Somewhat updated take, I would be very okay with this being the new best armor in the game in multiple areas IF it is incredibly rare I would love for there to be an actual "exclusive" "endgame" armor set. Currently the best armor and weapons in the game are required to be considered midgame. If the new armor sat around 1-3b per piece and was better than Necron I think it would be perfectly justified, the best gear in the game should not be required to be "midgame".

There is one thing I don't really like about the game design, that thing being the Dragon Protector summons from the Primal Dragon attack. The main issue is that there is NO incentive the target the golems instead of the dragon, but on top of that the golems have ridiculous health. They also have a separate bestiary (would make more sense going into endstone protector bestiary), which is nearly impossible to unlock. One more thing I think could be changed is the Blade of the Dragonfire, the actual sword itself is perfectly fine, but I think instead of the RNG drop being the sword itself, it should be an item to upgrade the AOTD to the new sword. It would actually give the AOTD a little bit more of a use and also make upgrading your weapon a little more seamless. That suggestion is more just personal preference tho.

If it destroys the meta for 3 different armor sets at the same time it's busted. Adding special abilities to armor sets gives them a niche use, but making it better for EHP than goldor, better for damage than Necron, and better magic find than Clover is just straight-up overpowered. Its as if Wither Impact had only 50 Mana Cost and had a 16 block AOE.

do we know how long it will take for the update to be out? maybe some predictions based off of previous updates (how long they were released after alpha)

i think if the armor has the damage lower a bit but still high ehp and magic find it will be fine and also only cata 16 to use that needs to go to like 30 and it should not be the best armor for dungeons

One thing I think you missed with the community interaction: it’s skyblock and the end is going to be full or hyperions so those low level players will likely have a terrible time grinding eyes

I feel like its to op the best armour set for that part of them game should be from the specific part of the game like the best dungeons armour is from dungeons making the best armour for pretty much everything would be kinda weird.

Also I think a video going over everything new in alpha and ur thoughts as literal a top 50 player are, mostly cuz I Stan u boys

the armor set is crazy and I feel will probably get nerfed but people are heavily sleeping on some of these pet buffs as in addition they even smooth out early game progression even more and now the ghoul will be the best in slot for spawning revs

Only issue is that it’s better than either amor in dungeons but other than that it’s not that bad

To be fair things go in to alpha and never get implemented in the game all the time, to be fair tho dragons have been due for an update for two years and this is a good update for sure

I think they should nerf the armor to be the best magic find set, outside dungeons it should deal a little bit less damage than crimson but have a good amount more ehp, and same for in dungeons but with necron.

I think people are overreacting about the armor because like you said in the video its going to be insanely expensive to get a shot at having the full set of armor. Since everyone has access to the armor set on alpha it makes them think its going to be easy and cheap to get it. Like summoning eyes average about 900k (before this update) which makes having a chance to summon the primal dragon cost 57600000. Which alone is more expensive than the wither armor sets.

Honestly.... I like the armor, because I want to see a dragon armor set to be the best armor set in the game again. Maybe they should nerf it in some aspects, for example they should nerf the magic find on the set. I would like to see this set as a good alternative to other sets in the game.

my issue with this from the perspective of a solo ironman player is how painful this could be to grind. i would have to compete with everyone else grinding summoning eyes (and i expect there will be many more of those players after the update) in order to drop dozens of summoning eyes just to get a chance of dropping a primal armor piece (and likely thousands for the full set.) in addition, grinding other armor sets like wither armor and kuudra armor require you to play through dungeons and kuudra which have much more engaging gameplay than killing zealots for endless amounts of hours.

the only thing i don't get is the fact it can be dungeonised in the first place, i feel like it would be better if it could be starred but not dungeonised

Although I don't think it should be the undisputed best set by far, I'd be able to put that aside if killing zealots was remotely interesting content, pressing left/right click on millions of zealots whilst competing with 20 other players is way less engaging than dungeons/kuudra.

the drag set should be top tier because in the current state its a massive grind to get. The stats should be slightly nerfed so its not the best for everything especially the mf. The pet changes are all super good. Also mythic edrag seems like a large buff that brings it closer to gdrag. I think edrag could use a further small buff because with the mythic upgrade it will cost almost the same as a 200 gdrag. Overall a amazing update with no terriable changes.

update is nice, but the armor is just too op, maybe make the ability not apply on gems and reforges and reduce the hp and defense a bit so it no longer outclasses necron and goldor. then reduce the mf to maybe 3, so at full power it is better than sorrow, but not better than clover helm and add some petluck to the armor so it can be the new best in slot for drags and replace sup
