rear tire to the front tire. A sport bike has more weight on the front tire

Yeah nothing beats the Twin with a pipe sound track , my Scout with performance pipe sounds so drag racy and Loud😅! I wish I would have got the MT 07 instead of the 09 , fun per buck you just can’t beat it!

Personally, I think crusiers are not about comfort or long-distance touring or interstate miles. Their not even about a particular style or seating position or looking cool. I think the only trait consistent among crusiers is that they respond best to a relaxed riding style. I think that is why sportier riders have trouble understanding them. Crusiers, even fast crusiers, are by my definition antithetical to aggressive or sporty riding. You can do it, but unlike a zx6r, the more of a cruiser the bike is, the less it will appreciate being pushed. And a crusier won't beg you to do any more than occasionally twist the throttle a bit in a straight line, if that. I think MT07 leans in this direction compared to sportier upright naked bikes, but I wouldn't say it quite crosses the line of what I would consider a crusier. It's just capable of crusing in a way a v4 tuono isn't.

I'll probably get a MT-07 for long distance driving... I've got a Honda Ruckus and a Vitacci Tank 200 and there's really nothing that beats them driving in the city and/town... I can put a large pizza on the foot area on my Ruckus and I have side bags on my Tank... I can carry all kinds of things on my scooters... You can't do that on a motorcycle...

Yes Naked Bikes cost less because they are Naked.. My 2016-FZ-07 was $7,400.00 out the Door. $400 less than a 2017 Mode and $400 less for being non ABS .. the MT-07 is ABS only.. Seems you said you put in aftermarket Fork Cartridges that is a must DO upgrade. I have more fun riding my 2008 Buell Ulysess XT .. It's supposed to be 103 HP I pretty much passed everyone I encounter on the Tail of the Dragon with my FZ-07.. I took the side cases Top Case ,, Tank Bag and Windscreen off when I set up my Tent at the Tail of the Dragon .. I even passed guys in Leather race suits with pucks on their knees and Elbows on Ducati's

Do not, I repeat DO NOT get a superbike for the track, especially if you have never been to the track. It is a different animal and you could get messed up no matter how much gear you have on. Start little like a ninja 400 or that MT. You’ll see why one day if you start doing trackdays. I don’t mean any disrespect or anything, just giving you some good advice. Watch a little Motojitsu, he explains it pretty well in some of his videos.

I've looked into the MT07 and the R7. Purchasing the bike wouldn't be an issue, especially with the sub 10k price tag. I pulled up progressive and two other insurance companies and they tried quoting me well over 2k for the year. This bike for no reason at all other than the actions of other people, is nearly impossible for me (and im sure plenty of others) to afford because of this. Note that I do not have any traffic violations, have never been in an accident, and have never been given a reason to call my insurance company other than to change or cancel plans. I live in VA right off the border of West VA and am getting prices you'd expect to see in California. Sucks man.

Bro, you ONLY buy a Ducati to rip and go! The Dieval is Ducati's "Cruiser" bike, but at the same time it is Ducati's biggest in the "Monster" series. F those "Hardly" riders, you can't say HD and Ducati in the same sentence, that's disrespectful to Ducati. But, the MT-07 is a very sexy and punchy bike. My only gripe about my 21 MT (i'm sure you agree) is that the seat hurts your butt after a 2 hour ride. That seat is HARD as f*&k! but other than that....the MT-07 is a VERY fun bike to zip around in.

My 883 sportster has ran 7.29 @98mph. My mt07 has run 8.40 @84mph. All runs at barona 1/8 mile track in lakeside California. I absolutely love both bikes but if I’m really feeling like a hooligan I hop on my sportster.

The old Yamaha MT-01 sounds even better.

You need to look into getting a Victory Octane. Its super light for a cruiser and it will run the quarter mile in 11 seconds with performance intake exhaust and programmer. There hard to find but there cheap used at about 6k. You can even ride a wheelie on it. I can pop and ride a small wheelie for a short distance but I need to practice on my dirtbike before I try to ride a long wheelie on my octane. Its so fast of the line. Your bike is slow and runs a 14 second quarter mile. 😝
