The harder a winter is, the sweeter summer will be. The more you suffer or the broken your environment is as a child, the longer your journey of growth will be and the more deeply you can enjoy your success once you get there. People who start out strong in life will drop into some deep pits and lose everything. Those who start out weak will grow and always be in a better situation than they started with.

I like this comment, the only thing I'd change is to specify that "unconscious people who start out strong" will suffer later. Being prosperous is not inherently bad and if you remember the Source of your blessings then you need not suffer unnecessary lessons like those deeply unconscious ones. You instead learn, level up and move onto the next challenge attracting more blessings as you go.
@MrSaemichlaus

@@ZakkFromSource I appreciate that addition. Any parent should strive to gift their children with the best opportunities and assets possible, but equally importantly, they need to make sure to teach them the origin and meaning of those assets, as you wrote, and the attention required to preserve and further grow those assets. If not, they will leave their children a pasture with sinkholes, which might trip them and plunge them into chaos, which would be irresponsible of a parent.

Best takeaway from this video, in my opinion. Also don’t stress about figuring out what you want to do. No one can expect a 20 yr old to have that worked out in most cases. It’s nonsense. You can be 60 and not have that worked out. But following this tip will ensure you never wasting your time. Have your life right now whether you know “what you want to do” or not. It’s an ongoing process that almost no one ever works out to their satisfaction. Move toward things you like and away from things you don’t. Try not to stress about it because there is huge mythology surrounding this. I could be all of your mom’s, pretty sure. Enrich yourself always but know you are enough right now. 💕✅

*My Learnings* 1. All Change is Identify Change 2. Change your identity but dont limit it 3. Take actions as your ideal version would have taken 4. Changing your identity can be achieved by three of many ways described in this video • Hitting Rock bottom in your life • Doing small changes - Questioning your actions - Figuring out cause • Create your own vision for your future

Well explained, Dan. I second the notion of changing your identity if you want to reinvent yourself. If you want your ideal behaviors to come naturally, you muct detach yourself from what you currently are. Envision yourself as someone to whom they're not a "chore", but a way of living life. Appreciate your content. 🙌

Hey Dan, Thank you for sharing such useful advice. I began my journey to reinvent myself a year ago, and I'm now living healthier, more confident, and stronger, earning six figures, and having time to enjoy family and friends. I'm happier now because I'm living my life for myself. This is to encourage someone that "you may start whenever you want to have a reset, it's worth it!" I'm striving to keep growing since it's a journey.

I love the scientific approach to designing your life. It's very similar to the mental model I'm using now: approaching changing my life as a software program (I'm a dev) Identifying bugs, testing solutions, adding conditionals for different cases, exceptions handling, incremental refactoring, documentation, change logs.... it's my professional deformation 😅

I loved playing with photoshop and corel draw until I was 18 and I was pushed to study things that I didn't want so much and work on those things. Now I'm taking online courses on photoshop, audio mixing and adobe premiere. and that's it, there's no age to start over. 36 this year and it's forward that life has to go.

I'm on a new chapter of my life, spent the last 12 years in self imposed poverty, living on small solar panels with a headlamp as my light source, not having a bathroom, or kitchen sink for 12 years, having to make everything from my shelters to my wood stoves from scratch. There have been moments where I wanted to give in and go get a comfortable job and quietly quit, but now I've suffered to the extent that I have a handful of companies trying to poach me from my mentor to manage their companies, or setup my specific niche business within their property. I've only been at my new house for a day now and brought the morale of everyone that lives here up by fixing their septic, resetting their DSL internet, fixing the wood stove to sweat the humidity out of the house from 85% to 61%, rewiring 2 prong outlets with grounds to 3 prong, killing multiple rats, removing mummy rats from the crawl spaces and removing furniture covered i old cat urine. I'm so happy to do these things too, it's now a easy job, but my mood is higher than ever before, because I have major appreciation for a warm sink, a highly efficient wood stove, my own room that overlooks a vast swatch of land, and many people. This only happened though after I hit rock bottom last year when my last property got sold, and I felt aimless because I never truely recovered from losing 80% of my whole sale accounts which made my business nonviable due to lack of employees to fill the work demands requires for increasing retail sales. If you want to lead, you above all else need to hold this mentality at all times and be warey of sinicism, because bad vibrations exhibited by a leader will ripple throughout the troop. scouts honor

I find it easiest to make big changes directly after big changes occur in my own life, such as moving to a new home or city; drastically rearranging rooms; a new car; new job; returning from vacation-all very easy ways of interrupting behavior/habit. Even New Year’s can provide a measure of this disruption as life tends to pause around then. The greater the disruption, the more freedom one has to make new behaviors; indeed is forced to create new behaviors. After the disruption, the process depends on using the newly freed energy on the behaviors I want to make. I used this to quit smoking twice, and to develop discipline for new projects. Fasting can intensify the process by the momentum it can provide. Fasting is like adding a psychological exclamation mark to anything you value, and can greatly strengthen and magnify mind-body anchors.

I was not expecting this, but your so insightful and this really spoke to me, as I am in that place right now where I am taking small actions to change my lazy habits and develop my goals for this year, versus not having any self discipline, in 51 years I didn't even have any goals, I am now 54, I do have some goals now, and I know if I keep making consistent progress and plan out each step of my goals that I want to complete I can get there one step at a time. This video, is insightful, impactful, it also has parts which speaks volumes, it is really awesome. Great video. I gave this a like thumbs up. Thanks Laura in uk

I agree with you.. but I think it is possible to change instantly.. I listened to Allen Carr quit smoking and it instantly made me not even want to smoke anymore after years of trying and failing to quit.. haven't smoked cigarettes in over a year thanks to just listening that audio book. Now I study hypnotism and nlp because if a book can make such a huge change for me, then imagine what else can be changed that quickly.

My biggest waves are coming from within, like tsunamis. I am bipolar. The good thing is that it's relatively predictable and managaböe to an extent. The worst thing is that it's much easier to drown. Having proper life support in place is paramount, but there's anyway a lot of wasted time going through deepest and higest points when I'm not able to row properly.

Yep. Life. Sure comes in waves. You can look into the future all you want but sticking to the present moment is what sets you apart from everyone else. The past doesn't do you much good either. As soon as you get an illness. You start focusing on the present moment because there is no but if of tomorrow. Or, looking in the past. What you could've done because nothing you can do will change it except enjoying the process of what you already have. What if, I do this tomorrow? Well that's not happening, I could be dead or worse being disabled and watching your life go by into smothers. All I want do in life is to CREATE like you :). Getting an illness is what really sets you in place to be honest. It's unfathomable/unimaginable. I could've complained to my current doctors or just do tests on my own then go back to the doctors be like BOIIIIII DO I GOT NEWS FOR YOU. The quote of "Do what you can control ( the process ) and leave the rest to fate". I actually enjoy being healthy except the meals in the morning. Too indecisive of what I want to eat but the meals like protein shakes everyday regardless, If I worked out or not. I enjoy it and helps me sleep because of the long lasting bcaa animo acid profiles from casein. I don't workout because I want to get a partner. I do it for my own sake, to not feel sore when sitting in my chair for 12-14 hours a day. Even though, I have a good chair but you'll get sore regardless. Non-excusable. The time when I was borderline diabetic and gained 10 lbs within a week was horrific = immediately went to the gym and got semi-muscular. TDLR: A year later, my digestion has changed = not pre-diabetic ( I think ) anymore because I am able to eat as if I'm a regular person. Since in the past, I eat any carb food then I'll sleep immediately due to low energy and even with prescribed stimulants, wouldn't help. For future pre-diabetics: If you are experiencing what I was experiencing. Just eat a shit ton of protein with low carbs throughout the day, Drink Alcohol and Just WALK, STUDY AND FIXED :). Side effect: Gain weight because your body has not caught up with the metabolism produced by your thyroid glands. When? 2 months prior when I was exploring a town up north and decided to eat all protein that day while doing research for my work that I really enjoyed.

People have rightly lost trust in our failing late stage capitalism. Yet we are stuck trying to survive within it until we move on to the next way of organizing production in society. After 22 years of schooling and 20 years of working, with the burden of adult sized bills, you wake up one day to an economy that has no need for you or place for you. You don’t have years to chase down a whole new set of skills in hopes that it actually achieves something better than what the previous 45 years of learning achieved.

also anything told in history books in general before 1700's can be easily shown to be false, by evidence ( ie there is no basis for anything told about human history before then - sad but true all that is repeated in the books was validated and verified worse than wikipedia... which you know is not anywhere accurate + it is based on the unverified things taught in schoolbooks, lol )
