See I was always super disappointed by how Tartaglia was implemented as a character. His whole idea seems to be about changing from one form to another, but all you get is ranged to melee, one of which you use almost 24/7 and the other you never use at all. It would have been so much better if say his normal stance was say hydro, his e stance being electro, and his Q being Foul Legacy which just powers up whichever mode you are in to the max. I feel that then he could have some interesting team synergies where you run 2 burst DPS's of say hyrdo and electro and use their ults in opposite Tartaglia stances for super high DPS, but it would take 3 characters slots as a tradeoff and you get no real support. Basically, just make him a complete glass cannon that you can't really run supports with, but does such high damage that the risk is worth the reward.

A guy in the comments pointed out that there's an explanation to this, bc Childe used his form against the ruin guards and now he can't do too much. It would be so cool if you could make him gain back his powers by upping his constellation, maybe with a little quest for each constellation

I mean, I can understand removing huge attacks like the whale or the foul legacy transformation since it is a bit too much work to do, but they could have at least kept his shield and the sprint could have been the "sliding" one just to at least keep it similiar to the original, I can understand it's hard work to animate a giant whale for every situation or changing his element, even because the Traveler is the one who can use every element even at the same time in some animations, sure they can't use it at the same time while playing but I can understand why they want to avoid a double element character to be playable, that would be too OP with or without transformation, plus there's also the chance they have something in mind and want to use this detail of being able to use two elements with the Traveler unless the Traveler will unlock a different (their original) power towards the end which will also (I hope) finally make them have a animation like all the other 5 stars. I mean, Barbara have one and she's a 4 star why should the traveler not have it being a 5 star? Probably because they don't want to animate seven different burst and they will only when they unlock their real power.
