@@Rodutchi trust me I thought I wouldn't be able to see my mistakes, but after looking over a few there are some glaringly obvious ones. And even when I look over a replay or two and think I didn't see any mistakes and didn't learn from it, I ALWAYS go on a winning streak for a while. @@Rodutchi you should look at high level content creaters who look at your rank replays of other people. And generally you will find mistakes they do that you do, from there you should learn a lot. Now for me, I can find mistakes easily but the hardest part is definitely trying to fix them.

You are absolutely right and I never sat down to think about it that way. I am at D2 right now and I can't seem to climb higher, but something rang a bell when you said "lower ranks let easier shots in". For the longest time I only focused on my rotations and never put the time to train my accuracy or power. I got from P1 to D2 very fast after focusing on positioning and rotations, but now in D2, even if my rotations are good, most of my shots get saved (something that didn't happen in plat) because honestly they are pretty mediocre. I literally just realized this when you said it. Thank you so much, now I know on what to focus my training. You are the best and I love you.

The best thing I've found with shooting drills is to pick a place in the goal and keep repeating the shot until you can hit that spot. Understand why you hit that spot and then move on. You can then apply that knowledge to other shots.

@NoMercy8008

First and most important things first: Great video, thanks a lot for it! I have been watching your content since i started playing Rocket League back in 2019 und i still find all of your videos really really helpful and enjoyable! Much appreciated! I also have a little suggestion/question, which i feel kinda fits to the topic of this video. It's maybe a bit of a difficult one und sorta covered in other videos, but I personally could see it being helpful to make one whole video dedicated to it. So here it is: Mistakes happen. Constantly and to everyone. Most of your videos to me are more or less about spotting your mistakes and becoming better to avoid them in the future. But even to the best of the best, mistakes still occasionally happen. And recovering from those mistakes can be an art in and of itself. So I think a video about some of the most common mistakes and how to recover from them in case they do happen to you or your team would maybe be super helpful to many of us, I feel. Again, I know this is a difficult topic and sorta situational, so I'd totally understand if you think it ultimately doesn't make sense, but i wanted to leave the suggestion here in case others are interested, so I hope this gives you some inspiration, if you want :) Also, I'd like to describe one mistake that at the moment seems to happen to me and the randoms I play with pretty often: I'm in low to mid Plat currently, so rotations are still a bit weird in many games. I always try my best to rotate and go backpost to cover as much of the goal as possible. But I often find myself in the situation where i am backpost and I see both of my teammates in our own corner chasing for the ball. In these situations I usually think to myself something in the lines of: "If i kinda hit the brakes and wait backpost where I am, I kill all my momentum and become an easy target for a demo play. But if I kinda creep forwards to keep my momentum or drive in a circle or something, I'd essentially leave my backpost spot and put myself into a position where i might not be able to make a save. So what do I do? What's the best way to react in this situation when i know that I'm the only one backpost and noone is behind me?". That also often leads to me kinda hesitating, and hesitation is mostly a bad thing, which is another reason why I want to find out what I can do better :) So in other words: How to make the most of a situation where I know that the rotation is already messed up? Just to make it clear: I don't want to blame my teammates for it or anything, I'm not perfect myself, again mistakes happen to everyone, so no hard lines intended here. This is mainly about a situation where some mistake has already happened and I wonder how I can fix it or at least make the most out of it without making it even worse. Any constructive input would be much appreciated :) And again, thanks a lot for your videos!

But after watching this video I analysed my replays and found that I'm challenging every single time even when the ball is closer to the opponent and getting outplayed ruthlessly making it difficult for my teammates to contain the attack. I worked on that in some casual matches and found immediate success. Finally the day before yesterday I went past plat and now I'm a diamond 2 on my 2s and diamond 1 on 3s. Thank you Thanovic. I honestly do really well and then ill get flustered due to my random teammates lack of consistency. That always takes me out of my groove and I start making stupid choices, whiffing or just going for the ball when I shouldn't. Just need to work on keeping my composure.

Backboards are what got me to champ. The hardest thing I've found and something you may want to put time into is placing where the clears go. For backboard reads the golden rule is that the ball drops like 90% of the time. Learning to read the drop is difficult but satisfying.

I’ve been ranking up in diamond recently. I got d2 div 2 in 2s and then worked from plat3 to d2 div 2 in 2s. I play other games mainly and then rocket league when I’m bored. Idk tho I’m happy where I’m at rn

Im a low rank player and I was hardstuck on silver 3 😅😭 my boost and defensive game were better than those of my mates. But I started to watch my replays and analyse what’s wrong. So I realized that my ball touches, passes and shots were really ineffective. And after working on it for 1-2 weeks, I hitted plat 2. Im now stuck on plat 2, but that’s okay because I know I have to work on my mechanics and my consistency. So watching your replays is a big help. And yes there are a few matches where it’s your mates fault you lose..but in the next game it’s maybe yours 😏 so be kind we all play for fun

This is so helpful, for real. I've been stuck in plat 2 even tho I play like champ I'm really good mechanicly I can flip reset, double flip reset ,double touch and so on (I freestyle a lot) I've written the things I need to improve on and it actually helps... A TON

Great vid Thanovic, ironically I realized that these very basics were what was keeping me in diamond and finally hit champion a few days ago by purely focusing on them. I've not done much replay analysis because frankly, I'm not sure how to really spot the habitual flaws rather than obvious mistakes. Perhaps a new vid on how you would do that would be helpful to myself and others. Thanks man, and who wouldn't take your advice?? You've come so far before our own eyes.
