Started with a Series S after having owned an Xbox One. The SSD is such a major upgrade and quick resume is amazing. The backwards compatibility with previous gens is also a very underrated features. The lack of te blu-ray drive did have me still using my Xbox One for some games until I've gotten the series X.

Xbox dropping the series s was a brilliant move they could have easily just dropped the series X and went head on with the ps5 but this showed they care about helping everyone get on the next gen systems if you're on a budget it's a perfect console and even if you're a not it's still brilliant.

Ive helped a couple friends who sat out of the past generation get back into gaming with Game Pass and series S. Everyone has a TV/ monitor and for about $300 you can play a decades worth of titles, plus the latest . With cloud gaming you can sample so many more games.

I just love the thing about getting a next gen console without wait like 5 years to have a version and a price that can be bought with my budget, and the prices of the digital offers, the small space, the ssd that made the 5 minute wait of the xbox one s into 30 seconds from start the console until i start playing, its truly very good. the only bad point i watch is the lack of space, but that thing is the only one ps5 did good having a m2 nvme ssd space in their hardware... the other things were done good by xbox, and i am waiting for a ps5 with good cooling and price to play gravity rush remastered and gravity rush 2. i love how the series keeps it updated, the console its so fitting in my small room, and the OS is pretty smoth, i will like a series x, but for the price and games i play, i think i do not gonna buy one in some time, specially because i need to finish some games and i need a better tv to have the 4k at 60fps on series x., ant the price for it is not cheap, but having 1080p in 60 fps on series s, is just magical how good for the price the thing is.

Great video again man. The biggest win for me with the Series S that doesn’t get talked about enough is the non-exclusive games that are still day one Game Pass (Plague Tale last year and Wo Long this year). Just a classy piece of kit

Bought one around Christmas for 200 bucks brand new for my daughter. She loves it I've even used it to play war zone a few times while my son played my series X in the living room. It's a damn good console You can't really beat it for the value

If you are fine with all digital and don't really care about 4k or super high end graphics. The Series S is a great option. It plays all current gen games at the lowest price.

Ive had my series s for almost 2 years now and it's perfect. It just works. Games look good and run amazing.

I got this console to use it for camping and it works amazing. The benefit is the power supply can be replaced with a 12v pico PSU and connect the console straight to a 12v battery. Not only that it works but it takes less power than PS4 slim and better graphics. I dont pay for gamepass, i just target the sales and buy the games that i only play with my friends like Fifa, MK11 and UFC. To have such a mini powerhouse portable in the middle of the desert working from solar its crazy. To make things even better i purchased a LG led projector running on USB type C which also works directly from the 12v battery.

I only play like 5 games and the Series S has enough space for them. However, sometimes there's a game my friends want me to try, and cloud play allows me to try that entire game without having it to take up space. The graphics and frames definitely take a hit, but it's fine since it's cloud play but I'm really just trying the game and not fully committed to it. So far really enjoying the Series S, can't believe it's only $250 from my local target.

As someone with a pc, a ps4 pro, 360, and a broken Xbox one, I bought one yesterday so I could play more games with my friends on console only. And I wanted to play my Xbox games again, like red red 1, fable 2, and crackdown. I don’t mind the graphics not being amazing because I have a pc for that. I just wanted my childhood gems back lol

Last Xbox I owned was a 360. I occasionally streamed my brothers Xbox one s to my PC just to play GTA V with some friends before I owned it on PC. I just picked up a series s for USD $200 that was used once before I bought it a few weeks back. Upgraded my game pass PC to ultimate for 5 dollars more a month and I am ridiculously satisfied to have a proper console again. Nothing beats the seamlessness of an operating system that is purpose built and the games available with my game pass vastly broadened. The onboard upscaling is so much better than your average TV would do. I play about 5-6 feet away from a 43" 4k screen so upscaled it looks absolutely fine for me due to the natural PPI at that distance. It has every next gen feature, emulates INSANELY well. Considering I've seen MULTIPLE for $200 this is one of the most insane used market deals to date. We are no longer in a world where you can build a PC at the same pricepoint and expect the same results. 120fps gaming on such visual titles even at 1080p is amazing. Not to mention most retailers here in the US still have the $250 brand new holiday bundle available even in February. I only use my PC for simracing, VR, and console modification now, and it's a BEEFY system, like 4k max everything every game beefy and cost me about $1600-$1700. The Xbox does all my emulation and has most of the titles I like to play other than a select few PC exclusives. All in all, Xbox series S for the win

Turn 10 Studios also claimed that the upcoming Forza Motorsport game would have raytracing along the gameplay racetrack on both the Series X and the Series S, and the Series S has a lot of games which run at 120 frames per second as well, which currently includes 90 different games. What is the 1st racing game that has been shown called? I do think about getting the series s but I'm wondering about how the input latency is on the controller when playing wireless. I don't even play games like Forza 5 because of the input and the steering there is just bad no matter how you tweak the steering sensitivity around.

Super happy it exists as I would have nothing else to game on. The only problem I have with it is that 500 GB is not enough and extra storage costs just as much as the console itself here. I do have a 1 Tb HDD so the move games feature is super handy.

Getting this while saving up for ps5 seems like the plan for me. Gonna wait for Starfield release later this year though because that'll be my decision to give this a pass or nah. Other xbox exclusives dont appeal as much but I do like the gamepass.

Series s is worth it in every way with its availability, price, gamepass, next gen experience with some lacking in 3rd party games but not that much so yeah but if you want to go all in with your savings well series X is the way

I have both PS5 and Series S. I seriously don't want to sound like a spoiled adult but anyone looking forward to buy a Series S let me tell you one thing straight. Buy PS5 or Series X if you have the money and if availability is not a major issue. Don't get me wrong, Series S performs good for the price, in fact all the 1st party Microsoft exclusives are really well optimised. But and a big but, I highly doubt that all the 3rd party developers will treat Series S with the respect and dignity it deserves, specially when Microsoft did a stupidity by not making a dedicated developer's kit for Series S. So with that being said, with time, you will essentially be playing a graphically inferior version of the game for same subscription price or purchase price. I have used both PS5 and Series S on my 4k TV and on my 1080p 144hz monitor. It's not just about the 4k resolution but even on my 1080p monitor, PS5 version of a game looks noticeably sharper with better graphical fidelity and draw distance. So spend the extra money and buy one of those powerful system, they're worth it. Saying "Series S is basically a 1080p/1440p 60 FPS Series X" is a misconception and a bit too optimistic. I don't want to demean Series S owners, it's a good system and if it's really serving you well, then who the hell am I to say anything? But this comment is specifically for anyone looking forward to buy Series S, just be aware of the compromises you are making because at the end, it's your hard earned money. Series S is strictly for casual/leisure gamers or for someone on a very VERY tight budget.

I remember a long time ago, I would play Xbox with a bunch of friends the Xbox 360 and just play call of duty all day. Now I have the series S and it works,plays great! I think that if you just want a console for 2 or 3 games it works great! But if your a big time gamer than probably won’t be an ideal console. Wife only gave permission for this series s 😂😅 but in conclusion, series s is good 👍

I have a 77" LG C1 OLED, 4K 120hrz and the series S looks fantastic on it! The in TV game optimizer confirms I am getting avg of 110 FPS in 4k while playing Halo Infinite. I have read so many or watched so many who talk about how the series S is "only max 1440p/60 hrz". Apart from that being manifestly incorrect per my LG TV's game optimizer, you are first person in my personal experience who states the obvious - IF we have a good 4k TV or monitor, the display is already upconverting to its native rez! Hello! I SERIOUSLY DOUBT anyone can visually perceive the difference between 1440p upscale to a high quality 4K TV. On a lesser quality monitor? Perhaps. But on my 77" C1? No way. When that is added to what in my case is a stunning 4K OLED, with pixel response time of 1ms or less (in practical terms, that is the equivalentof 144hrz), and the case for the series S has been made! Obviously, not everyone has, can afford, or wants a 4K OLED, but wow, what it can do for a quality 4k game! Mic drop...

Controller is nice and I don't think I'd mind digital only as long as the games are reasonable ... I don't want subscription it just doesn't suit my personality at any price... I even go pay as you go at the gym ... The other thing that is a hurdle is I don't have unlimited Internet .... so that is a barrier to having one ... laptop gaming does seem more and more like the way forward...

ye i like digital games only aswel digital games are cheaper then disc games you can even get them more cheaper by running a vpn on turkey or Argentina and add them to you MS account and instal them on the store and series S can run al games to im not a 4k gamer even i have a 4k tv a big one i like more fps instead of 4k gaming i prefer 1080p gaming always even on my ps5 i game on 1080p.

After four generations of playstation, due to not have enough money to get a ps5 (it costs around 4 to 5 minimum wages in my country) I migrated to my very first xbox, a series S. its a machine, its a really good console, fast, beautiful, compact... but I struggle every day to detach from my ps4 slim. I am sad I wont be able to play Demons Souls remake because I have played every single souls games except from that one (and my friends are all on playstation). I am also sad I wont be able to play Spider-man 2 single I also platinumed spider-man and miles morales. But hey! its what I can afford now and the cost and consol are impecable. Game pass is AWESOME and Lies of P will be on game pass so I am happily waiting. So basically its THE console, but I am just feeling down and sad and need to get over with. :(

The series S seems to hit the mark for most first party games. But throw a game like ark at it and you will have many issues not only with performance but the memory as well being as ark takes up 200gb
